  1. A great way to validate a fit is to go outside and run around as if you were playing football. Adjust, do it again. Repeat as needed.
  2. Careful as a real prop may have faded over time, or due to lighting how they look on screen may not be the same. The other Paul (troopermaster) always suggests using the films as a reference, and I think that's good advice here.
  3. Uno! This is pretty interesting to watch.
  4. Keep us posted - always good to see a new set of armor come to life
  5. Still a nifty tip - I tried something similar once to no avail - I think I didn't have a long enough piece though. In the end I just used RT shins which fit me better.
  6. True Bill. ATA is not the most accurate (TM and RS are better in this regard), however of the TE derived suits he has the best price/quality point out there, esp. if you like the less sanatized look (the helmet has the bumpy cap/back). That said, ATA is always tweaking his molds, and getting more accurate with every year.
  7. Any suit will do you fine. I'm 6'0" and 180lbs and fit in to TE type armor (TE2, ATA). The only issue I have are the legs are a little short. TM will do you well too as it's only a bit bigger than TE type. RT could fit, but is usually best for taller or larger troopers really.
  8. Blue tape here as well. That, and having my wife to the fine details
  9. Agreed! The first of 2013 is a great first step!
  10. Also, best can be what your technical skills are or you want them to be. AM & RT armor come pre-trimmed and are the simplest to assemble. Some people like the sanatized look better too. There is also availability issues too - TM, RS, TE2 are all very hard to get ahold of. ATA has a long wait list as well...
  11. While we are not quite at 300 yet, we are very, very close. And, if you notice my post was made near the end of January, so yes one could find a loophole that says a year from my post, which I think is very achievable. Regardless of the date it actually happens, 300 is a huge achievement. Now think - if even 1/3 of EI then got someone else to EI - we could easily hit 400 by end of 2013
  12. Remember it's simply an achievement in costuming award. Nothing says you have to troop this way. You can always get a second pair of boots and troop 100% clean if you wish.
  13. Complete my new white TK. Sell the TKC. Get more parts so I can do ANH-S, ANH-H, ESB, and HWT any time I want. Trim clone forearms to fit. Get Centurion (you'd think I'd have it by now) Troop more Get FISD to 400 EI New merch for first 300 EI only
  14. If you really want to go after movie replication, ask TI pilots why they have blinkie chest boxes & compads
  15. Merry Christmas back atcha
  16. And a Merry Xmas to you too
  17. Very do-able! I'm pretty chuffed - hope Thomas will approve my concept after we hit it.
  18. My plan has always been for the first 300 EI ever.
  19. Only 10 left to go - I have a special founders merch idea for this milestone that I hope the DL will let me do...hehehehehehe
  20. No worries - we just don't discuss pricing on the open boards.
  21. Congrats - a proud moment indeed when a new garrison is formed.
  22. Nope, and hasn't for some while. There is always the chance he may make one last run - time will tell.
  23. Congrats Brian!!!
  24. John Danter used to sell them as well, but not sure if he is anymore?
