Wow, What can I say but thank you so much for this. I’m incredibly proud to have reached this level of approval for my armour. I look forward to wearing it and representing the 501st UK Garrison at events. Thank you for all the advice from all that took part in this. Probably a prudent decision, but what's the worse that could happen?3 points

Cont'd from earlier tonight... I ordered some cheap helmet padding from amazon (meant for bicycle helmets, but all the comments were from other stormtroopers haha). I affixed them inside with velcro. It's a lot less bobbly and I can still see below me somewhat. ...I'm suiting up!! I'm so excited guys! This has turned out really well. I think I'm about ready to head over to Pre-Approvals. A few things I want to tackle: 1) My belt snaps are just barely unaligned. I'm going to add some velcro underneath the ab buttons to help keep it in place. 2) Shoulders are too far from chest plate. Will have to shorten strapping to bring it in closer like this image: 3) Add velcro to undersuit and neck seal? Mine seems too short in the back and easily comes loose. This is probably a consequence of the back sitting too low still. Any suggestions on what to do here? 4) Add a dabble of glue to the underside of the elastic bands holding the shoulder bridges on the back. Keep it from riding down to the white elastic.3 points

Hi everyone, Back to the subject. Thanks for your patience. Here are some new photos showing changes based on advice concerning my back/ kidney section joint sticking out and my helmet sitting too high. I have taken out all the padding in the top of the helmet and my head literally touches the inside of the plastic , can’t go any further. Hope it’s ok? Hand guard glued back on. Ordered my helmet today which will hopefully arrive soon so I can get building. Also managed to bag myself a deal on a Dremel so happy days. I hope you’re all prepared for my relentless amount of questions haha.2 points

Thank you for your submission, Erick, but since there have been no updates since 3/10/21 we will be moving your application to the "Inactive" area. If you should (hopefully) wish to continue, please feel free to get in touch with any member of the D.O. staff. We are here if you need any help or advice!2 points

Thanks for the tips. We will look at those suggestions for sure. I'll get James to take some other pictures of his forearm. I'm not sure there is much wiggle room as he needs to get his hand out atill, but it's possible it was just a funny angle. We'll investigate for sure. I did glue my biceps (I got to be the guinea pig for that one), but that's it. I'll post some pics tomorrow when I remove the clamps. Was crapping my pants doing that step. Hopefully it turns out ok. I think next time I will post more pictures of the butt joint before glueing (with the tape on the inside). We're going to slow down at this point. Will post when I can.2 points

The project that I have been working on has been chugging along - about to have an announcement in a couple of days so I thought that I'd create a landing zone for here. I'll start by gathering the production photos already posted around the net:1 point

Hey all. I've had a kit lying around for a while, and I've decided to make an Incinerator Trooper with it. I've already got the helmet nearly done, and I have the armor. The only problem is.... the armor is too small. Does anyone know where I can get a bigger chest piece, back plate, abdomen, and butt plate? Everything else should fit me fine but those specific pieces in my kit are way too small and need replacement. Thanks! -------1 point

All, I can't express how happy I am to see this section up and running. For those of you who have previously engaged in the conversation... welcome back. As many of you can attest, I'm typically long winded, but now's not the time for that. All I want to say is if you haven't had the opportunity to see how this conversation started and what it's become, please take a look at this thread: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/48305-new-anthology-tk-crl/ So, I'd like to get started, but I'm not sure if we need to create a Remnant CRL development thread, or if we can turn this one into it. Regardless, I look forward to getting going on this build and engaging with all of you in the new Anthology/ Remnant forum.1 point

Just added that detail and reapplied the tube stripe decals so they were correct. I talked to Dave a while ago, he doesn't do the ROTJ armor pieces that I lack. He only does the ANH/ESB. My armor is from Walt, but his is sized for someone way smaller, as is CFO's I believe.1 point

That's what we are here for, "troopers helping troopers" there's no such things as too many questions1 point

It's more a case of what is seen/used on set rather than the timeline, we would never have had R1 armor if designers stuck with specific armors for timelines, after all ANH followed directly on from R1 so should be exactly the same armor1 point

toothpaste will definitely work. I personally would hold off the specific paint colors (the red), until CRL is published, at least that is what I am doing. Just in case. The los looks great, my 850 kit is awaiting at home when I get back from vacation1 point

Mustard should work, you just won't get that minty fresh smell The only issue I think with mustard is it leaving a yellow residue so a bit harder to remove.1 point

I found using toothpaste in areas you want to look like chips and scratches works well, you can apply with toothpick, feathered brush or pretty much anything you want, one your top coat dries you can rub off the areas of paint with the toothpaste underneath with a slightly wet rag. Others also use liquid latex or Vaseline. Lots of how to's on YouTube1 point

As someone who had to take apart some of my already glued armour at later points during my build, I can only suggest using E6000 glue (if you aren't using that already). When it came to taking them apart it was fairly easy to do so and to clean everything up. Personally, using that glue saved me a lot of stress whilst glueing because it's very easy to fix mistakes. If you're nervous about glueing, that might be something to look into! Good luck on your build, this is looking amazing already!1 point
