  1. you can pick up resin ones on ebay but if you are after a real one then expect to pay a high price in the hundreds of dollars....
  2. Point taken. Sorry to go off topic.
  3. I have to agree with Joe on this one. Yes I am friends with Joe and I am some what biased but why should we not all share info. The fact that you Paul know the original make of boot, should that not be shared too? You didn't make them and I doubt you're gonna add cobbling as another of your talents. What are you gaining or giving to the community by keeping it to yourself? What happened to Trooper helping Troopers. There's no doubting your skills and eye for detail and you undoubtedly make the most accurate ANH armour out there but this lording over others is not necessary. I for one would also be interested in seeing the sculpting process of the TM armour from a Modelmakers point of view. I'm not saying or accusing anyone of recasting, that's not my point but has anyone actually seen the TM sculpt story? I would find it very interesting and if it's not for public eyes pm is fine. I just find it weird that everyone else that self sculpts anything in this hobby has to proove they have, but no one has questioned the TM armour. Sorry to go OT. I am quite happy to post progress of cast from original but you all know that we have the Oakley armour moulds.
  4. There are two hex key bolts in the holes. I'll have to measure mine on my Sterling when I'm back from work.
  5. Great tutorial on painting. That should help loads of unsure troopers. It's patience and care that's the key to getting a nice finish on the paint. Cheers Keith.
  6. It's the only way in my book.
  7. Thanks mate. I love the been kicking around for 30 odd years look.
  8. What T Tracks are you using? They weren't glued on the originals. All I did on mine was heat up the two ends and bend them over a desk edge to about 45 - 50 degree angle then just pressure fit them in the holes. They stay in fine. Provided you get the measurements right they should sit nice and flush.
  9. Just thought I would bump this for those newbies who hadn't seen it.
  10. I like it Billy.
  11. Ginos T Track is by far the most accurate available on the RPF. but it's also the most expensive at $ 100 a set. Saberfreak is the next most accurate at about $30 for enough for an E11. It's brown and needs painting but is very good. It's original door/drawer runner. You can see it on my Sterling E11 conversion. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=8560&st=0&unlockUserAgent=1
  12. Wow that turned out beaut mate!
  13. Great find. And a reasonable price. Where did you find it?
  14. So you won it? You nutter!
  15. Yeah, what Jessie said. The ears aren't too bad at all. If you are going for an accurate look I wouldn't worry too much about the finish. Alot of troopers make them look too perfect. Remember the originals were thrown together. They only had about two weeks to pull, assemble and paint 56 helmets for the production.
  16. Happy Birthday Bruv. Have a corker..........
  17. You lot are crazy! Why in earth are you bidding it up so much so early in the auction? There's still days left on it. All your doing is pushing the price higher and higher. :?:
  18. He he spread the CFO love man.......
  19. I keed, I keed..... I'm not bidding....
  20. Well if you both don't want it I take it.....
  21. I think they were more like 10 rounds. You can actually buy 10 round Sterling mags. I have one.
  22. I know someone with a mint un-issued M40 in it's original box but he wants $330 for it.
  23. Saying that if Verns got anything to do with it it will go for a sum.....
  24. I've seen these go for way over $100
