  1. Today I had yet another reminder of why I got into the 501st. Todays Troop took place at the Give Kids the World Village in Orlando, a non profit resort that gives children with life threatening illnesses a week long vacation. As a Dad, as a human....This one was hard for me. These kids are true hero's & fighters and I can't fathom what their families have and are going thru. Its true the most important thing is your health. All of us go thru things in life , Thats part of it. But what these families are dealing with are on a whole different stratosphere. We might not always like what life throws our way, but if we have our health and our children health then we can make changes adapt and solve problems.......Unfortunately not everyone has that luxury. Someone once asked my why I joined the legion and my reply ended with this. If I can help any man woman or child forget even if its for a microsecond of the struggles they're facing then sign me up! With Unquestioned Loyalty, Mike TK-11463
  2. Hi Jeff, I think your referring to what armor is closest to screen accurate? If thats the case then start with this page here and after that I would direct my attention to this page that explains about taking any armor to that next level with EIB or our highest level Centurion. Any kit thats discussed on out getting started page that I linked above with proper fit & built to Centurion standard will get you as close to screen accurate as possible. As far as what armor to avoid, well we cover that pretty good as well on this page also. Hope that helps, any other questions feel free to ask.
  3. Nice, only thing I would do is see if you can get in the corners and square the edges a bit.
  4. Had a great time trooping the Autism walk & Family Fun Day at the Orlando Convention Center. You know nothing good will become of this!! But we can jam with the best of them!! Any day I get to troop with my Daughter is a great day! Then this happened!! One of many reminders of why we do what we do! This little boy right here couldn't have been more excited to see me so I had to take him to meet all my other friends and to be honest I'm not sure who was smiling more, Him his Mom behind us or Me under the bucket. We picked up a couple troopers in this photo on our way to the rest of the group. This is one of my personal favorite photos of me trooping, to quote a friend of mine "Its good to be Legion"
  5. No place like the Dunk for a hockey game, Great work troopers!!
  6. Congrats & Welcome to the ranks!! Now go out and do what we do best Troop!!!
  7. Great Work TK now go out and do what we do best.....Troop!!
  8. Good luck with your build Nicole! Any questions feel free to ask away.
  9. Great post & now you get to do what we do best and that is to get out there and Troop!!!!!! Congrats and Welcome!
  10. Great looking build, just a few minor adjustments & we'll be looking for your EIB request!!
  11. Besides the obvious issues with the helmet it looks as though the armor was trimmed to much and would make it hard to fit anyone unless its a petite person. They'll also need to replace the knee ammo pack, and belt section as to much was trimmed to make it usable. If they haven't purchased it yet I'd advise them to stay far away.
  12. Ive been Trooping in one of Walts kits for a year and have had zero issues! Quality kit from a standup guy thats understands customer service. I wouldn't hesitate telling someone to contact Walt or anyone of his crew for a kit.
  13. Merry Christmas to all and here’s to a Healthy and Happy New Year!
  14. Some more photos from the Parade! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  15. Congrats & Welcome to the Legion Trooper!! Great backstory and know you'll get to see first hand what we mean by "Bad guys doing good."
  16. From mine to yours Wishing everyone who celebrates it a Happy Thanksgiving
  17. Your off to a great start and like others have said no worries on how long its taken the only deadline you have is the one you've place on it. Keep doing exactly what your doing measuring 3 to 4 times then make sure your safe to cut then measure once more then take a deep breath & cut!! As far as them being a bit annoying to put together try gluing the inner cover strip to one half to create a shelf for the opposite half to rest on.
  18. Congratulations & great job Trooper welcome to the ranks!
  19. Voted!! Didn't make it easy on us thats for sure, Well done Troopers.
  20. I'd take one with any of the designs submitted!
  21. Looks great, the only things I would try to do is get the left shoulder in a little bit more so it touches the shoulder strapping like the right one does, that could just be a adjustment for photos because it looks fine in the photos from the back and the left drop box can come up a bit as well. Also your going to have to add more paint to the frown. Take a look at the reference photos and you'll see what I mean.
