Bishop's 850 Armor Works FOTK Build
gmrhodes13 replied to bishopdonmiguel's topic in TFA Build Threads
Great to see your build underway. Hand plate oval, doesn't specify sticker or recess in the CRL : The black oval detail is aligned with the index finger of each hand. NOTE: the CRL's are undergoing some updates, here is a copy of handplate updates The black oval detail The recessed oval detail is aligned with the index finger of each hand. A black decal or paint may be used to emulate the recessed oval detail. Here is a reference of the recess: There is/was someone selling resin handplates, unfortunately not advertised on the forums (Dantooine Props) -
Just compare the gaps between the end caps and central plate, looks a bit small

Thigh mounted blaster still relevant

You can only add so many attachments, most of us use an online image host and add the direct links to images. It's the angles of the stripes at the front, they should fall from top to bottom RS helmet front \\\\\\\\\\\\ back Your images front ////////// back
-
Here are a few comparison images, looks as if it may have been a kit which someone has put together themselves, ears are a little thick, large gap between them and helmet, also tube stripes fall at front is the wrong way should be front \\\\\\\\\\\\ back It does have the neck strap which is specific to RS helmets, you can find more images on their website https://www.rspropmasters.com/store/stormtrooper/stormtrooper-helmets/stormtrooper-anh-helmet/

Dado3d Requesting Pre Approval Review (ANOVOS)
gmrhodes13 replied to dado3d's topic in Request TK Pre-Approval
Nice work trooper, just a couple of things you could address. You have quite a large gap between your tops of thighs and ab/cod, you could probably drop your ab/cod plate a little to reduce that gap, your chest is covering the top of the smaller ab plate . Biceps could come down a little, just to reduce the gap at the elbows but not a big issue. Belt could come upwards so it sits just under the bottom ab plate button. Make sure your shins align with the thighs, at the moment they are rotated a little. Ideally tube stripes are a pencil width from the sides of the cheek Appears your shoulder straps are not secured fully at the front, looks like a gap in between. Also there should not be any rivets on the sniper knee plate sides. Can't quite make out your thigh belt rivets but they should be painted white You have some bunching on under suit in between the chest and arms. You could also trip a little more out of the lens areas A few tweaks and you'll look awesome. Good luck with approval -
TK 35811 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status (ATA) [948]
gmrhodes13 replied to echo327's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Cod rivet looks a little on the large side: Rivet on must be brass or silver in color, approximately 5/16" (8mm) in diameter and is not painted. -
TK 35811 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status (ATA) [948]
gmrhodes13 replied to echo327's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Nice work trooper, you may want to remove a little excess paint from the gum area: Frown is painted gray and does not leave the teeth area Screws on TD clips could be closer to the ends of the clips You may also want to check the length of your TD, the gap between the end caps and cover plate look a little narrow A few other images the DO's like to see: * Front and both sides of the knee sniper plate * Thigh ammo strip rivets outside and inside Good luck with approval -

Congratulations and welcome to the ranks trooper -
A great way to receive feedback is posting a build thread here on the forums, many won't go off site to follow builds. Good luck with the build, looking forward to seeing the progress.

I use a large tote for air transportation but found it's too big and bulky for most trooping, suitcase works great for general trooping with everything fitting inside each other and helmet in a separate bag.

Is shadow trooper armor just a painted TK armor?
gmrhodes13 replied to captDunn's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Shadow trooper falls under Spec Ops https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_shadow_stormtrooper You can find the CRL here https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TX_shadow_stormtrooper Yes you could paint white armor black BUT it would be some work and because it would be easily scratched would show white underneath so I wouldn't personally attempt it. Rogue one armor is different version of stormtrooper. R1 CRL here https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_rogue_one Plenty of build threads here on the forums of white stormtroopers that are of a shorter stance than many Plenty of makers supply black armor Each costume has their own detachment, here is the list of 501st CRL's (costume reference library) you may find of help https://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRLbyname -
Types of elastic for inner strapping
gmrhodes13 replied to Shinyarmour1's topic in Boots, Soft Parts, and other Accessories
Just a FYI if you use the thicker elastic and make the holes with a soldering iron you won't have to double over the elastic, the soldering iron melts the sides of the holes so the snaps won't pull though, very strong It also pays when double snapping to use a template for the position of the two snaps so they are the same on all the elastic pieces, helps if you make them the wrong size and need to use in a different area -
