  1. Send a PM to trooperstormy he seems to be the biggest CAP person on here.
  2. Rivets are not screen accurate.
  3. Sideshow Collectibles must know that we need quality visual references for this new trooper. They've got him slated as upcoming next in there 12 inch figure line ----------
  4. The picture I used for my Legion ID
  5. I had a similar experience at Home Depot when I was part shopping for a lightsaber. I had it half constructed and we took it in the store with us, but it was in my wife's purse. We pulled it out while checking parts for proper fit and look and I noticed an associate following us around the store, she was even at the register when we checked out. When we left, they asked us what was in the purse. We pulled it out, showed them, and said "a lightsaber" They walked back in and nothing happened after that, but I wont ever shop at Home Depot again. I tell people what I'm up to if they ask. A lot of people think it's cool.
  6. Looks pretty good to me. Only issues I would say is the aforementioned chest/ab area and some adjustments on the thighs. I need to do the same adjustments on my thighs too. Very funny and amusing video.
  7. I only have velcro on the back of my shins, for ease of putting on and taking off, and I have velcro on my forearms because the fit was a bit tight for my comfort. I was a little worried about taking on and off if sweat or heat caused my arms to swell a little.
  8. What have I been up to? Job hunting, spending too much time online, Xbox, Xbox, Xbox.
  9. I have my thighs glued on front and back. However at a recent event I did notice one of my garrison mates has the back of his thighs velcro'ed for ease of taking on and off. It really is what works best for you and what gives you the best fit and ease of taking on and off.
  10. I believe the actual screen used helmets did not have mesh on set. There was a thread on here somewhere that went into some discussion about it.
  11. The only issues I could see are in your mid section. It looks like your belt needs to come down just a bit, you are covering one of your buttons.
  12. Sitting is not that hard, it's all just in how badly do you want it. I did about 6 hours in my armor Halloween night. I even managed to ride in a car while in armor (mostly, had to lose the TD, belt and undo a few snaps)
  13. We are below $2.50, inching towards $2.30
  14. I don't believe you have to thin the ears, but it is recommended. You do have to fill in the gap on the frown too
  15. For speakers check out either Stomper or Supertrooper's threads in the For Sale section. Stomper sells mic tips with speakers installed, or you can get just the speakers from Supertrooper and build your own setup.
  16. I riveted the material to my kidney plate and use velcro to hold it to my ab plate. It helps with the nice snug feeling and keeps my ab plate in place.
  17. I'm looking to do either a Rex or just any Bucket for my Pumpkin. If anyone has one or some good pics that can be turned into a template, I'd appreciate it.
  18. You don't need a manual for FX, this site is better. The manual isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
  19. I couldn't get the glue and straps to sit right, so I cheated and just use velcro.
  20. Don't forget movie magic and editing. He may not have been wearing a full suit, if you can't see it in the frame, it might not have been there.
  21. I think a lot depends on the size of your head. I have a big head, so my padding will be fairly minimal, however if you have a smaller head, you may want to look into more padding.
  22. Check the "For Sale" area, there is a sticky about the FX Lite. I'm not sure about international shipping though. Drop Deckard a line, he should be able to let you know.
  23. SW.com had an audio commentary track you could download for ANH that I believe addressed this. The point was argued that even though Leia knew they were being tracked, the plans for the Death Star were so important that they had to go straight to the base. They had to get the plans analyzed and try to destroy the DS before any more planets could be destroyed or damage done. Makes sense to me at least.
  24. At least you got the belt. And, to stay on topic, had some sub-par Subway (which is pretty much normal for Subway)
  25. I'm going to have to admit that I'm not 100% certain what part you are talking about.
