  1. The lenses that I used were military dust goggles. I took the green lenses out and cut the military lenses to the same size. It's kind of ironic sing a military item for a movie military item. I hope this helps.
  2. Measure, tape, measure again. Cut, throw up. Then once you get past that first cut, your hooked! It will get easier as you go. Good luck bud.
  3. Panda, I love reading your build topics. I have been out of pocket "On Business" you might say and have not been able to finish my AM Kit. All I have left are the thighs, and wanted to see how you guys were working on the AM kit thighs. Thank you for posting you thread on here, it gives me some insight so to finish my kit. Cheers!
  4. Thanks, I noticed the same thing. The ab plate was pulled up too far with the suspenders when this was taken. I have since had it dropped down some. I need some help on the thighs. This AM Kit is made to over lab. Any ideas and pics would be helpful. Thanks for the advice.
  5. Here is a shot of the first test fit of an AM kit that I have been working on. This test fit is from the torso up. I would like to get some feedback on what you guys think. Thanks.
  6. Sifting through the muck and mire making sense out of madness.

Do you enjoy the hobby? Does it give you peace of mind when you are working on it like a large model airplane? Enjoy what you do, stand your ground and do not be afraid to be different. Unlike the one sheep that jumps off the cliff and the mindless others follow. As Ole' Obi-Wan Kenobi said, "Who is the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows?" Words to live by my friend. Just my 2 cents worth of a Galactic Credit.
  8. Here are some photos of where the straps will be after centering them to where it would work. They are not glued, only held in place by the clamps so to get an idea. My concern is where they hang off on the front. What do you think?
  9. Thanks guys, that's what I needed to know. I will glue the front and let the back ride. Just want to make sure this thing looks great.
  10. Just wanted to post some more pics showing my progress with the kit. I have worked on the chest plate, however I do have a question maybe you guys can help me with. Before I put the cover straps on the top, look at how long they are. My questions are, 1) Are the cover straps supposed to be that long? 2) Should I cut them to size or center them? I plan on using Velcro to attach them to the plate. I would appreciate any input you guys can give on the build. Here are some more pics. Had to trim the straps and drill holes. Rivets in place. Checking strap size. They look long. What do you think? Another strap view. Thanks again, Keith.........

  12. Congrats! I hope to have my AM kit done by next month. Thanks for the great pics, it gives me an idea what the AM kit should look like. I noticed that you had cut off the extra on the butt plate. I thought the same thing but wanted to see what someone else did. Great job on the kit brother!
