  1. Hi Stuart, Looking good. If you want some tips on the shoulder bell elastic, here’s our armour maker himself; Also, your magazine appears to be inserted backwards in your e-11. Best of luck with clearance. Dan
  2. Nice work, Trooper. Stay at your post - we’ll be with you shortly. ;-)
  3. Hi Jay. Not looking too bad, although, as you say, a few tweaks will make it more accurate. Firstly, the bumps in the tears are accurate. Visible in one of the reference pictures below. The black lines around the traps, tears and ears are very thick. The ears are quite high, quite thick, and the angle of them could be improved with some work. Looking at your pictures, the natural cut/trim lines for the ears appears to be catching the light. I’ve highlighted these here: Thinning these out would allow the ears to drop a little, and be a more screen accurate. Ref below: Note the thickness of the “disc” on the ears: Tube stripes should be approximately a pencil width from the cheeks; Ref If you wanted to take the frown paint to the next level, check out some of the screen ref frowns. Many have the extra paint, extending past the un-drilled 5th hole. If you want some excellent reference pictures, check out www.starwarshelmets.com or the FISD picture gallery. Any questions you have, don’t hesitate to ask. Best wishes Dan :-)
  4. Hi Miguel, Thank you for staying with us whilst we work on your application. Could we please ask for a close up/clear photo of your thermal detonator screws? It looks like they are domed head screws. If this is the case, I’m afraid they will have to be replaced with pan head, slotted screws as requested in the CRL; Level two certification (if applicable): Clips shall be attached with slotted, pan head style screws, and be black (two per clip). Example This should be a simple fix and we look forward to hearing back from you, Trooper. :-)
  5. Well done, Trooper. :-)
  6. Congrats trooper. :-)
  7. Hi Aaron, and welcome to your EIB review. All the required submission photos have been posted. Your armor appears to display all necessary elements as set out in the level 2 CRL. The DO crew would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry..... Congratulations, trooper. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly:In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. Well done for taking on board the suggestions made by your fellow troopers. They have already improved the overall look of your armour. There are still a few easy adjustments that could take your armour to even higher heights. Starting from the top, you've made a really nice job of the frown paint. If you wanted to add that extra ANH Stunt touch, you could consider extending the paint beyond the 5th un-drilled tooth. Examples below: Moving down the armour a little, we would suggest a couple of adjustments to help the overall look of your kit. Shoulder bell elastic could be shortened to reduce the gaps, getting them as close as possible to the plastic shoulder bridges. They are currently sitting a little further away from the chest than they could be. It also looks as if your shoulder strapping (connecting the chest to back plate over your shoulders) is popping out from under the plastic shoulder bridges. It might be worth looking to see if you can line these up with the bridges to make them less visible. Ref: In one of your original pictures, it appears that there might be a lot of excess room around the wrist. You could consider tapering the forearms to achieve a sleeker fit. Ref: Your thigh and shin cover-strips look quite oversized. Based on the inner construction of those parts, it looks like you could comfortably reduce these in size to around 20mm wide. For a taller chap, you've made a great job of spacing the armour parts. If at all possible, we would suggest evening out the back to kidney gap if possible. Moving down to your calves, they were originally overlapping the wrong way. Well done for making that correction. They look a lot better now. Reference calves: Your butt plate is hanging quite loose on the right side. Elastic adjustments should resolve this. I've highlighted in red where an elastic internal strap could help to resolve this. Ref of butt plate Thank you for making the suggested paint changes. Both of your ab button plates could be reduced in size, with nice squared off corners. Also, if you go for Centurion, we would highly recommend tidying up the paint a little to go that extra mile. Ref Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you the best we can for Centurion. Whilst many of the above are recommended changes, the below would be required for the highest level that is Centurion. Thank you for also making the changes to your belt corners. They look much better than the rounded corners. They are, however, now a little over-trimmed, and the buttons on this belt seems o be recessed. I believe that you kit came with two belts and that the other belt does not have the recessed buttons. If you are aiming for Centurion, we would ask that you use the other belt and trim the corners a little less, as per the below reference photo. Reference 1 Ref 2 Congratulations again. You've made a great job of your build. We hope to see you applying for Centurion soon.
  8. Hi Freddie, Lovely work. It’s been a pleasure following your blaster and armour builds. :-) Could we kindly ask for a close up of your thermal detonator screws, please? It looks as though they might be dome head screws. If so, these would have to be swapped out for slotted, pan head screws for EIB. (An easy fix, if required). Best wishes Dan
  9. Many congrats, mate.[emoji16]
  10. Thanks, Aaron. We’ll await the new pics before we proceed. Dan
  11. Nice one. Welcome to the world of RWA armour (I’m very proud of mine) and congrats on your BBB. If you haven’t already, check out Ross’ tutorials on YouTube. They got me through my build and right the way up to Centurion. Best wishes Dan
  12. Congrats on your first couple of troops. I’m glad you’re feeling good in your armour. :-) I also have my TRamp around my neck with the supplies strap, however I wear my neck seal over the undersuit. Thankfully, my neck seal seems to stay in place quite well while I troop so neck seal over undersuit (like the movies) works well for me. If you want to stick with it under your undersuit, you could attach your TRamp directly to the inside of your chest plate with (for example) industrial Velcro. Many troopers use this method (with Velcro or strapping of sorts). If it really affects the position of your chest plate, you could certainly experiment with positioning it in the square part of the back plate. Just get a helper to see (well, hear) if it sounds okay from around the back. I’m guessing it’ll sound okay, but no harm in hanging it around the back for a test run. :-)
  13. Looking great, Stuart. The others have you covered. I’m sure you’ll be a UKG member in no time. Hopefully you’ll return to FISD for your EIB and Centurion? :-)
  14. Nice work, Stuart. If you have any more pictures, post them up in your own thread in the pre-approval section and we’ll have a closer look. :-) Dan
  15. Uh oh. What have you gone and done??! Lol
  16. Nice progress. :-)
  17. Keep it up, Jesse. Sorry to hear about the electronics. I’m sure this will still be a wonderful piece when it’s finished. :-)
  18. Thanks, Aaron. We’ll be with you shortly. :-)
  19. Hi Patrick, Great advise from the others. I can see that you have a few different threads at the moment with different pics in each. If it were me, I’d post all of your pictures to one thread, including kitted up photos and individual parts. Best way to do that is to use the “BBCODE” option in Imgur and post those links into your thread. This way, the images show up right there in the thread, rather than being redirected to an image hosting site. Your armour is getting there. The community is here to help you if we can get some clearer pics. Best wishes Dan
  20. Another RWA Centurion in the making, me thinks. ;-) Great work, Mason. Look forward to seeing you on the front lines. :-)
  21. Hi Aaron, Thank you for your application. Could we please request photos of your sniper knee (left, right, front) and your thigh ammo pack (left, right, front and inner fixings). Thank you in advance. :-)
  22. Well done!! Welcome to Centurion. :-)
  23. That’s coming on really nicely. Looking forward to the next update. :-) Just a little thing I noticed: if you are going for out and out accuracy, the rear foot of the scope usually lines up with the coach bolts for the folding stock. Example below; Keep up the good work. :-) Dan
  24. Nicely done - looking great!! :-)
