  1. fatfingers.com will search ebay for common type-o's. I haven't bought much off ebay. Best deal I can say is my Holiday Special DVD. $15 if memory serves. Came with DVD of the Special (commercials included!), Deleted Magic of ANH (which is incredible and worth finding), Troops on DVD (already had it, but it's still cool), and several episodes of Droids (..and you thought the Holiday Special was bad)
  2. Check the picture in this thread. ----------- You can see the edges of the belt fraying. To my untrained eyes, as well as my wife who has worked in a fabric store and has sewing experience, it looks like a canvas/duck cloth type material. Personally, I think a leather belt could look really good. If it makes you happy to have it, by all means go with the leather. Just my two cents.

    Weather?

Roanoke. I'm a lonely trooper out here by myself Are you coming out for Shevacon? It's in Roanoke. I've been trying to get as many people as possible out for it.

    Weather?

Been dealing with rain, temps around 40 F. So far no real snow this year.
  5. I don't think I ever noticed that the TK's don't have thermal det tubes.
  6. I have used the bathroom in armor. You're better off avoiding it, if possible. I have my cod piece cut, and it's velcro'ed on. To successfully use the bathroom, I had to take off my bucket (of course), 1 glove and hand plate, cod piece, and then deal with under armor (which to avoid graphic details does not have a fly). To make matters worse, I had to put my bucket on the bathroom floor. Isn't that what the thermal det tube is for?
  7. Make it something personal and from the heart. It's always better if it shows you've been paying attention and that you put some real thought into it. Been married almost 5 years, and together for over 10.
  8. I've got a huge rubbermaid tub as well. I could probably crawl into it in armor and have room to spare I wonder if we can find something like this on my side of the pond. I'm going to need a good setup for packing, possibly flying with later this year.
  9. The belt on that mannequin is definitely webbing. Are those the same kind of boots as seen in ROTJ? I can't tell from the screen caps above. It's hard to see the troopers feet. Would the Rubies suit above be denied acceptance if he had regular CA Boots?
  10. It's not nearly as scary as it all sounds. If you know how to solder (or know someone who does) it's all pretty simple.
  11. I've always wondered what the MEPD thought of the SE troops.
  12. Hijacking and bumping an older thread here about the ESB holster. Does the holster simply hang there? or is it attached to the belt (ie. rivets, snaps, etc.) from behind with the full loops hanging over?
  13. Looks great! Very mean looking. I've always liked the hero look, the low brow just adds a touch of menace to the face.
  14. Snaps and velcro. I've got a snap system like Stuka's on the front and velcro on the back to keep everything in line.
  15. Check out this thread for some great tips on how to rebuild a "recastastic" bucket, including the T-shirt trick. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?show...;hl=OMG+Rebuild
  16. I do love the "Fade to Bluegrass" Metallica Tribute album from Iron Horse, well worth checking out even if you're not a 'tallica fan.
  17. I'm not big on Country music nowadays. I only really like older country. Johnny Cash is, and will always be, The Man. Willie Nelson is pretty good. Mike Ness from Social Distortion put out a pair of solo albums that have a great rock-country-punk vibe to them.
  18. Get some rest, enjoy your meds, being lazy and stinky.
  19. I loved Transformers. Giant robots smashing stuff, what's not to love?! Plus, you've gotta love a movie that blows out the theaters subwoofer. Can't wait for #2. Of course, I also loved the 80's cartoon. Not sure about GI Joe though, could be really good, could be really bad.... Regardless I'll be there.
  20. In a perfect world your ab plate and kidney plate would meet and butt up against each other. Yeah, I don't live in a perfect world. I found a plastic posterboard at Staples that was a similar color and feel to the ABS. I riveted it to my kidney plate and use velcro to close it with my ab plate. Helps to keep my ab plate in place as well.
  21. Pretty much agree with all of these. I stopped counting my DVDs when I broke 400. Those value bins at Wal-Mart are evil I tell you! In addition to what's already been put up: Blues Brothers, Bond movies, Bourne movies, The Departed (Scorcese version), Die Hard movies, Lethal Weapon movies, Fletch, Harry Potter, View Askew/Kevin Smith movies, Quentin Tarantino films, Sin City, El Mariachi/Desperado trilogy, Indiana Jones, High Fidelity, Starship Troopers, Princess Bride..... The list just goes on and on and on...
  22. Don't forget a camera, we all love some pictures.
  23. There is a way to search if you are looking for a specific #. There is a publicly viewable list of #'s on the 501st main site.
  24. +1 Hilarious picture!
