  1. Nope. You could replace the U with some compatible material and give it a go though.
  2. Troops, I’d like to announce two staff changes for the 2010 term. The first is bittersweet, the second a hearty welcome. As we all know there are times when “life” needs to take priority. This is a hobby after all and it’s always a good idea to pull back and refocus on our lives when things get hectic. Most of us have been there at one point of time and to one extent or another so I know everyone will empathize. Mark (FireBladeJedi) has been a hero for this detachment on several levels – most visibly being a huge force of nature in getting canvas belts out to the masses and making it both accepted and cool to wear. Additionally he’s helped out new and existing folk time and again as Armor Chief, and even before that. Just look through his posts and it’s obvious he’s given to this community. However Mark has indicated he needs a much needed break. I hope you’ll all join me in extending out well wishes, and I thank Mark for serving as Detachment Armor Chief this past year. I’d also like to announce that Dan has agreed to join the FISD staff as Communications Officer. Dan is an EIB trooper and has extensive experience in doing newsletters and other editorial/writing work, and I think will be outstanding in this new role. Please join me in welcoming Dan to the team. With unquestioned loyalty, Daetrin TK-8020 FISD Detachment Leader -- end transmission
  3. For you guys in the UK if you haven't already gotten a copy of his book this is an excellent venue to do so. It's a great read, and I highly recommend it
  4. OK gents - gotcha covered. Blast doors are open and the maids are ready to take your order. Jared, we respect your tree dodging skills greatly and hope the call of full body armor gets ahold of you some day. Matt - I have to say you've been here long enough it surprised me you weren't already Legion approved.
  5. Congratulations Joey! Seems like just yesterday doesn't it? Can't wait to see who member #2 will be
  6. Nice one Pablo! That's much improved
  7. Just waiting on new images for some tutorials and we'll be set.
  8. Thanks for bringing this up - will give it a go today.
  9. Fixed! Confirmed in FF3.5.7 and IE8. However there is a bit of a mix in IE8 such that the search doesn't quite align. I'll wait for Aaron to take that one.
  10. Sorry guys - this is my bad. Let me play with the z-indexing and see if I can get it sorted. I can repro in FF3.5
  11. This is absolutely beautiful! I'm going to have to get myself adopted to the UKG so I can experience TM goodness firsthand
  12. I think you give Mike H. a true run for his money, and are constantly raising the bar for how good this costume can be.
  13. Sorry about that gents - it took us a few iterations to get to good place. It should never move again.
  14. My dreams have come true - superbly done, Aaron
  15. All props go to Aaron for creating the vision for this skin and executing it so brilliantly. For those who think in these terms, while the black skin was cool looking we noticed a marked drop in traffic once it was deployed. Looking at usage we get more traffic and board use with a lighter palette.
  16. All the credit goes to Aaron (Synaptyx). It's his design, his artwork, and his giving up sleep that gives us this beautiful new skin. Three cheers for Aaron! :salute:
  17. Hello everyone, if you haven't heard the First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment administration team has been re-elected and is already working to make 2010 another great year for stormtroopers. The command staff includes: Detachment Leader - Paul Hoeffer Executive Officer- Terrell Reber Provost Marshall - Brian Robinson Membership Liaison - Bill Haggis Webmaster - Aaron Fimister Armor Chief - Mark Gage Merchandising Team - Wyatt Stephens and Dave Mondo I'm also creating the position of Communications Officer (equivalent of a Public Relations Officer) to take on the creation of newsletters and helping keep people informed of all the goings on in the detachment. Some of the projects that will be released in the new few weeks include: New T-shirt run : Finally! The vote was long ago and it's getting off the ground after some delay in squaring away the artwork. Look for an interest thread in the new few days. Site Upgrades : we've moved to the latest version of Invision and are still tweaking the skin to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of ESB. This should wrap up in the next week. FISD Academy : This is our new content site that will include everything *but* the forums. You can view a sneak peak of the home page by following this link (http://www.whitearmor.net/Home.png). The finishing touches are being put in to place as we track down the last of the images we want to use and make final updates to ensure the CRL/EIB are up to date. Look for this to launch in March And after that? Well, the web team will take a much needed break but time stops for no trooper. Expect to see more merch ongoing such as trading cards and other goodies to separate you from your pay chit, and moving forward with a monthly newsletter. There's always something new in the world of trooping: whether it's new information on an old costume (like a new way of doing shins) or an entirely new one (like how to paint a Stormtrooper Commander), we're excited to have you on board for the journey. With unquestioned loyalty, Paul "Daetrin" TK-8020 This post has been promoted to an article

  19. Full size : http://www.whitearmor.net/Home.png How's that?
  20. Understood Michael. After a long conversation with the rest of the upgrade team the conclusion we reached was that the current default skin - Viper - is just not as stable as we'd hoped. It has a lot of IE issues and has been a tad buggy. To fix this we've uploaded a new skin that is very stable in both FF & IE and will be using that as a base. It's lighter color too You can find this at the bottom of the page on the left - choose "FISD 2010" from the drop down.
  21. Just wait to later this week - it's only going to get better from here on out.
  22. Awesome - worth watching for sure
  23. I just got a large wheeled rubber maid tub. Like this, but with wheels --------- You can find them cheap at Fred Meyer and the like.
