It is a pain with the color difference, ABS paste can leave some pitting, I've only shimmed a couple of commission builds but I have managed to fill the pitting with bondo (auto filler) and then prime and color match by eye, bit of trial and error but makes it easy when you have air brush and can mix the paint yourself, manage to fade the paint out around the curve so it's not as noticeable and then polish. Hopefully the auto paint shop will be able to color match for you.

ANOVOS TK in progress
gmrhodes13 replied to Hesikaya's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Here's a great recent thread from @justjoseph63 on return edges which may be of help -
Great news, I pointed out a few things to Helotech and he really took to the feedback and within no time was approved and then applying for EIB. There is a bit of work but nothing that can't be achieved, yell out if you get stuck. Good luck.

Panzer's ANH TK Build Thread
gmrhodes13 replied to Panzer's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Looks good, see how you go with movement, having the gloves in the front can keep the forearm central on the arm too so can make a difference -
Great work Joseph, I'll be adding this to my "check this thread out" list

Have you tried reaching out to the UKG https://www.ukgarrison.co.uk/ once you sign up to their forum you should be able to find folk close to you. Also if you could post some images it would help. Imgur a free online photo host is what a lot of us use.

Hello and welcome to the ranks trooper
-
A combination of files will be needed, the flat ones will help keep the sides/top/bottoms a little straighter. You can also fold sandpaper over itself a few times which makes it stronger and use that to remove any sharp excess. ATA TD is the smallest out of all makers and it's a weird size, actually not made here locally and I found some old stock at salvage yard, you may have better luck at your end, as suggested make sure you take your end caps, you may find you will still have to sand the pipe so the caps go on easily

Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks

Photos will definitely help. There are a lot of build threads which show how to trim to body size, wouldn't hurt to have a look through some of them. There have been a couple of SDS builds in the pre approval forum too which have discussed what needs to be upgraded from a standard SDS kit to meet requirements so perhaps have a look there, just look for SDS in the heading of the threads

TK -16790 requesting ESB Centurion status [AFP] [450]
gmrhodes13 replied to Tivy's topic in Request Centurion Status
Nice work trooper: You could drop your TD a bit so it's central to the belt You may also want to apply a little heat to your right calf as it appears open a little. Just check the dimensions of your TD appears a little narrow between cover plate and caps You have quite a bit of extra area moved from the teeth at the top in the middle, perhaps some abs paste behind will help reduce this You may also want to bring your brow trim up a little, hero versions had the lower brow look. A few teaks and you'll look great. Good luck with approval -
Mar2D2 ANH TK Stunt Stormtrooper RS kit build thread WIP
gmrhodes13 replied to Mar2D2's topic in ANH Build Threads
Nice work, looks great -
Definitely any additional strengthening to the yoke is a great idea, they do take a lot of strain getting arms in and out and flex a lot, if they are now that thin they will be even more susceptible to cracking, good call.

Hello and welcome aboard, what area are you from? You could also reach out to your local garrison, you can find a list of them here https://www.501st.com/members/displayUnits.php

Definitely want to get into the corners, reference material:

Nice work a couple of things you could address before one of the DO's gets here. You have your pauldron on the wrong side in a lot of your images, there is nothing in the CRL in regards to the pauldron emblem, you may need to supply some reference material with you matching that particular trooper, here's one I have handy Animated style pauldrons are also a little different that the ANH style and are really should not be puffy, although it may be ok for EI it won't pas centurion. Pauldrons are a lot larger too and almost cover the entire chest Appears your ab button/plates may need to come down more as some of them and top detail can't be seen. Also shoulder bells should come up more and inwards at the top, if you compare with image below they sit higher than the shoulder straps Your shins aren't close at the back Greaves close in the back across the seam that lines up with the thigh seam via velcro or snaps. Greaves may utilize a white cover strip over the rear seam. Shins are at a different height. Animated trooper has quite a large gap between the thighs and cod section, also TD is central to the belt (height wise) Sides of ab/kidney are a little cleaner you may want to blend in the joins, mainly the belt and try to match the coloring . Drop boxes align more to the centre of the sides Trap stickers appear a little large. You will also need to post up close up images of the sides and back of helmet. A few teaks and I'm sure you'll get there. You could also edit your title Create a post with the title format: "TK-XXXX Requesting [ANH|ESB|ROTJ|REBELS|etc] EIB Status" Good luck

TK16003 Requesting ANH Centurion Status [452]
gmrhodes13 replied to Denis09's topic in Request Centurion Status
Nice work, you may just want to check your end cap widths and cover plate width, looks a tad long. I would also just round the corners on the TD brackets as they may catch when attaching them behind the belt You may want to tidy up the vocoder a little, one side is lower than the other Good luck with approval -
Images would definitely help, you could also do some ground work and have a look through others build threads as to how they positioned their armor
