not a ton of progress in the last few days. And I don't have any photo's at the moment so show of what little I did get accomplished. I've finished gluing the biceps and I'm rather surprised at how well they fit. I didn't make any sizing adjustments to the BSP trim lines, they just fit. Yay. I've finished gluing the forearms. They fit just fine with the gaskets at the elbow, but they are very wide at the wrist and it feels awkward. I've seen posts/threads/comments about adding some foam inside to make them sit properly on my arm, but I still question whether or not I should rip these apart (used E6000) and trim the sides a little to tighten up the hand side of the forearm. I'll get a photo showing the width at my wrist the next time I sit down to work on this. Next I plan to tackle the legs. My question for folks is whether or not I should add the holster and other parts to the halves before gluing the shells together. I'm leaning toward assembling the part and then adding detail bits but I'm not sure if that's the most effective angle. Our Riot Shields arrived from Backstage Props. They were supposed to be included in the original shipment as an added bonus for all the preorders. BSP shipped them out with the replacement ab boxes that were originally shipped with a corner cut off.2 points

Important plot points that we can't discuss at this time but the "dirty" troopers are Rogue one used armor as you can see in the clips posted above.2 points

Hi Joseph, i apologise this was my fault.. Here is a pic of the area as was originally in the pics, no revits however a black mark where the repair was. I have now cleaned it up so it looks much better, unfortunately there are 2 cracks there which are patched on the underside. Hopefully this looks much better now? Jamie2 points

Got my Trooperbay pouches and all of Ukswrath’s goodies in just now! Now to carefully see how well I can cram all of this into this bucket.. Sent from my iPhone using The Force1 point

I have one on top of my knee, built my Anovos FOTK in 10 days from start to painted and approval, was just before the premier of TFA, was in such a rush trimming I dropped the Dremel with cutting disc going full speed on top of my thigh, no time to bleed so it was out with a rag and the superglue, I have a nice scar there and it reminds me each time I see it about the build, I don't regret doing it at all but boy it was annoying for a week or so1 point

So, KB Props just posted this.. looks like things are well under way! Sent from my iPhone using The Force1 point

I had to do a considerable amount of trimming as well. If you cut off the cover strip you would probably have to sand the back of it down to get the right thickness. The buttplate shape is a little off on Jim's kit so trimming around the bottom would work out.1 point

Great news, I know KB has been doing updates and although I've not seen any face to face what I've seen online is looking promising. Looks like your going to have a big box under your Christmas tree this year1 point

Great Denis, Congratulations Trooper !!! Welcome to Centurion.1 point

Hi Denis, Thanks for your application for Centurion, always great to see your fellow troopers go for our highest level! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements All required photos are now in and, after review, we are pleased to welcome you to Centurion! On behalf of the DO team and myself, many congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly In this area we discuss areas that could benefit from additional improvement. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. And just like your EIB application we'll work from the top down. Lets start by taken a look at the traps on your helmet. I'm not sure if its the angle & lighting but it seams to be creeping up over the radius edges. Take a look at the photo of yours vs the screen used bucket and you'll see what i'm referencing. Reference Photos Next up well move on to your shoulders. Great job on taken Josephs advise you really got them where they need to be. What I'm talking about is the alignment of your right bicep to help you get that right up against your chest armor. While dressing just do a double check that the raised ridge on the bicep is lined up with the ridge on the shoulder, this should bring them in that last bit to give you that just stepped out of the Imperial Propaganda Poster look. Reference Photo I'll also point out that it looks as if you could use to pull up/down on your sleeves a bits as well or it might have gotten caught on the elbow. Again just a quick once over before stepping out into the Emperors Lineup . Lastly I'm going to point out your calves and again its just a simple alignment and making sure you look your absolute best and ready for Lord Vader's Inspection. The right one is spot on but the left could be in a little bit. Again its a simple look in the mirror or having your handler giving you a once over to make sure everything is in place. Reference Photo That should do it, great job on making the adjustment that your fellow troopers called out, the smallest detail can make a huge difference, congratulations & welcome to Centurion Trooper.1 point

