  1. Congrats and welcome to the ranks
  2. Very cool
  3. LOL nice work
  4. There are quite a lot of NE bucket builds, have a look through some of the threads in the forum, the three piece set up is still relatively new from NE but there is a lot of info available .
  5. I use snaps that way if the elastic ever stretches its an easy swap out. Glue most swear by E6000, glues just about everything, material, abs and pvc, also can be pried from what it is glued too.
  6. Congrats and welcome to the ranks trooper
  7. You will have to either fill or heat and push out the extra teeth, I have done this to my ATA bucket and it has worked out great, build is here
  8. You can use various methods, wet and dry sandpaper, polish, paint thinner, thumb nail (just scrape) . If you do use the polish or thinners give the piece a good wash with warm soupy water before you repaint

  13. Even doing the overlap system you can still add cover strips, I have seen it done a few time and it takes a trained eye to notice it I don't think you will have any problems using a hero neck seal, most wouldn't know the difference. Looking forward to some photos
  14. We get nothing like this in Aus Awesome stuff
  15. I myself wouldn't bother changing anything, the buckets are out of alignment from the get go so a small difference either side really won't be a problem. A small gap between the faceplate and back will help circulate air
  16. Most look for threads that use the same armor, then look in the centurion section for recently approved threads of the same armor, find the members forum name then search for their thread. The problem is there is no one thread that is the best, over the years the CRL's change as some older threads become out dated with some build aspects. Unfortunately the searching for the right build and info is something that we all go through.
  17. My belt is 2 inch nylon, not heavy duty. Sorry forget we talk different over here, yes suspenders are the ones, I got rid of the clips on the ends and just loop the straps straight over the belt, no chance of them popping off . If you are making a belt just add a piece of stiff plastic into the design, that will help with sagging problems of the holster
  18. I haven't heard of anyone applying taps to their boots, but in armor while we work around we do clank quite a lot
  19. Nice, just be careful if you haven't used the paint before, it doesn't like going on thick it will wrinkle when drying, more light coats works better, even if you have to wait for a day for it to dry properly
  20. That is the spot, I held my lid together with magnets and claps and drilled straight through, you can also adjust the position of where the brow sits by slotting these holes slightly. None of the fit is final until you add the ears and they are tight. You can just make out the other holes for the ear screws but I just made the holes in the ears first, positioned them tightly onto the sides of the lid and drilled in that position, some like to just use the original holes. You can't go too wrong, putting these pieces together isn't as hard as some make it sound, good luck
