  1. Pretty spiffy
  2. Sweet - another double header
  3. Thanks Gary! I couldn't have done it w/o the cracker jack staff who backed me. And props to everyone who contributed even in some small way to FISD. Our strength is as a community, after all. I hope to do you gents (and ladies) proud in 2010!
  4. Sweet Steve! Don't forget to update your profile info once you have your TKID, and also bother Billy about getting detachment member status. The det-only jacuzzi is a great perq, as are the Twi'lek wait staff.
  5. No worries - it's easy enough to do. It's pretty cool seeing more and more people putting rivets on the sides - this is really only a detail that's gotten popular in the last year. Heck, I don't have mine that way yet - hope I'm still EIB :-p
  6. Trap Family. Hitler. The place where my paternal ancestors came from. Salzburg. Vienna. Strauss. Ahnold. Several of the best cities in the world to live. And of course - the most famous Austrian : Mozart. Anyone with even a remote sense culture should associate Austria with some of the worlds greatest - and arguably the greatest - composers.
  7. That would be insulting a flower.
  8. That's not surprising Karin. The EIB was created and continues to be based on the information available. Each year there are new discoveries, so it's only natural that this occurs.
  9. It's lifetime. Actually we're full up, so I'd prefer we not collect funds for awhile.
  10. Great job! Good to see ATA in Stealth Trooper mode. Are you going to go for "Elite" in your TX? Silver eyes would rock.
  11. Found this over at the IOC. First good EU reference to the SE-14R I've seen Any others?
  12. In WA state while the rest of the country is cursing the weather, El Nino has been very kind to us. highs in the low 50s all week long. I'm not even wearing a jacket for short stints outside.
  13. It means we'd love to see a build thread
  14. It's a personal preference. Some dig it, others not so much. Personally I'm not too keen on them.
  15. Wow - a blast from the past - I should ping him to see if he'd mind us using this directly in the forum where it'd be searchable. You can mount it directly but depending on your setup the thigh and sniper plate may interfere, hence putting the buffer on there.
  16. It would work for now until ShevaCon. I'll take measurements of the box. You can post on MEPD for disks - I just posted there and will let you know of the response. Actually I'm surprised no one has done a run of these yet.
  17. Congrats to Billy (Haggis) & Brian (tkrestonva) for hitting their 1000th post. This is a good achievements on their parts - not many "me too" posts at all. Both have given quite a lot to this community in helping others out. mates Drinks on me tonight
  18. Of course : http://www.facebook.com/The501stLegion?ref=ts MEPD & IOC do as well.
  19. So far looks pretty normal to me.
  20. Part is how you trim/assemble too. Once in my garrison we lined up a few buckets : two TE2, and AP, and an RT. What was the "biggest" and "smallest" when the four of us tried them on? Yup, each of the TE2's. The ANHv2.5 is easily roomier though.
  21. I'm 6'0" and for awhile was at 190lbs and TE2 fit me fine. In fact, I had to *trim* the ab & kidney to make it work. The largest person to make TE work was CMANavy (not active much) was 6'4" 235lbs IIRC and shimmed TE enough to fit him and it looked good too. I've also seen FX on someone very small (e.g. 5'4" and barely over 110lbs). IMHO there are guidelines that we put out, but in the end any armor can pretty much be made to fit anyone. Unless you are lucky enough to fit something out of the box with no shim/trim (like I was with the old FX), you're going to work the kit regardless. I'll agree that RT is a good "big boy" armor though, but it's not like it's the only option.
  22. Yes, I believe this is the case. Actually you can use a white pauldron as it's allowed for both CRL & EIB, even though it's not video game canon - this is what was voted in and there was no negative comment on it at all. As for the weapon - if you look a BFG is *not* a requirement for this costume. You could in fact use a E-11 instead. Again, this may change in the future but we never got a single comment about that. We did get comments to allow more than what was seen in the video game. EDIT: if you wanted to be a slave to the video game reference then yes you'd need an orange pauldron and the Bazooka, but as was pointed out in the game you can pick up most any weapon so this is why there's so much flexibility on that requirement.
  23. And post pix! We all love pix