So after searching around and doing some more research.. even considered some partially built armor kits.. I decided to hit up KB Props about getting in on his next run. I wasn’t sure if KB was the way to go considering how large some of his pieces were but I think he’s made some changes to the forms to call for less modifications out of the box. However, surprisingly enough, he’s allowing me to jump in on the current run which delivers a week before Christmas! I assume he has more ABS material than he needs, so I’m grateful to have been allowed in on a closed run. In any event, I’ve got a BBB coming! Sent from my iPhone using The Force1 point

Here's a list of things to work on to improve the armor. This was, after all, a speed build on a first time build, so there were a few hiccups. 1. Replace the belt it has broken on me several times, and I am actually not too happy with using the solid plastic that way. I recall @Navajo Bro's documented build they also swapped the belt out with a rubber matt they had cut and glued into a long strip. Also just considering buying something since I'm like totally out of energy now. 2. redo some of the strapping So it turns out I had accidentally used some of the straps included in the kit incorrectly. First is the thighs: there were two very long pieces of webbing that I got mixed up with some of the webbing I had, and ended up cutting them for other things. So they're actually meant to attach to the thighs and go on like suspenders. Instead, I had used the elastic straps meant to hold the biceps up as holds for the thighs. This is not working since the elastic is obviously already stretching. I'm not worried about the biceps, because they hold up pretty well, but I might switch it too 3. clean up forearms So I worked on the forearms when I had the flu, so they're pretty jank. Fine for costuming, but the perfectionist in me is twitchy. First is I need to remove the return edges on the wrist, they're where my main armor bite is. Also possibly trim down the whole thing , again armor bites at the elbow. Next is to possibly bondo or caulk the seams where the greeblie is attached to the forearm. I was a little overzealous when sanding it, so there's some slight gaps. Lastly, to clean up joint. I had the idea of using ABS past to join the pieces, not realizing that the abs paste had bubbles in it, and had slightly discolored. I kinda want to learn about bondo, but then I'd have to paint it. 4. Redo seams on the legs My thighs and shins were a lot smaller than the kit, so I ended up trimming a lot from it. The result was that they were a little less curved, and can tell the plastic is pulling hard on the E6000 glue. I might ABS paste this, since as messed up as my forearms look, they're super secure. The bottom of the shin might need some trimming, since I'm pretty short and it knocks into my boots 5. getting a different size shoe so Imperial Surplus had a boot that was sold with the kit, and I was advised to go down about half a size. Well I'm actually in between a 7.5 and a 8, so wearing a size 7 actually is not the most comfortable. Since I've worn it obviously can't return/exchange, so the question is whether to contact them to get the larger size, or to get a different one completely ALSO.. I ORDERED A BLACK FEM7 KIT. SO STAY TUNED FOR ANOTHER BUILD IN THE FUTURE... hopefully better documented and more carefully done ALSO. I DID ORDER THE LEGACY TK KIT. Guess I might actually try to join the 501st... but I'm really scared of all teh snap plates! I got away with velcro'ing everything in this one~!!1 point

Really? His is comparable in measurements to the Anovos Pauldron I owned. That would make it larger than MTK already. He was also reshaping the mold after taking on some advice. Not sure where he is at currently. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

KB's is a little small, most don't get the sizing quite right, doesn't have enough of the tear drop are angle inwards, but you take what you can get.1 point

The style you want is the bottom red one. Also seen in white or black to denote different ranks. Anovos Pauldrons are hard to find or yet to be delivered - no surprises there!!! Reach out to KB Props. He recently created a good sized abs version which, after a few tweaks, has gone up really well. Around $65 I think. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

I got mine from the same guy back in August. It is becoming increasingly evident that Anovos is continuing to fund their activities through back door means. Anyway...let’s not talk Anovos, this is your build thread and it gets more exciting by the day [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

It’s actually a surprisingly small bc snd light box. I bought from the same vendor and when it arrived here in Australia I was surprised by the new Anovos packaging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro1 point

In regards to paint, I used RAL 9010 and a gloss clear to paint my KB kit and I feel that was a pretty good match against my Anovos helmet.1 point

Imperial boots does not have liners but I use soft cotton liners and swap them out in-between troops, saves them getting too sweaty. Just watch getting them too wet I know my first IB gloves bled quite a lot, not sure how endorfinders are1 point
