1. Wait did you say with the printer you built?? Now that is cool, following & cant wait to watch this progress!
2. That's going to be a tough one to accomplish in two days like you said start with the bucket & blaster then reassess your situation. Honestly I'm about 3 weeks into my blaster build alone and I just started to think about buying paint but I've only worked on it a couple hours a night. Just hate to see you rush it for a costume party and screw it up. And if you are doing it quick & dirty use e6000 for the glue it's forgiven while zap a gap is not.
3. This is the build thread I was referring to. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29683-anh-stunt-ata-re-build-part-1/?fromsearch=1

Tony does a great job rebuilding what most would have chalked up to as an expensive lesson!
4. William first off welcome to the FISD! , As you've probably gathered armor from eBay is usually a bad thing especially fully assembled armor. Even if it was approved it was approved for him and that doesn't necessarily mean that it will be for you. If the two of you are the same build then at best you might need to shim or adjust the chest piece/redo the strapping to make sure all the gaps are correct for your body and unfortunately at worst hang it on a mannequin and you have a expensive conversation starter. One you get it look for armor parties with your garrison and read as many build threads as you can! I'm trying to think who it was that did an amazing job on a ATA armor rebuild if I run across it I'll post the link.
5. MY GOD Photo bucket has to be the worst site in existence!! How the continue to operate is just dumbfounding. (ok mini rant over on with an update ) Cleaned up the folding stock & added some hardware. Also added the set screw for the magazine holder. And I can't even tell you how much easier it is to use a rubber band on the smaller pieces. I was finding that the spring clamps couldn't conform to the things I was trying to glue up to get a good set to them. I used the led off a key chain flashlight and will fill it with foam. I also need to punch the "off" into the top. I also started on the front site. Not to sure if I'm going to put the dovetail into the barrel, while I find the resin easy to work with I'm not sure if I'm ready to cut into it that deep. Still need to take more out of it though. I also picked this up at toys-r-us for five bucks and the glass fits almost perfect! Up next are the ejection port & guard Inner bolt, plunger, extractor and recoil spring Rear sight, end cap & D Ring Thanks
6. WOW great job on the folding stock!
7. Go to the getting started read this first forum and go thru the list is vetted armor makers, for a little more money you can get a great kit and know where it's coming from. Your best staying away from eBay for armor.
8. OK So After much research and placing myself on ATA's waiting list and patiently awaiting my big brown box to arrive I do what any trooper in the making should do... order a Doopy's Kit. After checking and rechecking I noticed that the typical OUT OF STOCK button was missing. I've seen a few topics and even started one myself as far as dealing with Doopy's so here's my timeline. Ordered a full kit on Aug 7th Received the Dispatched email on the 29th Package arrived to me on Sept.15th After reading and rereading FISD E-11 Reference guide and Tino's and many other post I open the box and think what the heck did I get myself into? I have zero experience with any type of model building other then the snap together never mind anything else so here goes nothing. First things first..everything gets a bath and goes onto the workbench. The blue mat is an old yoga mat it helps keep things in place and offers a little cushion between the resin and hard workbench surface. Being the first time I've dealt with anything like this I figured I would start with the trigger and trigger guard first. started by marking out where the excess material and sand it to the line. Here they are finished. I have to say that I'm pleased with my work. I took my time as I wasn't sure how hard or easy the material would be to work. Up next was the handle, I made the following mods as you can see, replaced the plastic screw for a brass screw on the free & lock position. Installed a acorn nut on the opposite side and added a 6mm socket head cap screw as you can see I drilled it out a bit to big, I have both a 6 and an 8mm screw so I'm debating on filling the space with modeling clay or just install the larger screw to fit the hole. Now that I sit & stare at it in a photo I think it looks a little small. Not sure how I got 6mm in my head but I think I'll change it out. Time to mark out the barrel & drill along with work on the folding stock. On the stock I drilled out for rivets and a roll pin and also added the wooden dowel on the underside. D Drilled the handle to add a couple screws for support along with the trigger spring. Some E6000 a couple screws and rubber bands for the win!! This is where I'm at so far,I'll try and update it as it moves forward and I look forward to any comments and criticism. Thanks for looking
9. I just received mine, granted it took 3 weeks after I got a dispatched email. Communication was horrendous I sent four emails and didn't get an answer back until I sent one asking for a read receipt with a generic reply. Don't like to talk bad about someone but a little communication goes a long way.
10. Thanks for these cant have enough material to watch / read while awaiting my bbb arrival!
11. Ok so I finally got the dispatched email for my E11 last Monday. My question is how long did take for you to receive your package from them? After reading some horror stories I'm rethinking my decision though I guess I'm a lucky one that got a response from them after emailing a few times asking for a status update!
12. Yea trim it and assemble it yourself so this way you know it fits the way it should and if anything happens you'll have a better understanding of how to fix it.
13. You can also make some "cam clamps" that are long enough to get it exactly where you need it.
if you google it you'll find a bunch of plans for them.
14. As I patently await the delivery of my bid box of happiness I found these videos by accident and im on my second go around and can tell that they will be emensly helpful to anyone who's attempting there first build. Thanks for taking the time to document & post!
15. Great shots and what a fantastic read! Your enthusiasm is infectious!!
16. I believe Shade of Green is the Military resort that charges you according to your rank as well. As far as budget its the food in the parks that get you, If your coming down with your entire family check out the Blue Heron resort, its a 1200 sqft 2 bedroom condo that has everything but the food in the fridge and its close to everything.
