  1. Blimey!! That looks like an accident waiting to happen! Lol I did my build with a trusty pair or Lexan Scissors. Gives a lot of control. The only places I used score and snap was the visible straight edges, such as the coverstrips, ammo belt, ab buttons etc. Each to their own, though. It clearly worked for the guy in the video. :-)
  2. I’m sure you and the young Padawan can get it done by then. Heck, I’d thought he’d have his Centurion by then!! ;-)
  3. Great progress, Mason. I can’t see this being a long build. ;-)
  4. Well done, Eric. Looking great! :-)
  5. Good start. [emoji1303] Here’s a lovely reference pic for the plate sizes. :-)
  6. Hiya Tapatalk is a simple way to upload your posts, including pictures. Otherwise, a service like Imgur would work well. Upload your pics to your Imgur account, then copy and paste the “BBCode” link into your post. Here’s a great tutorial; https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42381-howto-post-images-in-threads-using-imgur-easy/ Hope that helps. Dan :-)
  7. Nice one, Brendon. Look forward to seeing your build unfold. :-)
  8. I believe you automatically follow when you start a thread. Did you get a notification when I replied?
  9. Nice work, Craig. Looking forward to following your progress. :-)
  10. Hey Joey, Personally, I’ve not heard of TM being hard to build, and it’s certainly beautiful armour; however there are lots of good TM and ATA builds here on the forum, including a couple of great TM builds by @TheSwede, that are worth having a look through. I’d also suggest checking out some cleared EIB and Centurion applications for those armour makers. Most applications include the applicants height and weight so you can look for someone with a similar frame and see how the fitting went for them. Hope that helps a little. :-) Dan
  11. I really like the way you’re documenting this build, Eric. Keep up the good work. :-)
  12. Good to see you on the FISD, Mason. Perhaps another RWA Centurion in the family? ;-)
  13. Nice work, YL. You’ve made a nice job of that and I’m sure you won’t have much trouble getting your clearance. Hopefully see see you soon applying for EIB and Centurion.
  14. Nice work. :-)
  15. Hi Dave, and thank you for your ANH-Stunt EI application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted, and I am very pleased to announce that your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantryman. Since your initial build thread, you have made excellent use of those new armor parts - kudos for that. On behalf of the Deployment team, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. You’ve made a really tidy job of your armor and we don’t have a lot to highlight. The following suggestions will help to take your armor another step closer to its on screen counterparts. Starting from the lid. Compared with screen used lids, your ears are possibly a little thick. You could consider trimming them a little more if you wanted to get even closer to screen accurate. This might also help the lower edge of the ear wrap around the "tube/cheek" a little better where the ear meets the lower neck trim/s-trim. We would suggest keeping a close eye on your shoulder bells/chest gap. Although it looks like you've got the shoulder bells as close as they'll get (good job), it looks like the undersuit might be bunching a little and overlapping the bells. Example of shoulder bells/gaps: As mentioned by your fellow troopers, it appears that your forearm and bicep coverstrips might be a little long, extending past the edge of the relevant armour parts. A little trim on these would be suggested. In the same picture, it appears that your undersuit might be bunching between the back and kidney. In a couple of pictures, your waist ammo belt has dropped (which you mentioned in your application). If you find this happens on occasion, you could consider an extra popper/snap, (or an alternative like Velcro), in the centre of the belt, attaching to the middle of the ab (below the ab buttons), just to keep it from dropping. Belt Reference: Moving to the legs, your thighs and shins are not currently lining up. Based on the photos provided, it looks like your shins are lined up with your feet, so we’d suggest correcting the thighs to match. Centurion Suggestions: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. More detailed photos will be required when you go for Centurion and will allow us to look at the finer details, however, from what we can already see, it looks like you’re on the right track. You currently have a very small gap on the left side of your ab/kidney connection. Just shortening those straps should correct that for you. We look forward to seeing your Centurion application soon…
  16. Welcome back, Tino. :-)
  17. Hi Dave, Thanks for your patience. Just one more thing - could we please have a picture showing the d-ring, please. Many thanks.
  18. Hi Dave, We’re on the case. To allow us to check for EIB/L2 requirements, could you please provide photos of your sniper knee (left and right) and your thigh ammo pack (left and right, plus inner fixings). Many thanks [emoji1303]
  19. Excellent work, Eric. Very tidy. :-) Just a little observation: if you find that the top of the thighs catch or or rub on your armor, you could consider slightly longer cover strips to even out the tops. Keep up the great work. :-) Dan
  20. Nice work, Dave. One of the team will be with you soon. :-)
  21. Not rubbing it in, however I'm receiving emails and Tapatalk notifications for FISD and UKG. I use Gmail. Not sure if that helps in any way... :-)
  22. That's looking REALLY nice, Daniel. Keep up the good work.
  23. Great work so far, Nicole. :-) Did you have any joy with a photo from the back yet? Also, if we could just ask for a slightly clearer/closer shot of the rear sight on your blaster, please: Dan
