  1. Hated the waiting for things to turn up in the mail, hopefully your holster will arrive soon. Look forward to seeing you approved
  2. E-6000 for me and clamps are your best options, can still remove the glue if needed
  3. I used 1 inch (25mm) aluminium very easy to work with, lots of threads in the forum on making them. Or Vern is making them at the moment in the for sale section. 7 1/2 inches for the pipe
  4. ATA's waiting list was 18 weeks could be longer now, I think from what I have seen the the TM and TE2 have a lot of fine detail to them
  5. The teeth are correct, you do have 8 openings cut out. I have an ata helmet and recived 6 screws, two go on the top side of the ears, one on the bottom of the ears. If you have any left over then you have spares LOL
  6. No problems happy to help, just looked from computer and I have nothing to add, think when you do the few adjustment you will be just about ready for application. Keep up the good work
  7. Omg that's amazing, I can't imagine what it would have been like to be there. Thanks for sharing the story and photo, all the best for the year ahead.
  8. Gentle goes lol, so bells would be nicer if you could get them a little closer to your straps, noticed one of your straps not sitting right in the back photo. Biceps look as if they could come down a bit. It is liked if you move your TD clips 1/8 inch away from end caps. Side abb shim on left side not very straight, just try to get it level, would look better. I would pull your thighs up a little more, would help your knees, rotate them a little if needed. So im being this on my phone, will have a better look on the computer tonight. Just need a few tweaks, apart from that you have done a nice job
  9. Hey I was going to do that lmao
  10. Bummer, not to worry there is an option, go and find a cheap toy gun (i have been picking them up for @ $6) and rip it apart. Most of the internals are pretty simple and you can even get a couple of hi-bright LEDs and really make it glow. I have used this method on 3 of my blaster builds (links bottom of signature). Good luck
  11. Seems to be a common thing with ATA with large forearms, mainly the right one. I found my left had an oval shape where the right was round, I heated the sides and applied pressure and managed to get the oval shape same as my left, this reduced the oversized look, may be worth a try. Forearms, biceps and bells are picked on alot, a few mods and amazing what the difference can make.
  12. Just because something has been seen on screen does not make it right or acceptable, depending on what level you are applying for some things are ok some have to be changed. I think this like many other small quirky things could only be answered by the DO. This is the sort of thing that would be needed in a check list for finer details when applying to the higher levels
  13. I agree with Phil, but with that said like a lot of screen differences there has to be a base level for applications to be compared with especially when you get to centurion level. Just because there is something seen on screen does not make it right or acceptable ie: tubestripes. It will be up to the DO for the final decision
  14. I will be encouraging new and existing troopers to hop onboard the eib train
  15. Wow I have not had that happen with any of my armor, only thing to do is contact the maker as said above before
  16. Looking good, just a bit of work with your thights and arms, bells should be closter at the top and need to rotate more to the front. Keep up the good work
  17. Wow a new year and off to work you go lol, you got a lot done. The rivet on your thigh ammo belt, think that may be the wrong type, bit hard to tell its a bit small in photo, you may want to check it, you need split rivets
  18. Looking cool, breaks up the white LOL
  19. 1- Is it better to paint the helmet or use decals? Depends how you are with a paint brush, if you have a steady hand I would paint 2- How do I know where to apply rivets and snaps? Also, how many do I need? There are plenty of build threads to show you, have a look at posts of Centruions. I purchased 2 packets of 100 and have a few left. 3- How do I get the armor to hold its self inplace on my legs an arms? Some of it is strapping, some foam, some just fits to body shape 4- If Doopydoo's is out of stock on E-11 blaster kits, where else can I look? Why not build your own, there are tutorials and templates 5- While building it, should I just go ahead an set myself up for EIB? Why not go straight for centurion, it is not that much more work from the start. Hope this has helped
  20. May squeeze one more in for the year but I don't think we will make the 300, good try though everyone
  21. Looking good, heat gun was my best friend throughout my build, especially with the sniper plate, would just not sit right so I clamped it where it shold sit and applied a little heat to take the stress out of the abs, worth a try. Just noticed one of your drop boxes back's doesnt seem to be sitting flush, I would try to fix that now before you get picked on later LOL
  22. Looking good, just a couple of things, I would try to bring your bells in a bit more at the top, too much black showing, back of your drop boxes could go in a bit futher, need to be flush, paint the rivets on your knee ammo pack and also your ab rivets, could just be me but your biceps seem a bit large, should have more of a gap between your holster and belt, you could do with a bottom strap on the right side of your ab seems to be open and your right thigh could do to come up and rotate a little. You may just scrape in, last EIB for 2012 or first EIB for 2013 LOL. Good luck with approval
