  1. File this under useless trivia: I had a chat with Brian Muir at a Con in Tampa and asked him specifically about the thumbprint. He said it was not actually in his original sculpt and had no idea how it got there or why it was only seen on the left side.

  4. Hey all! BBB day has finally come! I've been super excited for this day to happen. I decided to do a build thread cause well.....I know I will need alot of help with the build. I also have my E-11 going as well and have taken a break to make my first cuts. I know if don't do it right away fear will set in even more. So here we go! I took everything out and laid it out trying to process the whole idea of this build. The only thing not in the picture is the bag of screws, the green lens for the eyes and the stack of abs given for the cover strips ( this is a huge stack). I'm happy he was able to send so much extra as i would like to do inside cover strips. I also will need to shim the kidney plate as I'm going to build to centurion (hopefully)

  6. Hey, @PGHtrooper21, so I have a Jim kit. I'm a little late to the party answering for you, but I can't recommend his work and service enough. Not only is it a great kit, but he's one of the only if not most reliable vendors for FOTK armor. Now to answer you question about breathing in the helmet. It's about the same as any other helmet. Your best action to make things work though would be to add some fans to the front to provide great air flow. Tony, aka @ukswrath who answered above provides some excellent fans for this. Feel free to check out my build thread to see more details on how I achieved this. FN-1313 Build Thread

  7. Whilst this artwork refers to the animated character it would seem logical the BS would follow suit in relative design and colour distribution. You can see what is black, grey and gold. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  8. You’ll actually need a lot of grey as well. The biceps, ab, belt boxes and handplates are all grey. So is the Pauldron. Something in the range of Basalt is a good colour choice, and one I’ve been testing. You’d also need to add another set of boxes to your right shins as Pyre appears to have them in both. ATG gloves from Imperial Boots would be the go. In addition they can make their FO boots in black. They’re making me a test pair. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  9. Great question, the FISD has never been in the habit of making someone pull out a ruler to check measurement. Specific numbers are generally to be used as a guideline. The term "little" gap used by Glen though broad would also allow for minor imperfections. Without it's absolutely black and white, no pun intended That said we've all heard the CRLs may be changing, to what extent has yet to be determined. Threads like this are where you can voice your facts, opinions and provide screen shots for reference.

  10. A Hasbro can be approved for EI (Level 2), and you're correct... not Centurion (Level 3). I had the same dilemma as you. I wanted pewpewpew, but I wanted Centurion as well. I ended up buying a Hyperfirm to satisfy the Centurion requirements. I've never trooped with it, actually. My Hasbro is lighter and (IMO) much more fun to troop with. I don't think Hyperfirm produces blasters anymore. Praetorian Blasters seems to be the new go-to for rubber Centurion-qualified weaponry (and since their blasters are all rubber, they are super con-friendly). I had heard great things about them, and they had some e-11 blasters recently available, so I snagged one. Holy cow, it is epic. The Praetorian e-11 is a huge upgrade over my Hyperfirm with regards to detail. It's a little pricey, but you really do get what you pay for. It is gorgeous! (I ended up giving my Hyperfirm to my hubby because he needs one for his upcoming TK.) You can find more info and pics of Praetorian Blasters here. Send them a PM, and they will hook you up.

  11. After waiting this long I do feel it is a canned response but what does screaming in all caps on online chat help me? I do know some things I have ordered have been quickly delivered. I have seen things I did want to purchase from them but until this is cleared up I can't. I can't order another thing knowing they have thousands of dollars of goods I have yet to receive and I think its a shame as they may have made more sales from me. but going on 3 years leaves a very bad taste in my mouth, Yes I ordered multiple sets. Just some plain honesty and clarity would help their case but I have failed to see it. Afraid to block the "hey we got a new Boba Fett Blaster" in case I miss the your order is ready to ship email. And I can't believe customer service doesn't get updates from the back office as I work for a large company and every customer whether 50 Million in Sales or 15 thousand gets treated with the same respect and gets their concerns answered. These are not question's we are asking them they are concerns.

  12. Hello Mark, 1) Trim it. 2) Not that obvious in your picture. You can try take one picture under sunlight (white light) and another one under warm (yellow) light to see the differences in tone. But since it’s at the back, people don’t usually notice.

  15. Not necessarily. The FOTK troopers currently at Disney parks are no where close to screen accurate.

  16. Great save! Yeah, I think we all make mistakes like that at times, but you handled the situation quite well. How long have you been a member in Utah for James? I don't think we have met. --------

  17. As many of you know, the 501st elections have come to a close. The FISD membership has spoken. Congratulations to our 2019 FISD Detachment Leader Sarah (Alay)!

  18. Fibregalss comes as a mat which you cut, the resin is mixed with a hardener then applied to the mat. If you haven't used it before I would suggest using glue and ABS, fibreglass can be very messy. This will give a general idea of what it is http://www.wikihow.com/Fiberglass I purchase mine from an automotive paint supplier.
