  1. 1. You can solder them directly to the unit or you can merely splice them into the existing speaker wires. 2. Yes, the mic that came with it works decently enough. It gives pretty good sound with the mic sitting pretty much on my lip (a warning to anyone who wants to borrow the helmet ) and you can get a great static burst by just breathing on the mic. 3. Oops, sorry about that. The batteries are actually at the back of the helmet, tucked into the tube as best as I can get it to fit. I kept the original battery pack. Also, with it at the back of my helmet I was able to kind of balance out the weight distribution, so my helmet doesn't pull in any one direction. 4. Screwdriver set, don't leave home without one
  2. This is a Wal-Mart voice changer gutted ------- A not so good picture of the Wal-Mart unit in my FX bucket, should be able to fit into just about any bucket. Note that I have it hooked up to Stomper's hovi speakers in the helmet. --------
  3. You can try to find some white plastic signs at office supply stores.
  4. I just have to echo what everyone else has been saying here. I was made fun of in middle school and High School, never really fitting in. I tried to hide parts of myself to fit in with those around me. I have found that in the last few years after moving to the other side of the country, away from everything and everyone I ever knew that I only had myself, so I've really gotten quite selfish, in a good way. You do need to focus on yourself and make sure you are happy with you. You will never be truly happy with yourself, or in any kind of happy relationship, if you are not true to yourself. If you are feeling alone and that no one else thinks like you do. Just remember these facts.. Comic-Con attendance is over 125,000 every year, the last 3 SW Celebrations have had over 30,000 people in attendance and that's on 3 different continents. 501st and Rebel Legion membership is close to 6,000 worldwide.
  5. There are several good ideas here-------
  6. Do you have any distortion when looking out of them? I was thinking about putting bubble lenses in my MRCE. Also, is this the thicker acetate strip or the thinner more plastic-y style?
  7. Question here for all you MR mod-veterans. I'm working on the assembly and I'm cutting away the excess pieces around the ears, and I've noticed a gap where the face meets the back. Personally, I think the face would look better with everything sitting flush. The problem seems to be a tab on the back piece. I see two different ways to handle this, is it better to cut a notch in the face for the tab or just cut the tab off? This gap is what I'm trying to get rid of.
  8. Wow! So simple, but works perfectly and looks great. I know I never would've thought of that.
  9. Had Chick-Fil-A today, exciting stuff... I wonder what the cost would be to have In & Out ship a Double Double to VA?
  10. Thanks for the update Daetrin. We can wait for him to get better. Don't need him overworking himself.
  11. I would think so.----------
  12. Are there any bags that are NOT good for a ginormous FX bucket? I did a quick search and the one Daetrin recommends was easily found for about $13, however it looks a little small for my FX bobblehead.
  13. "You've taken your first step into a larger world" Sorry, somebody had to say it...
  14. Very informative and well done!
  15. I'd vote for Palpatine, at least we know he is evil going into the election. No surprises there.
  16. It's the PSP version if I recall
  17. I think Rubies molds may be pretty close to authentic, however it seems that the materials they are using, the pulls they are doing, and the construction are what are really and truly ruining this. Get Rubies to pull in ABS and I wonder how it would look.
  18. So far, the only part of the TK-Commander that I think would be up for debate is the ab buttons. Should they be all black, all blue, or the standard ANH/ESB configuration?
  19. Sorry to hear that, our thoughts are with you.
  20. PM Sent with contact info. I'm 6'-1" and it's pretty close if I'm bobble headed or not.
  21. Be careful in what you are using to remove the duct tape residue. Remember acetone will eat your plastic as well. Looks like you are off to a great start.
  22. Does giving it the return edge help with bad or unevenly cut areas too?
  23. Looks good! I'm really going to have to redo my thighs....
  24. There isn't a list of available numbers, but there is the list of existing #s. Ctrl-F is your friend on that site. The number is yours regardless of costume. So TK-ABCD is the same as TI-ABCD. Inactive #s are not available. Once you get the # it is yours for life.
  25. Anyone checked the graphic novel to see if these guys show up in it? It would be a lot easier to get screen caps if they had released a PC version of this game.
