  1. 1. Thighs look good to me - not sure what he means? 5. I used strategically placed foam on my butt piece and back plate to get it to look straight. Took about 4 tries to get it right. The back/kidney/butt should be nicely aligned, and you may have to space out the back plate a bit took to get it to look right. 7. You also need to obscure the underarmor(?) tag on the back of your neck.
  2. Beautiful! Wish it were mine. Rolf - you are AMAZING!!!!!
  3. Looking good - love seeing more Heros
  4. Coming along great - can't wait to see you suited up
  5. Just remember it's easy to trim off more. It's not so easy to add more. So, go careful. Also, you may want to finish off final trim until you have the suit more together to see how the parts really fit on your body.
  6. I love your attention to detail. The Incinerator is IMHO the best EU TK of them all and a well done one really stands out as exceptional. I can't wait to see how this ends up. You German Garrison folk have outstanding costumes!
  7. For EI the setup is fine, though as Vern says if you want you can pimp it out even more. If you're handy with tools, you can trim the chest and bells yourself, and give them a return edge with an iron (others have done this, I'm not that good at it). For snowie plates - I think both John Danter & TM make them - maybe others? I have two sets - an old one from TE2 and one from John Danter. I much prefer the latter. Agree with Vern - TrooperBay for decals all the way.
  8. Looks like you're almost ready. However to me it looks like your left thigh still needs some adjustment to fit right - seems it's not sitting on you correct. It's certainly rotating outboard. I think if you fix that, you won't have as much of an issue with the sniper plate. Can't wait to see your EI submission
  9. It's coming along really well - keep up the great work
  10. Shocking what you're up to...
  11. My buckets off to you. You've fully captured the spirit of the Legion & FISD, and do us proud. Shoot me a PM with your address - I have something for you.
  12. Wow - skewing higher than I thought. Just turned 45 this year.
  13. Looking good so far!
  14. I'm as lost and confused as you Eric. Who updated the CRL last is a good question.
  15. With the CRL we wanted to provide enough of a gap to reflect the fact that there were some small gaps seen on screen, but not make it so big as to be beyond what was seen on screen or really goes past the concept that the armor really covers nearly all of the body. Black gaps are pretty minimal when you look at ANH. So, we tried to strike a balance between no gaps vs. too much gap.
  16. Question: Do you wear the pack on top of your shoulder bridges? You don't need to wear shoulder bridges as they are covered by the pauldron. You can't see 'em, so why wear them? If you do wear the left one, the straps go under. Actually I put the straps under the shoulder bell->chest strap. BFG - I cradle it in my arms like the Orange pauldron dude as they walked onwards in Mos Eisley. Else you can put the butt stock down in front of you and rest your hands on the muzzle. Else, carry it over the pauldron, with the butt forward. For the shoulder pouch - you can either affix it to the pack strap or else use a little velcro on the chest place to help hold it in to place. Moving the head - if you have trouble moving your head, then perhaps a little more padding on top of your helmet to lift if up more. Or, use some more velcro to secure the pauldron closer to your chest & back plate. Usually it rides up and many sandy's have some velcro to hold it down.
  17. I'm really digging the trooper awards. Back when I started FISD it wasn't an issue getting people to troop in a TK, but these days it is more and more. In my garrison costumes seem to come and go in waves - everyone does TB's then everyone does clones, etc. Still, to me nothing is more pleasing to the eye that a squad of shiney white TKs, so I believe the time really has come for us to create a trooping award as you suggest. Of course, I need no excuse to get armored up - such a white armored slut am I
  18. Belated congrats!!
  19. Having a logo really helps cement things together. It's a great way to get people out and trooping in their TK's again!
  20. Red-eye with kids? That must have been your husband's decision - can't believe you'd be that crazy.
  21. Looking good - well done
  22. I wrote the original Centurion standards too when last I was DL, and I did not say anything about padding. It must have been added after I stopped being DL. Regardless, I'm not sure why it's there?
  23. The CRL's were created prior to 2011. I think I wrote the first ones in December 2008? They were not in any CRL that I created, at least, so it has to have been in the past year or so.
  24. Understood - just seems like a miss on the Centurion requirements for this costume though, as that's not consistent with the pattern we use.
  25. Wow - when did that get added? Usually the CRL's don't describe what is inside the costume, only the external look. I say this in that it seems to push out the shoulder bells overly much.
