  1. Nothing more exciting as a BBB on your doorstep For the TD I used some grey primer and coated with gloss clear, worked well as I had them handy. Anything similar to the grey (Humbrol No5) you use on your helmet would be fine. This thread will help with return edges: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48166-return-edges-101-ottk/

  3. A couple of references ----------
  4. Nice work, a couple of references for you
  5. It's all about the details, nice work
  6. Nice work there is some difference in the forearms from TFA to TLJ which you may want to address A couple of adjustments you could make: Butt plate is not level on the rear Also your belt appears to be higher on the rear, over the ab section

  8. Stormtrooper Helmets - Hero's and Stunts? The original contract was for the production of 50 Stormtrooper helmets. However, as soon as SDS began o produce them they he realised that the complex shape of their design (such as the male and female curves on the helmet rear) necessitated the use of a less than ideal kind of plastic, High Density Poly Ethylene. HDPE is a rubbery, flexible material now used to make things like milk cartons, which was better suited than ABS to handle the complex curves and undercuts. So the khaki-green HDPE helmets then had to be spray painted white after manufacture. However, because painted helmets don't look all that great under close scrutiny, Lucasfilm/Mollo requested that Ainsworth also produce six "close up" helmets when Stormtrooper were to be featured more prominently - such as when Luke and Han are disguised as Stormtroopers, although they can also be seen in numerous other shots as well. We refer to these six as the "Hero" Stormtrooper helmets as they were made to a higher specification. Instead they were vac-formed in a shiny white ABS plastic, with higher quality detailing including curved eye lenses. Hence in the screen-shot above the Hero is on the Left, with the Stunt on the Right. Note that the armor is the same, only the helmets varied. Three years later for The Empire Strikes Back, John Mollo and his team simply re-used the same Stormtrooper costumes and helmets that had previously been used in A New Hope. This was the simplest solution since only 12-14 were required - and it also saved them money on what was a strict budget since they only really needed a quick tidying up. For Return of the Jedi over 50 were needed so new armor and helmets were produced - cast from an original ANH set. You can read more about these different versions in the following sections below..... 9. Great work, bit hard to make out some of the details as the images are a little pixelated but looks like a nice job from what I can see, well done
  10. You may want to add a little foam or similar just under your shoulder where the bicep will touch, saves touching up the paint I also add foam to the ab and any other section which will rub. Nothing worse than an insect having too close a look at your paintwork
  11. Just wanted to check you are putting it on side ways then rotating straight?
  12. Many people miss the Gallery sections but it's a great resource when building
  13. I would remove a little of they paint as they do look a little large, notice the paint stops just short of the base of the buttons in the reference, may also help the look of your small ab plate.
  14. Nice work, it all adds up in the end.
  15. I modified mine, a strip of elastic with velcro on the ends

  17. Your arms must be like jelly
  18. Well we had one, then he became a DL
  19. I have added the images for the application. Some other images will still be needed: Close up of his Ab/kidney rivets Sniper plate front and both sides Thigh ammo strip rivets, both sides and insides (also paint white) Clearer left side helmet photo Blaster D ring Detonator front panel Right side ab plate "Han" snap Outside butt plate snaps
  20. Nice work, you have quite a bit of return left on your butt plate
  21. First Order Battle Groups now houses everything except 3D files for FOTK's check out the Armory section
  22. Nice work, just don't weather the grip or T track as they were plastic
