  1. Based on as in looks like, not has to be made from
  2. I must say I didn't find it too difficult, I scratch built both my DLT-19 and T21 mainly from pvc pipe and wood with plans found online. Really it depends how far you want to go with the costume, you can purchase ready made blasters if you can't build yourself.
  3. Couple of threads on ABS paste you may find helpful http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27755-abs-paste-problem/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23666-abs-paste-issue/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/20552-abs-plastic-paste/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/2041-howto-make-your-own-abs-repair-paste/
  4. Been wondering how many would notice PK Mini Mee
  5. Very nice, I went as Pumkintrooper PK85421
  6. TM (Troopermaster)
  7. Nice work as always
  8. Congrats and welcome
  9. Fibregalss comes as a mat which you cut, the resin is mixed with a hardener then applied to the mat. If you haven't used it before I would suggest using glue and ABS, fibreglass can be very messy. This will give a general idea of what it is http://www.wikihow.com/Fiberglass I purchase mine from an automotive paint supplier.
  10. When drilling though thin material I put a block of wood behind, seems to help. In areas too think that you know will crack, scuff with sandpaper and glue strips of ABS behind, or reinforce with fibreglass and resin.
  11. Thought I'd mix it up this Halloween, please welcome Pumpkintrooper
  12. Congrats and welcome trooper
  13. Helmet seems to be sitting very high, you have a large gap on the back of your neck Calves are not closed properly Belt too long Belt being pushed outwards on left side, a problem with the armor meeting properly? If a Stunt version holster should only have 2 rivets not 4 Belt boxes need to go further towards end of belt I would put some foam in your shin to keep your sniper plate held outwards, it will hit your thigh as it is
  14. Hello and welcome to the ranks
  15. I have a few costumes, I find suitcases the cheaper option, can fit a TK in one nicely if you pack just right, the FOTK takes a little more room so I use a suitcase and a carryon bag. For the buckets I use helmet bags but usually keep them on display while not trooping
  16. I like to add some abs and rivets to the elastic, easy to change if your elastic stretches, which it can do over time, but nothing wrong with gluing elastic straight to the ABS if you wish
  17. Testors do their own thinners and you are only using a small amount. Thinners by itself with melt ABS but in such a small quantity it hasn't been a problem for me
  18. Try this tutorial http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/tutorials/article/48-posting-images-in-threads-2015/
  19. I found using some paint thinner helps, sometimes the paint can be too thick and doesn't flow well and shows brush strokes, I applied 3 thin coats which seemed to do the job, left to dry between coats or it can wrinkle .
  20. The kids will love it, nice work
  21. I had a similar issue, I used E6000 glue and two pieces of abs behind the crack, I then sanded the crack a little to open it, filled that with ABS paste, waited two days and sanded then covered the whole area with bondo, sanded primed and painted, has not failed so far. I do try to be as careful as I can now to get my arms inside the openings, it's just one of those places which takes a lot of strain.
  22. I use E6000 and glue Velcro to both sides, foam and armor, find it is nice to be able to take them out and wash from time to time, can also adjust for comfort
  23. I use a loop of elastic from the top of the boots, runs up inside the shin and attaches at the top with snaps
  24. Marv is your man http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16395-t-track/
  25. I use flywire mesh, works well
