  1. Unfortunately Matts always recovering from an injury. I've lost count the amount of times I've heard that one. If he really is then all the best but I have my doubts. I've emailed him a few times now about the helmets that he still has not shipped of mine. No answer. I can't understand how it can take nearly two years to put together a couple of helmets? I can put one together in a couple of day, so two years is just taking the piss. Now I'm about to release my own armour and lids I doubt I'll ever see Mine from matt. One thing us for sure I'm not going to follow in the footsteps of Matt or take on his business practices. As far as I'm concerned my customer service will be second to none and no one will ever need to buy from Matt again. I once thought a bit of healthy competition and me dealing with Europe and Matt dealing with the States would be great. But Matts shot himself in the foot. I can't see many people ordering from him again. I certainly won't. It is a shame. He bought to the hobby great things but had to start ripping people off and just take their money and not deliver their goods. Matt if you read this do yourself a favour and get out what's owed. I'm done dealing with Matt, he just tells you what you want to hear then sits back and laughs at you While he is enjoying your hard earned cash. It's theft and nothing less. If you want great armour and lids with direct screen used lineage hold tight there will be another soon.
  2. Lovin it lovin it lovin it!!! I've started to put together a couple of the lids I kept back from the forming session. They are fun to build. I'll post some pics maybe on my own thread as not to hijack yours Dan.
  3. Wow is this where we share everything we have on troopers? I have gazillions of photos to post.
  4. Ha, I just checked out the photos in the first post.....cool helmets and what a find! I couldn't help but notice that ou had my banner in your album? I'm flattered.....
  5. Pete, That's outstanding! Your eye for detail is out of this world......Your are quite simply mad..... You've set a new level of accuracy and Pauls work making that suit accurate really stands out too.
  6. Fair enough but I think most of us are aware that we hold no legal rights to recast screen used props who's ever they are. However there are "rights" within the hobby community which do say that it is accepted to cast a screen used prop and offer accurate replicas to the community. To recast these offerings un not permitted. With out this unofficial rule recasters would be rife and you will have nothing but props without direct lineage to screen used.
  7. To say recasting is a pointless argument is just a poor excuse for an argument. I for one have payed a huge amount of money out for a set of moulds cast from an original screen used suit. If anyone goes and blatantly recasts it then you will have the wrath of me to deal with. You obviously have no problem with recasters and therefor will not be in line for any of the new helmets and armour never before offered to the community. Why as adults we can't discuss is beyond me. To even participate in the thread was pointless if you feel it needs removing? If you think the whole discussion is not worth being here then why join in? I personally don't see the point of people like you or lightside having a place n this community with views like this?
  8. I am beginning to think the same thing? Why are you here? All you've done is argue and say that we are breaking LFL rules! I suggest for someone that doesn't actually own a licensed replica you keep quite about these views, get to know us all better and generally join in in a team like manner. We are all one big happy White shiney family here with the same interests. You really aren't winning friends or influencing people here with you sour views. I know we are all entitled to our own views and opinions but you've chosen the wrong place to champion inaccurate licensed products and recasters. Sorry, has to be said. Chill out join in and above all learn and have fun.
  9. I wouldn't hold your breath. I've been waiting for my SFS lid since Nov 08! I did receive my armour only after about a year and a half and it took a little under a year to receive a JEDI helmet with a repaired split, drips and glue over the eyes etc etc. Although Matt said he would replace it, you've guessed it im still waiting. I payed over $400 for that piece of junk. My suit of armour had so much superglue sticking it together and I can't begin to tell you how much overspray all over the very poor paint job. All in all not the best transaction and purchase experience I've ever had. I think all together I've given TE over $2000 of my hard earned cash, for what? I've only ever spoken to Matt as I would any friend and given him the benefit of the doubt for every excuse I've had and believe me I've had them all. He still talks and answers my emails so I still have some hope I will receive my goods one day before I die. I know you are reading this Matt and I'm not trying to stir up trouble, just telling how it is. All you have to do is stop taking peoples money, get back on track and ship goods out. Simple. Good luck with getting your suit sometime.
  10. No worries and thanks. I sometimes forget I am speaking to people who's first language is not English.
  11. Interesting that you don't own any licensed products and that you have bought from known recasters which in my opinion are at the bottom of the run. FYI there will a European maker of accurate cast from original armorer very soon. ME.
  12. For someone that has only 13 posts here you have very strong views about what we should and shouldn't be wearing! Wether you agree or not is up to you. But this is the code of conduct amongst the replica community. If you don't agree then you can wear licensed products like rubies etc. If you want accurate armour and helmets then you have no choice but to buy screen replicas or unlicensed copies. I am only stating what is accepted in the community not what is law. None of us have z legal right to copy anything without license. Just out if interest can I ask what armour and lids you own? It would be very interesting for me to know this as you seem to take the stance that none of us should have anything but licensed products in our collections.
  13. Happy Birthday man :dancing-trooper: I that order
  14. If you gain access to a screen used suit or you sculpt your own or buy moulds from someone that has then you have within the community the right to cast that and sell copies. COC amongst the community.
  15. Hello mate, I'm fine, working hard casting moulds for the new TK armour release. I haven't sorted the calf out yet. But it doesn't seem such an issue now I have a set of moulds taken from a screen used suit of armour. I'll just Replace it with pone of my pieces.
  16. Jason, Who said you were Matt? In fact you look more like me! I'm good, how's you?
  17. Very nice! You can't beat the real thing.
  18. It's still in a box! I may get round to finishing it as it's piece of TK history but to be honest I've just bought the CO TK moulds and am releasing my own set of accurate armour with JoeR soon. So the need to finish this hasn't been so important. I plan on making ANH, ESB and ROTJ. We have a few never before released helmets and a suit of armour. I'm just working on the bucks for the former at the mo.
  19. The original helmets never matched the armour anyway as they were made from different plastics and the helmets were painted and the armor was not.
  20. The uneven finish is usually caused from overspray. the overspray drys before it hits the surface creating the dull finish. This is vurtually unavoidable from rattle cans. You will have a nice glossy shine with some areas showing a matt dusty surface. These guys have given you some sound advice. Let it dry completely for at least a week and if possible depending on how thick the layers of paint maybe two weeeks it's better tobe patient than balls it up and have to strip it all down and start again.
  21. I'd go on a doughnut diet! looks like you wearing it on your leg......
  22. Also apply very light coats and leave for ten to fifteen minutes before each coat.
  23. Very informative. Can I just add that you really shouldn't use Mr Sheen on your armor as it does contain amonia which will in time yellow AbS. Best to find a polish without this in it.
