  1. This is a one of those things that I really look forward to each Christmas, handing out presents to younglings, but this year a couple of extra decorations. Let's see how long it takes before I get unwrapped Entry 4 - It's A WRAP
  2. I did see that but who's to say that it's not a repainted helmet, after all Scouts are seen in the Rebels series
  3. I managed to use some white silicon to fill the gap on some armor I helped assemble for a friend, filled the gap in the spacer well and hard to notice they had even been added, saves painting. No size limit on the side shims, just try to get them to follow the curve of the armor so they don't stand out.
  4. Noticed a couple of wrinkles in the back decals, you can add a little heat and push them out with your thumb. Coming along nicely.
  5. Pretty much underwhelmed for most of the movie, from the opening some of the changes, music, font, scroll, just didn't seem like a Star Wars movie, only the last 10 minutes saved it for me. As for the deaths it was always going to happen, most would have to go, no appearances in ANH. Glad I never looked into a Death Trooper build, can't understand a word they say LOL. How about scenes not seen in the movie which had been in the trailers, hate it when they do that. Did anyone spot a certain ship or hear some names over the speakers .
  6. Nice work so far
  7. Actually if you have a look from the other side it does have a sight it's just on an angle not directly on top As to a lot of the smaller details I'll have to wait and see as I don't trust the Hot Toys figures for fine detail. Looking forward to seeing some detailed screen grabs. With the additions it would definitely be classed as a Rogue One weapon, at least with the mods I've done it's just a case of removing a few screws and it's back to a standard version. It sure was fun trooping with it, a few got a kick out of the working light .
  8. One of there is here on FISD http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/36076-samurai-trooper-for-celebration/?hl=samurai
  9. With the amount of modification you would have to do I would suggest perhaps a pepakura paper build to start off with and build on it from there http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=122443 I have seen some other samurai's out there, have a search on google you may be able to track them down or find build threads
  10. As suggested on your other thread head to RPF (Replica Prop Forum) lots of helpful info there. Also have a look at some of these in regards to working with foam http://punishedprops.com/foamsmith-gallery/ http://www.schenz.com/fm_eva.html http://www.cosplaytutorial.com/list/armor.php
  11. Really depends how loose they are on you, they look better if they are sitting central on your legs, I used foam on both inner sides of the thighs just to stop them moving about.
  12. Screw holes are really as a guide more than anything, you could match up the sides by elongating the screw hole, looking from the front the left is a little low, or right is a little high, depends what look you are going for, the lower the brow the meaner they look . Could also file out the corners of the teeth, make them a little squarer. Nice work trooper
  13. I really hate the fact they have used EPVII costume pieces for a movie supposed to be pre ANH, much like the other costumes, how about some continuity Disney
  14. Congrats trooper and welcome aboard
  15. Similar design helmet to a gunner but these are known as a ground crew, could either be Imperial Gunner so I would gather they would go under the Imperial Officer Detachment
  16. Just bits and pieces I had on hand, I didn't take individual photos as I was in a hurry to make it, only started this morning at 5am and finished it by 8am. Outside casing is a scope from an old plastic toy blaster, side adjuster from an old broken router, end cap is the top from a bottle, piece of tube for the centre, fitted a penlight torch in the front, modified the battery compartment so it would fit inside, added a switch on to the rear cap and made a mount.
  17. RWA is a maker of armor
  18. I just used yellow mattress foam for padding my thighs, worked well
  19. Looks like the armor took a hiding, crack in the belt and weird join on the belt box
  20. Looks like some troopers have a strap on their left thigh/belt for carrying their blaster?, can see on two of the troopers in this photo. ------------
  21. E6000 has worked well on foam I have used before
  22. Hand built this DLT-19 from scratch while waiting for my first set of armor to arrive, seems so long ago, build here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/21614-dlt-19-build-still-waiting-and/page-1 Couple of upgrades for a Rogue One appearance, carry strap, scratch built working light and an external amp jack to run to the Aker amp, got to be loud, those cinemas get noisy http://www.hidefninja.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/star-wars-rogue-one-stormtrooper-jedha-patrol-sixth-scale-hot-toys-902849-08.jpg Upgrades added
