  1. Some have used automotive decal sheet and cut to size as needed, once you work out sizes you can reverse print on the backing of the decal sheet then cut around, most decal sheets will fit in a standard printer. You could also try to find someone local with a decal cutter, we are lucky to have someone in the garrison which makes life a little easier for custom decals
  2. Well said Chris and I would advise anyone if they are aware of recasted armor and have proof/examples to forward that to the CS, hopefully more can be done, it's not up to CS to go through every build thread and application to make sure that each set of armor is from a vetted seller list, recasted or even 501st approvable, but we are here to help.
  3. Have a read through the Getting Started Section, you'll find a thread on vetted sellers
  4. This thread may be of help https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/37909-torx-screwswhich-type/?tab=comments#comment-505782
  5. Leaps and bounds, looking great, "stay on target"
  6. Nothing better than lights and sound the public love it, locally we add an amp jack to the blaster so you can run a cable up your arm and to the amp, we can be heard in a busy convention There are many options, some go the full hog and purchase expensive kits but as you have shown they can be very expensive, many of us take the cheaper route, find a children's toy gun which sounds similar, gut it and modify to fit. Adding a few lights to an on/off switch or direct to the trigger is not that hard, perhaps have a chat to members in your local garrison, there's usually a few that have great electronics experience.
  7. If you are an approved 501st member you have been issued with a TKID, you pick 5 variants of numbers when you first apply to become a member, the first number is issued to you when your first costume is approved. If you are not an approved member have a read through this https://www.501st.com/members/join_form.php If you are an approved member and want to find your profile link to join detachments you can go to the 501st forum, on the side menu their is a search function for TKID, type it in and search and your profile will be shown https://www.501st.com/forum/index.php
  8. Off to a great start, looking forward to seeing your progress, good luck
  9. Posting up a build thread will get you a lot of feedback, some great threads around with those that have added shims, here's one on how to add ABS paste to the seams https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42866-how-to-make-abs-paste/
  10. That's great if they where sticking to supply TFA armor like the pre orders should have been but switching to TLJ it just doesn't cut it. Perhaps Anovos should take away something we often tell people here "research is the key" Already seeing quite a few people adding in filler sections to those areas so not really a hard problem to fix, just more work on their "already to wear does not need painting armor".
  11. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the ranks, what a great day to become approved, was my birthday lol
  12. Must have had one eyed closed when they redesigned that section. Pretty big difference from a slight angle to a dog leg cut. Appears a lot shorter, could be for movement
  13. Hello and welcome, at times you may find a member selling their costume but it does not happen too often, you can also purchase ready to wear armor from a couple of suppliers but you may need to tweak to your size. Keep your eyes on the sales sections, also have a read through the Getting Started section, lots of great helpful info there. Good luck with the journey
  14. Promise the world and supply nothing, it's sad to see this happening again, thanks for the heads up.
  15. Great start, looking forward to seeing those BBB photos and build progress, good luck
  16. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the EI ranks
  17. Nice start looking forward to seeing the progress, good luck
  18. I know but perhaps they could take the time to NOT send it out to people already on a wait list for products well overdue, they should know who are purchasers and who are just on an interest list, this also happened for the FOTK armor
  19. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the Centurion ranks
  20. Great to have seen this on a big screen in an empty hall, AMAZING
  21. Congratulations trooper and welcome to the EI ranks
  22. All the time to do things but not the energy, that sucks
  23. Received that too, I still can't believe they have the gall to continue offering products to those people who have yet to be supplied outstanding orders, bit of a slap in the face and not helping with what little image they have left.
