  1. Nice work, get's easier the second time, not as much research Some nice straight trim lines on those thighs
  2. Nice work trooper, good luck with approval Just watch your knee plate placement as they are facing inwards
  3. Definitely wear gloves, mask and safety glasses when cutting any resin, most has fibers added in and go everywhere when cutting, I remember I had an old Tshirt on once when I was cutting, forgot it was inside out (I was in a rush) went through the wash but next time I put it on was pretty scratchy, ended up going in the bin, was only an old one
  4. Most paint won't work on boots, a few use dye or specific leather paint, a couple of threads which may be of interest https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27114-dyeing-black-boots-white/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/45706-dyeing-boots/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/7059-just-dyed-my-boots/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30033-white-leather-dye/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/22625-how-to-dye-leather-shoes-black/ But if it's too hard you can purchase boots and gloves from Imperial Boots

  6. A fantastic guy, when I tracked him down through his old email address (which he told me he hardly uses and was just pure luck he checked it) and asked if he had a copy of the original artwork he not only gave me access to it but also all the artwork he made while on FISD, massive thanks once again Aaron @synaptyx truly a man of our motto "troopers helping troopers"
  7. Hello and welcome aboard
  8. I would suggest using screen references as display and visual dictionary aren't always correct. Thighs range in height/gaps, I'd probably wait until you have your drop boxes on too to see the whole look. Trooper on right has very little gap Quite a large gap on these two Another large gap
  9. Aim is getting better, we are almost there. And they say we can't hit anything, they obviously forgot about Leia, also Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru
  10. FYI you can only save images from the gallery once you open that section and use the thumb of the image DON'T increase the image, just right click the thumb and "save image as" then it should download. For some reason you can't save when they are enlarged .
  11. Thigh from the CRL: There are seams on the inside and outside of the thighs. But for L3: The inner seam should be overlapped. So the outside just needs to meet and have a seam and look like below. Normally the insides are not seen in basic approval photos BUT it will be noticed if you want to go to L3 You could achieved the overlap but it would be a bit of work, adding a piece of abs behind the back section of the thigh, then adding another to but up against the back, fill with abs paste (so you are really extending the thigh) then sand, that piece would then sit behind the front of the thigh, if that makes sense. It's a bit like shimming sides in an OTTK, like this A nice how too for adding shim to kidney, same principal as you could do to the thighs Doesn't appear to be much of a return edge if you check references so I wouldn't be that concerned But in case you do want to add a return edge, here is the how to
  12. Love BBB photos, looking good so far
  13. I think it is a little too much but try to even out the gap between the front and back, just push in some foam or scrunched newspaper to get a better idea of how they are sitting. There appears to be quite a lot of room in the back of this image Straps
  14. I find adding foam helps keep thighs straight. Here is reference of the side strapping, appears to be two straps in the this image, could even be a V Here's Jeff, appears he only has the one side
  15. Congratulations and welcome to the EI ranks trooper
