  1. Always glad to hear about more ForceCast fans. Slow weekend for me, just helping my wife work on her Padme.
  2. Looks good, the eyes will help like the others have said. That side by side picture confirms my melon will probably never fit into an AP
  3. If the face and back piece are too big, you would need to trim them down to fit to the cap. Or, funds permitting, you could look into a replacement from one of the more accurate makers.
  4. I'd say it's better if they are attached to the chest plate and the elastic straps are seperate.
  5. Looks great Stomper. Anyone looking to donate there old HFs to the "Troopers without guns" charity?
  6. Trial and error, and all the great info on here. It really helped me to do test fittings with tape.
  7. Dredging up an old thread here. There has been some discussion among our garrison about getting more elite troopers. The MRCE of course has come up. Is it a requirement for the elite to thin out the ears? Or is it more of a strong recommendation?
  8. Congratulaions, I'm betting that you hit 2 million in less time than it took to hit 1 million.
  9. I feel your pain, I have a big head and my FX is actually a reasonable fit. I'm currently redoing an MRCE and I can't wear my glasses in it. I haven't yet tried any of the other helmets, but I've been leaning towards RT for my next kit because I'm a bit larger than an English stuntman in 1977.
  10. Never would've thought of that, good advice there. Heat Guns are a bit scary, especially if you get ones that are labeled as to exactly how hot you are making things. I did get a little carried away with mine. I've got the wonkiest sniper plate you'll ever see, but it actually does help because it tends to pinch my knee pretty badly.
  11. .02 cents thrown in here. I did have to use the restroom at an event, and cutting the cod did help with how much armor I had to remove. Honestly, I don't recommend trying to use the restroom in armor, it's awkward to say the least
  12. It's worse than you can possibly imagine. 2 words sum it up very nicely... Wookiee Porn. Bad makeup, questionable sets, Bea Arthur and Harvey Korman singing, Carrie Fisher obviously very high on something or another. It is noteworthy because of the unused ANH Vader footage, the involvement of the whole ANH cast, Ralph McQuarrie designs, and a few others. To quote a teacher of mine the producers "snatched defeat from the jaws of success" I have it on DVD and have watched it several times. I highly recommend the Rifftrax commentary.
  13. They are from the Holiday Special. What you don't see is how the TK was holding the E-11 by the magazine.
  14. PM Sent
  15. Not the best of pics, but should give you an idea of what you are looking for.
  16. For armor costumes, the armor itself comes in a kit form and you then build it up to fit your body. When browsing the forums you'll see lots of acronyms (FX, TE2, AP, etc.) these are the armor makers. If you see something you like, send a PM for more info. We were all new at this once.
  17. "Lord Vader told me too"
  18. Congratulations!
  19. Good luck, maybe they can bandage up your hands to look like your handplates then you'd be safe when you suited up.
  20. Registered. Not sure how often I'll post but with this costuming thing going from hobby to full blown addiction, can't hurt.
  21. Ooooh.. comfy! CABoots are a good easy choice. I got mine fairly quick, but the service left a little to be desired. The smell isn't too bad, it just smells like rubber and glue. If you're like me and you keep them in your armor bin, everyone in the house will know whenever you are getting into that bin.
  22. I bought a helmet at Dick's Sporting Goods. I think it was a Wilson brand for $20, the helmet liner was adjustable in the original batting helmet. It had it's own framework inside, pulled it all out and installed very easily with some ind. velcro.
  23. Helmet looks great. Where was something like this months ago before I hit my MRCE with drills, dremels, and sand paper. Oh well, I need the practice. Did you say you were going to change out the tube stripes? If you are, it's really easy with a Magic Eraser, hot water and 5 minutes of light scrubbing.
  24. Batting helmet is what I have in my FX, and I'll be using it in my MRCE when it is ready. It's comfy, lots of pieces so it's adjustable for different melons, cheap and super easy to install.
  25. Does the counter on the blaster look a little low? I thought it was supposed to be closer, on level, to the scope.
