  2. Just a quick overlay and although the two helmets aren't completely spot on it does appear the teeth are a little wide in height. Vocoder is a little off too if you compare the top width and also the second steps, they are a little low. But I must applaud you for giving this project another bash

  3. Good evening troopers. This has been a project I had been working on for a hot min. So much so I worked on it until about an hour before I deployed. Fast forward 7 months and I'm back and I'm ready to pick up where I left of. The pictures are a bit of everything up until the morning I left. From what I can tell. I still need my TD, weather my belt, lift/trim my left thigh so the sniper plate don't get caught under it. Oh and a blaster, trying to get a hyperfrim DLT-19 or a T-21. If any body as any leads on them let me know. This was my 2nd Anovos kit that I sorta frankensteined into the shocker. You can see evidence of my ROTK that also in the works. I had a really bad hair day the day I decided to do my first test fit. I still need to dirty up the deep crevasses

  4. Bought this off outerrimoutlet on etsy. Build quality looks good. Definitely going to need lots of sanding to get all the print lines removed. He did send a printable pdf for instructions and tips for putting it all together that is helpful. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

  8. Are the two lines next to the 14k the batteries? And the white lines switches? So when you switch the switch you apply current to the base and so the fan turns on? So seems okay ish. Not sure what the two potential dividers are doing for the 2.6v though. Could be that that’s the issue.

  9. Can't help with the circuit issues, but very impressed with your work. Takes helmet geek-ery to a whole new level. Now, if you could just implement a working HUD into the lenses that would be great!

  10. Running into the second set of fans shutting off after a few seconds - probably have a bad ground or a short; would love someone to critique my circuitry. https://www.falstad.com/circuit/circuitjs.html?ctz=CQAgjCAMB0l3BWcMBMcUHYMGZIA4UA2ATmIxAUgoqoQFMBaMMAKABcQM8AWEb7FCDxhCfAVHAgGMeBgTEEKNJELyEhPJGJRoCBCIyEwSjJDDZK24lQAmdAGYBDAK4AbNiwBuFYyEyDVUX8JKm5aEJ0EFm4wJEC-DEFhIMSQ3UkYWJ0smUEZJAhIFgB3EHjg+JjRIpi49T4RIUaqtILspEyO2DzYNqKOLl4UPDwmoJGJQtg4ZhQwYXVINHVuPEIevTBibG3sOTW8eVHSWwcXdxLOHj8JwZBsbGrLu-5BF80oS+T7yF4RqlwvCKpX+Pz+HyUQMu+kEkJ8sNSwLGfFWyJhnxBjXR2N8RW8CG4vAeokI+HujwiYWoVBpukupNG2GuDL4HyRBKJFPRwSKACcyqliVdOdU+KYWPyWasqO8aWK+fDFeiwnKwPAFcq4IqeeAVezfCq+FrDdgJUIIShwVQwITJuqzaCbVaykDdfAvh9CLx0V6MYrfdzLX7HbbSIInfcWABnMpkoWEQUUuVOVxRujR2OMikspmuqgptMsIA EDIT: i think i need to lower the resistance, not enough current to run both the fans and the touch breakout... it's in the microamps attempts to measure it cuts power.

  11. Hi Chris, Had some time to do some side by sides. Here’s my feedback. :-) Basis side by side; Brow line; Whilst the rubber trim plays a small part here, the actual “cap” has a slight rise when it passes the ear cap. The line runs from the back to the front, then takes a slight upward angle beyond the ear. Also, from your left side image, the line from the rear of the helmet doesn’t carry on to the brow - it seems to be offset. Ear caps: They appear to be quite a bit thicker than the originals. The grey rectangular part on the left ear appears to be at the wrong angle. (See bottom right image). Also note the screws/ear caps usually line up with the rear line of the trap. It looks like the rear “tube” is not quite as curved as the originals. Note the flow of the original tubes from front to back. The below difference might be purely down to the ear thickness and alignment. Hope that helps. :-)

  13. Hey all!! Just checking in for the first time as an official TK, having been approved late last evening!! My name is Joe, from the Imperial 80th Squad of the 501st Legion’s Central Garrison, and I’m very excited to now be a part of the FISD..! Like some, I decided to make becoming a member of the 501st Legion part of a silver lining to the year that was 2020… I’ve been very fortunate to have built and assembled together with a ton of help from family, friends, and forum members, a handful of approved costumes, the latest and very recent of which has been an original A New Hope Stormtrooper…!

