When I purchased my first costume in June 2016,Anovos didn't got TK for sale. So I had to choose shadow. Fortunately, it has the same structure as TK. And I waiting for my shadow for about two years.. Anyway, after a lot of waiting and delays, I finally finished my TK costume for my friend's wedding. I have to say that the dead line is an important reason to motivate people to move forward. Already forgot where I was in this picture...4 points

TK-70017, a Rogue One Stormtrooper, reporting in! My journey started back in February, when I met up with a trooper and he showed me his costumes and the forums. I was hooked! I ordered my fiberglass R1TK bucket from Jimmiroquai and started working on it in April. In June I ordered his armor and two-piece undersuit. I finished just in time for Halloween and was approved as the 14th R1TK!! Let's see some more R1TKs!! My build thread and lessons learned: - I selected Jim's flexible fiberglass because I liked the crisp lines and thickness. It sounds more substantial than ABS when the pieces knock together, in my opinion. - Lots of sanding, spreading putty, and more sanding... - I spray painted with Rustoleum, about 6 cans of primer, 5 of satin white (for the interior), and 15 cans of gloss white. - I had issues with gloss clear overcoats, so I didn't do it, but that might've protected it better from some chipping that has already happened. - I used E6000, and then CA glue (when that started peeling away) to attach the ammo boxes to the belt. I may have to rivet them in the future... - The Gallery is insanely helpful in finding reference images! - In the words of @gmrhodes13, "Measure twice cut once (or in this case, trial fit then trim)." No blaster yet, but I'm looking into a 3D printer and will make an E-11 one of my first projects... A huge thanks to @11b30b4 and @TheRascalKing for documenting their R1TK processes, but especially to @gmrhodes13 for the constant and reliable insight!1 point

One thing you may want to do while you "hurry up and wait" for BBB (big brown box) day to arrive is to start getting your soft goods ordered. Having your boots on hand when fitting the calf armor will help a lot, and the same goes for your under suit when sizing up the other pieces. Many (if not most) of us now order the 421 style type from Imperial Boots (link here). They make them in "waves" about once a month, and I believe the next round opens up on Jan. 8th. If you decide to go with them, I would suggest ordering a size up from what you normally wear as they tend to run a bit small. Before ordering the other soft parts, be sure to check with your armorer. Some include certain items and some do not. For the ones you do need, I have a link here that will help.1 point

Happy New Year's to you all!!! I apologize for the delay with updating. Took a week off and stopped to smell the roses. I've done the 45's on the ammo belt, in hopes to comply with the suggested fixes. I believe this is the final step on my road to reparations? Here are some pictures of the completed belt rebuild. As always, I appreciate the time and energy you contribute, towards my application! I look forward to seeing your feedback, and await any instructions I will need to follow in hopes of obtaining the Centurion rank. Thank You!!!1 point

I managed to recover the tk files after my hard drive died. Pretty happy with how they came out. They're available for sale if anyone wants to print a set themselves. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk1 point

20,000 Posts! I would like to aknowledge one of our most active Detachment and staff member ever, on his incredible 20,000 post journey here on FISD Glen Rhodes gmrhodes13, (TK 85421). Not only does he offer solid and valuable advise to the greater membership across the many thousands of forum posts and threads on a daily basis, this year he has stepped up and assisted other staff and myself with multiple tasks like the forum headers and the what sometimes seems to be the insurmountable, forum clean up, and Photobucket post revitalization project. (what a mouthful) All this he has done without hesitation, and lets also not forget the truly wonderful job he does with our monthly news letter. He is here, he is there, he is everywhere!!! Thank you Glen, you are a true asset to our detachment and command team and I thank you for your support.1 point

During the pandemic pretty much all my interactions with individuals other than family members or coworkers has been here on FISD. Granted, having a baby had pretty much kept me from social gatherings outside of home or work for the past 16 months anyway, but at this point the only "friends" I interact with are the amazing Troopers on here. I look forward to the day when I can meet some of you fine folks in person, hopefully as a Legion member myself.1 point

I took the plunge head first and am starting my AM 4.5 Stunt build so I can be up and running prior to Halloween for its debut and who knows where else. For now, I am fulfilling a dream I have had for many years. Thus far as I do not have any pics to provide as of yet- Armor- I purchased the AM 4.5 armor kit from davesdarksidedepot. I am 6'4 and he will be customizing the armor for me. I would love to build it myself but I lack the tools and time to pull it off. I will however be tackling the bucket myself so he is sending that to me separately. Thus far I have purchased a UKSWRATH Stormtrooper speaker system for the helmet UKSWRATH 2 FAN Set Padding for helmet Testors Paint Darman Neck Seal Still need: Bodysuit Boots Balaclava Gun (Plan on getting a Praetorian E11) I plan on plasti-dipping or painting inside of helmet. I know there are a few bobs and bits I will need to get but I will try to document the process as I go. Trying to get this going as soon as possible to allow it to all come together before Halloween. I posted this elsewhere, but I have a young nephew who loves "Chootroopers" as he calls them. I am going to surprise him as a full on stormtrooper this year. And this will be the only Halloween costume I will ever need again! Unless of course I become a bearded Han Solo!1 point
