We are currently working diligently on # 1000, folks! Because this is a group effort among the entire D.O. staff, the fact that we are in different time zones and have odd schedules it may cause it to take a tiny bit longer than normal. Thanks for bearing with us! We also have a few surprises up our sleeves forearm pieces...7 points

The best way to store armor is not in a bin, but on a mannequin. So today I built Cameron a PVC mannequin so he can admire his armor even though he can't troop in it (for now). Took less than 30 minutes to build it, and cost less than $20 for materials. The mannequin torso is a little longer than Cameron's torso (the chest sits higher on the mannequin than on Cameron), but it still works to hold the armor pretty well. Looking forward to getting pics of Cameron in his kit soon! And it's very clear to me now that this build is DONE. Thanks for the help, support, encouragement, and for coming along for the ride!5 points

Thank you!!! I've learned a lot during this build. Lots of work for sure, but totally worth it. Thanks! Yeah, but at least I can reprint individual parts as he grows. And then when he outgrows all the parts, I can sell his old kit, and he'll still have a kit of his own. (College fund!!!)2 points

ONLY 5, 4, 3 2 1 SPOT LEFT, TROOPERS, SO TIME TO STEP-UP! 1000 Expert Infantry reached! Now that many of us are unfortunately stuck at home and boredom is beginning to take it's toll, it's time to wipe the dust off of that armor bin and become a part of FISD history! Instead of binge-watching re-runs, we are suggesting that you put the D.O. Staff to the test and spend some time on that white armor you miss wearing so much by applying for your Expert Infantry badge! As you may be aware, we are aiming to have #1000 approved by the end of the year. We only have 2 to go, so in order to reach that goal we are asking that you read over the CRLs for your particular armor, (this thread will help) make any necessary adjustments and post up your submission! Photo Checklist- Link here Apply Here Questions: 1. Not sure if I have what it takes to get my EI badge- You don't know until you try, and you have not only the D.O. staff but an entire Detachment to help! 2. I need some repairs/fixes first- This is why we are here! We honestly want you to succeed and are here to help in any way we can. 3. I am happy with the way my armor looks, so why bother?- It not only makes you look more screen accurate, it instills a sense of pride and "esprit de corps"! 4. What if I don't make it? No worries, we will provide detailed suggestions on how to reach your goal! Benefits: 1 Bragging rights for being one of the "Original 1000" 2. You get a cool badge under your name here on the FISD. (Street cred). 3. Access to EI rocker badges (coming soon) to go above your FISD patch (also coming soon)! 4. Access to coin runs for EI awardees only. 5. Certificate for your accomplishment. 6. You will have a more screen accurate looking set of armor, and be one step closer to Centurion!! 7. We are planning a VERY special piece of one-time-only FISD Exclusive merch to honor hitting this milestone! Know that the entire Staff and those who have reached Levels 2 (and 3) are here to help in any way we can, and that you are more than welcome (and encouraged) to ask any and all questions you may have here on this thread, or contact myself or Sha Sha. You can do it, Troopers. Let's turn this "anno horribilis" into a banner year for the FISD!1 point

After skulking around in the shadows for the past week or two I am introducing myself. I’m Steve, from Hereford, England. Über-excited about starting my first build soon enough using RWA kit. A WIP will follow over on UK Garrison.1 point

Now it is complete! About 1 1/2 years to complete, but love the result. Electronics work great, thanks RankAndFileTrooper. https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/profile/26059-rankandfiletrooper/ Below is the final weathering of the scope1 point

Looks like they are a slightly softer pull, I have seen a few odd looking pieces from ATA of late. I found a small crack on one of my straps so immediately added some glue and a piece of ABS behind to strengthen.1 point

Imagine being that 1,000th person right now. Assuming they know. Or even the next 2-3 people in the que..1 point

Working on getting my armour ready for EIB, I have trimmed my sniper knee to be more accurate, getting pictures of the canvas belt and drop box position and cleaning up the ab buttons. As well as new white elastic shoulder straps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

It definitely helps knowing what to expect before getting started. Even then, the unexpected is sure to pop up every so often. I couldn't even imaging trying to do this without research. Thanks so much, Glen. It was both nerve-wracking AND exciting finally putting scissors and blades to plastic!1 point

No original trilogy Stormtroopers wear pauldrons, it's only Sandtroopers that do. You can (with your garrisons approval) wear a pauldron at non cannon events, many troopers do. An oldie but a goodie1 point

Sep 2020 It has indeed been a long time since we have awarded a member this accolade, and it's rarity makes it all that more important to an awardee and the detachment at large. Anthony Paladino TK10666( aka Redforce) is one such trooper worthy of this accolade for his meritorious behavior. Anthony has continued to support his fellow troopers through the attache system, initially earning him the attache award. Anthony again stepped up recently to helm a rather large patch run which ran its course in a record time from the first post in the sales thread, to the last package posted. Not only has this run just wrapped up but Anthony is now helping Joseph with the 11' Victory 1000 patch run, educating him on his excellent system of organising and shipping packages, lets also add to this that he has also offered to write up a "How to" of what he does to make a merch run fast and efficient, something the detachment will continue to benefit from now, and into the future. Please join me in congratulating Anthony on this achievement of excellence. With unquestioned loyalty TK11469 "Sly11" DL1 point

Welcome to the FISD, Chris. The boss absolutely needs some quality protection flanking his side. Keep in mind that the ROTJ TK is a bit different than the ANH or ESB TK - if you are trying to match movies. Not that any of us suffer from that sort of OCD.1 point
