  1. Congrats Stefan on getting #300 EI. Shoot me your mailing address and I'll have a special something go out to you.
  2. If you can believe it - we grew 100 EI troopers in 12 months. I want to thank everyone who participated in this challenge - whether it was of their own build or for those who embodied our unofficial motto of "Troopers Helping Troopers" and in any way, shape, or form helped another Legion member become EI. It took ~5 years to get to 200 EI and only 12 months to get to 300. Poor Locitus needs more help if we keep this up If you think about it, if only 1/2 of EI helped another person go EI this year, we'll be at 450 by January 2014. Can you say 501 EI by the next Celebration? It sure is do-able. I salute you all - my brothers of the white armor
  3. Mine is the Pareto Principle - 80/20. Seems to apply everywhere, and I enjoy statistics, especially in enconometrics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pareto_principle
  4. In the early version of the CRL's we called them O2 canisters as the suits were supposed to be self-contained, so it made sense, and also they were referred to as such in all the Legion references at the time. However, the Visual Dic called them thermal detonators and Thomas Spanos - the LMO at the time - made us change all the CRL's to match this when he reviewed them. Personally I think O2 cylinders makes more sense - else why didn't anyone ever use one to fight off the Ewoks? Derek - love your explanation BTW!
  5. E6000 as Karin suggests is good. A little bluetack helps as well, I've found.
  6. Hi Paul - my intent was not to try to paint of bleak picture of you at all - just teasing Mathias. Mine was a very unique experience that was unfortunate is all, and you did your best to make right. My garrison-mate Brent sports your kit and has been 100% happy with the service and quality, and he's also the best looking TK in our group. My apologies if I've my remarks were off-base.
  7. My wait for TM was much, much longer than yours. Perhaps he likes you more
  8. It depends. If you really want TM, then you just wait what it takes. I've ordered stuff knowing it won't be done for 6 months. Heck, my officer took a year. It really depends on what you want. Also, there are other aspects. How cheap it is to get replacements? ATA is pretty cheap if you need a new butt plate for instance and turns those around fast. RT does replacements relatively quick but aren't really cheap. Plus, there is location. If I have a problem with an RS or TM suit, I'm pretty much stuck being here in the US compared to ATA or RT. People in the UK and EU seem OTOH seem to do better by TM or RS. So - no one right answer - everyone has to pick what is best for them.
  9. As long as you stick to the approved list, you should be fine. Note that TM, RS are also expensive and may have long wait times.
  10. Was hitting up the Legion website looking for the charter, 'cause hey everyone should read it at least once a year. If you look on the main page, you'll notice we're at 2474 TK's in the Legion. Won't be long until we hit #2500. Wonder who it will be?
  11. Dunno - pictures are fuzzy. Maybe you should send them to me so I can properly inspect them. j/k - these are very nice.
  12. I agree with Mark - go for accuracy. I'm 6'0" and would love to fit in this armor too, but would rather it be done right and not quite fit me than have it done incorrectly.
  13. How are his pulls? How do they compare to TE2, which was the reigning champion for quite some time.
  14. Inside of my forearms, always. Some of my TK's are better than others, but many times I used to look like a junkie when done with a long troop.
  15. Also, it's not entirely 100% perfect. On a 5'0" trooper a 2.5" belt looks different than on a 6'5" trooper. Just as at times we need to fudge the exact width for large officers (else it looks silly), I can imagine that we may have to make some exceptions for the very short or very tall trooper to make it look right. But yeah, for about 95% of troopers it's 2.5" for ROTJ TK's.
  16. IIRC the only trooper who ever had a blaster in their holster is Han in armor. I never holster mine anyway because as you say it's a PITA and also I never want to be defenseless.
  17. That pic should be stickied somewhere
  18. A sad day - my thoughts and prayers are with her family.
  19. Agreed - seems like it could work. You can also move them up closer to the bridge.
  20. hahahahahaha - good one
  21. There are also a lot of bad chiropractors out there - they're not really doctors like an MD is and have the highest rates of quackery of any medical profession. My back is not right after I had one bad chiro. OTOH, a good chiro also does accupressure and will really push you doing strengthening exercises.
  22. Wow, I don't feel so bad now with my twinged lower back (a bit like sciatica, but mellower). It's a dull intermediate pain, nowhere near what you have. Get better soon! And yes, I see my chiro once a month. Trying to get it to every 6 weeks...
  23. I presume you don't mean the real TE. TrooperExpert (Matt Guathier) was banned from pretty much every trooper forum for lying and poor business practices.
