  1. Looking much nicer, good job, should just clean up the rank stripe, looks a little of on the front. The wait for things coming in the post is annoying, hopefully you get your abs soon
  2. Your fix looks great, most leave the little gap in the ends of their joins. Keep up the good work I am sure 2013 only inprove
  3. Thanks guys it's nice to give something back to this awesome forum, glad it was of help
  4. My kidney plate is about 20mm longer than my butt plate, which should mean I would have an even greater amount of padding needed, which I didn't. The ATA kidney plate will go on either way too and mine was not marked, I just put it the way the taper lined up with the abb piece, fitted the contours of the butt plate too.
  5. After a conversation about AP sniper plates this morning it seems like a common thing, you may be ok, have a look at the thread here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22593-tk-8453-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status/page__st__20#entry282897
  6. I used just a common grey spray paint, if you are lucky you can sometimes find the pipe in grey. Clips have a look at Vern's clips http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22546-ap-te-style-thermal-det-aluminum-clipsw-hardware/
  7. Did you trim the sides a bit, they do have a faint ridge showing where to trim
  8. With the use of the heat gun the snap plate is completely flush, no stud or tape protruding, also you can bend the snap plate for use on curved armor. In the end what ever works best for you.
  9. I had to do this with my ATA shin, just looked lop sided and I wasn't happy with it. But it's a personal thing not required for approval by the looks of it.
  10. Or use a heat gun http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/20893-how-to-recess-press-studs/ I didn't have any problems with the glue on the back of the snaps, just applied the glue around the snap so there was enough on the snap plate.
  11. Can see a lot of the shin, looks as if the sniper plate could have come up a bit on this side
  12. Just what ever works for you, do you want comfort or screen accuracy. I use snaps and elastic, has some give and easy to change if you ever stretch the elastic.
  13. Very nice, looks like there may be a new How To post coming up soon
  14. +1 also your shoulder straps look a litte lop sided in the back shot, are they held with strapping or elastic, should be elastic. Should have a clear view of your D ring. Sniper plate not quite following your shin but may be ok. Just need a couple of tweaks, good luck with approval
  15. Wow that's strange I'm 6 foot 67kg and wear 77 jeans and my ab and back plate just meet nicely, weird. I don't know how much you could pad them without the chest wanting to pop out. I had a bit of over hang, the back was slightly longer than the butt section.
  16. So many threads over the last few days with variations seen on screen, but at the end of the day there has to be a baseline for people to be approved by, in this case I agree the frown should have the tapered (pointy) ends, it just finishes off the look
  17. Some nice lines there, must have very steady hands. As Mathias has said spraying the tubes would look too good, brush strokes would be so much nicer
