  1. Have a look a the 501st CRL's (costume reference library) these are the basics of each costume, found here http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRL For Stormtroopers here http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:FISD_CRL Sandtroopers here http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:MEPD_CRL As to who makes them have a read through the Getting Started Section http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/
  2. Congrats and welcome aboard
  3. It looks like you have glued the plate behind. Normally you would use a piece next to the edge and glue a joining pieced behind, so there is no step.
  4. Great news, good luck with the build
  5. Here's a helpful thread to read http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34166-first-order-stormtrooper-resources/
  6. I use GooGone also, for the heavier residue car compound polish
  7. For fun maybe but not for 501st approval, have a look at the guidelines http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_anh_stunt
  8. No ATA only makes the ears, but if you are handy and used a heat gun before, you can modify the teeth as I have done here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23694-hero-bucket-build/
  9. A pencil worked for me
  10. Couple of threads that may be useful http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/23120-thermal-detonator/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/13893-rotj-thermal-detonator/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/15332-tkc-thermal-det/
  11. Hello and welcome, good luck with the research, lots to read in the Getting Started section
  12. Several makers have Hero helmets, TM, ATA (supplies ears only) and I believe AM may be doing them now. Hero ears only use 2 screws too, not 3 like Stunt versions. You can see the difference here: http://www.starwarshelmets.com/original-stormtrooper-comparisons.htm STUNT Hero
  13. Did mine 16mm arms, 19mm shins and 25mm legs, buts whats a mm or two between friends. You can size up if needed, most try to keep standard sizing on the fronts and size up on the rear.
  14. Great read, but I'm still not sure if it was better than EPVII, but then I could be biased .
  15. Congrats trooper and welcome to the ranks
  16. Cheers and congrats Preston
  17. Use a polish or cutting compound.
  18. Looking forward to the build, good luck
  19. I printed some on to gloss sticker then coated with clear spray paint to seal, worked well
  20. I use a compression shirt and pants find them very good in both cold and hot weather, I only wear a balaclava for my FOTK but that is very thin material and I hardly notice the difference
  21. Well I pretty much ticked that list so I'll just say have a great year Joseph and to one and all. Due to a year of on and off again illness my hopeful trip to celebration this year has had to be postponed, hope anyone attending has a great time and take a few pics for those of us that can't be there.
  22. Awesome news, thank you very much Joseph for putting on this competition and thanks to everyone that took part. I'm one happy trooper
  23. Looking forward to seeing it finished
  24. She just didn't like our blasters
