  1. Well, the regular pauldron was Thomas approved, so that will be fine as a minimum. If you do the custom pauldron I can't imagine why it won't be approved as it's more accurate to the game.
  2. Thomas (LMO) is the only one who can say for sure - as we've been reminded ad nauseum the dets don't set standards. But our recommendation is that yes, both are acceptable.
  3. I don't think we have any other than what was posted. You can trying sending a PM to either: Jonathan (ForlornHope) Lachlan (MouldMan) Walter (dorsk88) Two have ICN costumes, and Jonathan has been doing a lot with screen caps. We sure could use more.
  4. Congrats Ian! BTW, your ARC looks great Feel free to share pix
  5. Agreed - you look (set for ) stunning
  6. This is normally part of Billy (membership) and to some extent Brian (provost) area. That said, I believe *anyone* can start such a trend. No need to stand on ceremony or have a staff do it - create what you think will be fun
  7. FYI these are now sorted by page views, so the most viewed are at the top.
  8. OK'd it as part of the HWT, or for any TK?
  9. Matt - this is just criminal. Dude - we'll get you back in kit. I'm happy to hold an auction/raffle here on FISD and will offer up some key swag/stuff if you're OK with it as a start.
  10. I don't know why not. People do them all the time on sandtroopers which were only lightly weathered. So if it's OK for sandtroopers, why not HWT?
  11. That would be cool but I'm not sure how to implement w/o custom code. There are post icons that one can use, but topic icons are global and fall in to a few discrete categories, e.g. read, unread, read-only, etc. I think it's a cool idea - it could turn out to be pretty easy to do - I just have to look through the code (alas I'm a .Net guy, not a php guy).
  12. Not sure - that side gap recommends it be seamless there trooper ;-) * Looks really good there Darryl * a bit of an inside joke, so don't worry folks
  13. I guess it depends on what part of stormtroopers you are looking for. FISD is the place to go for 501st stormtroopers, however as we're very 501st-centric and have to abide by 501st rules, there is some territory we don't cover. For instance the RPF (Replica Prop Forums) focuses specifically on prop re-creation, so if you're in to that part of the hobby that's a good resource though they discuss many other types of props. There is another fantastic site that escapes me - TKsomethingsomethingsomething.com that focuses very much on building vac tables, making molds, etc. and those parts of armor making, but for instance don't talk about trooping or the 501st really at all. There are countless sites out there such as Tony Barnett's, Dean Plantamura's etc. but these are mostly static content sites with tutorials but no forums. I guess it would depend on what type of info you are interested in.
  14. Me too - with long legs I get this happening from time to time, esp. with TE2 shins (as opposed to RT/FX which never gave me the issue).
  15. Wow - one of the best tutorials ever. This is one for the record books! Amazing work, and thanks for sharing
  16. Actually that's the perfect distinction. Another is that in the model community if you copy it and then improve on what you copied, I do not believe they consider that recasting. Recasting is typically unaltered from the original, correct? I mean, in addition to being done w/o permission.
  17. There are people larger than you who've done TE(2), but I'd suggest AM or RT for your height really, and also that it's your first set. We have great looking stormtroopers at 6'6".
  18. And in addition, while I was in there I updated your membership and profile info. You should see the 501st only areas of the forum now. Congrats
  19. Which ones are you referring too? I ask in that most default images have been updated, but not all.
  20. Not called out in EIB. Personally I think you look fantastic! Let's see what Terrell says...
  21. I hope no one would get any flack for not going further. Legion approved is good enough to get you in and pretty darned good IMHO. Anything beyond that should be up to you.
  22. God this looks gorgeous! You should post a YouTube of it in action
  23. I'd say you can go two different versions of EIB. The 'cohorts' don't differentiate between ANH Stunt/Hero - they were one EIB that we split for ease of viewing though. I believe you'd have the most efficient way of doing three versions of the suit. If you wanted to take it up a notch, you'd also get the comlink & grappling hook so you can do either "Han" or "Luke" versions of the Hero. Sweet grab on the Stunt helmet. I'm down to just my Hero/ESB/Sandy now, and need to get a stunt again.
  24. About time ya bugger! Jim was one of the first 10 or so EIB in the detachment. His AP armor is *awesome* and was his first armor ever, and he's been a trooping fool since. Well, you deserve some time out of kit I guess. I can't wait to see the officer
