  1. Reminds me of a Bee Gees song You can tell, by the way she walks, she got buns in her hair. I know you our going to try and sing it! Ah ah ah ah stayin alive , stayin alive. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Ha ha, that's what I did on my first batch of app photos, only discovered after I had loaded them up to photo bucket. My wife wasn't impressed , as she was taking the photos and has little to no tolerance for Star Wars. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Are we weird?

Agree with Arc, the Redback Garrison in Brisbane are waiting eagerly for his arrival. Lord Vader has prepared his finest, welcoming party and we are awaiting our dispatch orders. No doubt a few beers will be shared with Scott and some great stories. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  8. Yes I have though about the Camelbak idea, but the feeder tube is quite thick and I don't have the space in my neckseal to be comfortable. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Hi and Welcome to the FISD Are you 5' even or 5 something, also your weight will help us guide you in the right direction. As far as armour for the slimmer trooper goes, AP (Authentic Props) suits a 32" waist and can be made to fit a wider girth, but the arms and legs will suit up to 5"11. You can trim down your shins and thighs for shorter length. Some of the armours like AM are designed for the larger trooper in all dimensions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Well done. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. You can reduce them, I reduced mine, but I don't think you need to remove them, they also help to keep the pieces aligned and stop possible overlapping. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. You can build one more accurate than that one for less. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. I love my AP armour, and Mark is awesome to deal with, nuff said. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Looking good, and as The5thhorsemans images indicate, you have to flatten one side a little. If you are worried about over heating or bending the sniper plate itself, there is another way that a very wise man told me when I was doing mine (Gazmosis) heat the ridge of the shin and push it out to the sniper plate, as it will be hidden behind. It was a handy tip so I slightly bent both to meet half way. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I say embrace the inner nerd, we do good globally, 501st is an inspiration to many . The ones that really count are the countless thousands we help with everything we do in our costuming club, and the fact is , they certainly appreciate us. I feel your friends are just having some fun with you, and they truly don't understand the difference you can make to someone's life. We are united in this cause, and you have more friends than you know. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  19. The AP sniper plate is a difficult fit, you will have a gap in the middle and yes they do sit crooked so no stress . I used Zappa gap to glue mine on but first I clamped one side on and used a heat gun to bend the plate a little to get the ridges to line up better on the opposite side. Then Zappa gap one side and clamped it, hit it with zipp kicker. Left the clamp on to make sure, then zap pagan on the opposite side and held it tight together for a good minute, put a clamp on it and took the opposite clamp off to check the bond. The centre back on the sniper was touching the front cover strip so I hit the edge with Zappa gap and she is on there for good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Nice work, don't forget to paint the rivets. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Just run it across the cover strip and onto the two haves and it will hold the strip in place. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  22. I find that once you clamp a couple of strips of the non coloured painters tape stops the drift from occurring. Also known as masking tape, or you could use cella tape just no colour incase of glue and colour bleed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. I can't bend very far forward in mine either. I do think you will need to shorten the shins a little, as to the thighs well if your cod/ab plate is going to sit higher than it is in the photos, you may get a little more mobility but as it stands, think thighs need some off the top. At the end of the day you need to be comfortable as well as look good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
