  1. i cant wrap my head around how this works? got any pics on the process?
  2. Sweet! I tried the legs out again and I feel that the thiegh needs to be really high up for me to bend my legs. And bending legs is essential for walking I will have to trim them some or make them sit tight on the cod piece. It's hard to put it all on by yourself and how do i pu on the other set of buttons on the ab? to i somehow remove the screwing part and just glue them on, or do i make holes trough the little plate i made and the ab itself?
  3. oh and what is recommended, having the "females" on the armor or on the straps?
  4. Hi! i got my armor back in feb 10` and have not yet put it together for varius reasons (mainly afraid of doing a bad job) and now the spark has returned and i want to finish the armor in time for a sci fi convention on dec. i need help with the following; the internal strapping system, were to cut what, etc etc, i will continue to use this thread as my asking and showing tool First question is about my snaps do i use all the parts or do i just glue the parts that fit only? pics As seen, Do i just glue them or should i drill al hole and attach them that way? i was wondering since then half of the buttons will have the rounded bottom and not be as easy to glue on my suit.
  5. oh and here are some pictures of me and some friend goofing around with the helmet It is the Helmet that is included with the full kit (FX with rounded top).
  6. So after a long wait for my glue ive finally started to glue the armor. Ive finished the biceps, forearms, and one shim. and of course the helmet. i still need to get some nylon straps for the ab parts and chest piece but i want to see if the tights are going to hold with the E6000. I am only going to glue the fronts of the pieces and Velcro the backs for easy wearing. here is a pic of some parts drying. ( its not my bed its the spare one in my computer room )
  7. well they dont sell E6000 in sweden. but i could order some from the internet..
  8. OMG i just want to cry! i think i have destroyed my tight pieces. i cut them to fit but when i "curl" to glue them on the other side the front snaps up. I think it is beacuse i only trimmed one of the pieces so now there is to much tention in the plastic. the glue i use is a super attack 2 component glue. would E6000 hold it? i am so close to throw it all out the window.. the back side that is not glued. the side thats "glued" you see the glue just wont hold it. i had "clames" on it and alot of glue over night. Help me stormtroopers 501 kenobi you are my only hope!!
  9. so here is another WIP shoot of the helmeet. It is the FX that comes in the full kit. i thinks it looks rather good and its good to practice befor i get another bucket (AP)
  10. I belive since the helmet has the "hero" teeth i am going to work around that. And how should i cut it? like on the picture or glue the "fronts together and trim the backside? I can make a little video of the helmet
  11. Hi fellow troopers i just got my AM armor and i think i am overwhelmed! i have removed the wrapping and checked out all the parts and i really dont know where to start! so i started on the helmet (FX with rounded dome) and it went pretty smooth altough i have some teeth painting and glue the dome in place. but when i look at the armor i dont know where to start! should i start with the shims? tights? etc.. i would like to wait with the shims so i can fit them when i wear my boots so the fit over them. so now i would like some tips in what order you all assembled your armor. i will get to borrow a dremmel tomorow so i can trimm the pieces that are to big etc.
  12. YES! looking good!! my armor set should be at m post office for me to pick up later today! and i hope it comes out like yours!! 2 thumbs up!
  13. Looks good! any pics when you are wearing all that is finished?