  15. I met Dana, one of the founders, at Celebration in Los Angeles in 2015. Seemed a nice enough guy and they understood how to make accurate props and market them. What they didn't understand was manufacturing, and that is where all their problems came in. It's one thing to make a prototype that is perfect, but can you make a lot of them, and do so without losing money? Even in the fan community, there are very few people who make money, and only a select few who make enough for it to be a full time gig. And since they have so much of that market already covered there's not much left. Then too Disney wants their license fees, and everything has to be made to their specification. Want to change the number of rivets on the TK belt to make it more accurate? Sorry, no can do unless The Mouse approves the design change. I'm disappointed, but not surprised honestly. Again, good blokes but making a business out of replicas simply required more business savvy on the production side than they had.

  17. Perhaps they lost the licence for Star Trek and Ghostbusters too, would not surprise me at all. It really was only a matter of time, they've been cleaning out their remaining stocks at huge discounts just to get rid of them. It's just a shame they looked so promising at the start but with hiccups in production and not being forcoming and honest with communication and updates they really didn't do themselves any favours. Hopefully there will still be a positive outcome to the lawsuit, only time will tell.

  21. Shaggy6969, justjoseph's is right to link you to 501stsithlords.com forum. Look in the on-going sales thread for BrotherVader's converted Vader sabers (new led-insides w/ removable blade) [ HERE ]. He does a great job and I have one of his ANH conversions. What you'll need to know/decide is which Vader you're going for (pre-armor Vader, armored ROTS, R1, ANH, ESB, ROTJ) b/c that will determine which hilt you'll get Brother to convert. The hilts are 2005-2007 Master Replica (which was bought by Hasbro and now are called FX, then currently Black Series). They are about $375ish converted Sometimes you can find people selling the un-modified/un-converted/off-the-shelf Hasbro Blackseries Vader sabers (most of the time it's the ANH one) on Craig's List and ebay or similar for about $150-$250. That other saber you have there, the Anakin Attack Of TheClones (AOTC) silver-hooded saber that Anakin accidentally destroyed in the movie, is a much tougher one to get and $$$ If you're not looking for 501st approvable sabers, there are lots of 3D printed hilts you can get if you just want a hilt. If non-approval is the route you're going for, a cheaper alternative for a lit saber is to go with a "Hasbro Ulimate FX series" which is a cheaper version of the BlackSeries sabers. They are like $50ish new / $35ish used. They are much better than a Rubies. It all depends on what you wanna do with the saber and what you want it for. If it's for fun, or for serious fun, lol.

  22. Hi Zack! The only 2 items we can see are the light sabers, but in looking at your total it looks as if there are other items. If one of those is a set of Stormtrooper armor, can you provide a link? The reason I ask is that if you are interested in joining the 501st, anything made by Rubies is not accurate. Not even close. The helmets are not accepted at all, and the armor takes a LOT of work to meet standards. There are many vetted vendors (link here) who can provide a top-notch kit you if this is your goal. If you are asking about the light sabers, I would suggest checking out the Sith Lord Detachment (link here), but anything Stormtrooper related we are more than happy to help with. Just ask! (Especially before spending any money)!!

  27. Hello and welcome to the forum Many of us use an online fee image host for photos, upload then copy the "direct link" straight into your post, here is a tutorial. The images you have are from the visual dictionaries, various issues, well before Rogue One was ever envisioned, it's an artists impression of the inside of the helmet not true to screen accuracy, we have a member who created 3d files for those pieces. The blueprint is another artists impression so both could be very different. Here are a few other versions of that particular image. One from a members build The versions of vents cut out would only be for Rogue One, Mandalorian, Solo Stormtroopers, all others (RS included) use decals/stickers. You can add what ever you want (space permitted) inside the helmets, some use hearing assist, wifi/bluetooth mic, fans and so on as long as it doesn't change the outside appearance. If you head over to the RPF you will find a lot of "reveal" helmet versions there Here is another
