  1. Yes this was updated as the reference images indicate that both styles could have been used.
  2. Loctite superglue
  3. Well there’s no such thing as to many photos
  4. Happy BBB-day The Empire is growing
  5. Oh, it would help if you include the photos in the thread rather than linking them
  6. Happy BBB-dayThe extra ears are for those "oops-moments" As for the decals, don´t know if that should have been included, probably not as they weren´t. I recommend painting yourself for the great feeling you would get of painting your own helmet or you can get templets or decals at Trooperbay.com.
  7. Hi There has always been a 501st only sales section. For non-501st you can go here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/41-imperial-commissary-px/
  8. Wow! BIG congratulations on all counts
  9. Hi Keith They are fine as is, perhaps some minor sanding to even it out
  10. It´s optional so no you don´t need to
  11. I just put velcro on the knee gaskets
  12. Hi again Pam and thank you for your EIB application. In this review I will ensure that your armor follows the requirements set out in the CRL L2 Expert Infantry Badge and also point out what I can to prepare you for Centurion, should you choose to apply. I hope you do! Let´s get started! CRL and EIB Application Requirements All required photos are now in and, after review, we are pleased to welcome you to Expert Infantry rank. On behalf of the DO team and myself, many congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly In this area we review observations made by your fellow troopers and the DO team. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions You did great on your build and we only have a few small suggestions to make and starting with the helmet we see that the ears are nicely fitted. The majority of Stunt helmets also had a bit of a lean to them, as seen in the reference images, so if you feel up to it we feel this would ad even more to that ANH feeling. The belt is fine as it is but same as with the ears, some small tweeking and it would be perfect. In this case raising the center part of the belt a smidgen. Moving on we have the TD and idealy the screws are positioned closer to the edge and further apart. We also suggest not making the bends so pronunced (full arrows) and to add that little bend on the ends for uber ANH magic. Here we would have preferred that you hadn´t made these mobility cuts as you don´t seem to need them, it just looks cleaner not having them. Unless you went for that particular look in which case we Keeping the thighs longer would then be the go-to suggestion as it looks like you trimmed them shorter. And that´s it for EIB - moving on to Centurion. Centurion Requirements In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustments. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items to pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all that we can from what is seen, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. Not much to say here other than we´re picky and want you to shorten the straps that hold the bells. We´re just as picky here and request you thighten the strapping to keep that back plate nice and snug to the kidney. There we have it! Welcome again to Expert Infantry and with some fine tuning Centurion is well within your grasp
  13. When can we start ordering?
  14. ABS paste, although I think the originals had the seams hidden with white steelmax glue, same result though Also illustrating how the thighs are alligned by the top part of the lower ridges. How it looks without ammo pack.
  15. That’s an oversight, thanks for pointing it out The cut lines you have would work but I would suggest not making them untill you are finished and tried the whole kit out. Walking stairs looking like a toddler that just learned to walk is somewhat required of a Stormtrooper
  16. Decided I wanted to paint the KB helmet pink, I just lightly sanded before painting so there are imperfections which are easy to fix if wanting to but as this is a "fun-helmet" I didn´t bother and figured it was battle-damage. Pretty happy with it and when/if I get my Anovos kit, I´m going to paint the whole kit pink. the "old one" that is Going to install mirrored lenses when they arrive.
  17. Thanks Andy
  18. Thanks again And it’s about 5-6 mm.
  19. Hi Pam If you decide to redo the sniper knee be sure to keep it level in the front as well, the way you have it now is fine for EIB but we will need you to amend this for Centurion. I am working on your review - haven’t forgotten And, if you need help in how to adjust the Sniper knee just let us know
  20. Hey Ardeshir You are not beeing overlooked, we´re almost there
  21. Here’s how I would do it: remove the coverstrip in the back, trim for size, (keeping the wrist end as snug as possible, barely getting the hand through) remove the front coverstrip then glue the back first and it should be fairly easy to glue the front after the back had enough time to cure...if not there’s always heat to persuade it I don’t think foam alone would be enough to get the right look but you could try that first and we can have another look
  22. It’s more than okey, the original armor did not have any flat surface on the back of forearms so trim away And, it’s easier to drill out a snap than you would think. Was surprised the first time I did it and now I’m in the process of replacing all my snaps on the FOTK to better quality DOT snaps
