Your chest can definitely overlap the ab more. Just make sure the button plates are still fully visible. If you need to shorten the ab even more, you can split the cod and remove some ABS and the belt will cover the seam.
The helmet has stickers on ESB and the frown is black. The E-11 is different as well. And by gloves, I am assuming you are referring to the hand plates.
My understanding is that AM's current kits are accurate enough to be approved up to Centurion.
Yes according to the Membership DB, there are 4072 ANH Stunt TKs. 291, 208, and 51 for ANH Hero, ESB, and ROTJ, respectively. So, the overwhelming majority of TKs are ANH Stunt!
1. Some glue, some don't. It's something you can decide on later on.
2. You should size the kidney-ab/cod before you decide on the belt length. Are you referring to the ABS belt to canvas belt?
Will shoot you a message to figure out when I can give you a hand!
Some issues I had here:
The chest plate would ideally keep going before you have to trim so taht you have more of the rectangle detail still on. I ended up making new rectangle details.
When I cut the yoke, I cut too much and had a gap between where the back and yoke meet at the sides (you would see this from the side view), so keep that in mind. I kept the return edge and cut the yoke around where you did and it seemed to work for me. Obviously you cut off as little as possible to have as small a gap to fill.
Regarding the yoke, I asked for extra material to reinforce it and they sent me a B-grade, which worked out nicely to reinforce it. Once I filled the seam with plastic weld, the whole thing felt way sturdier.
Ideally you should have trimmed a bit less off the large button plate, but it's not a critical error. Figured you would want to know. It is an easy piece to replace if you decide that you want to do so. You're making great progress!
Regarding chroming yourself, a friend evaluated that getting all the PPE and equipment to do it herself was almost the same cost as having it done somewhere else, so she opted for the latter. You may want to consider a cloth gasket option as well to avoid being a walking personal sauna!
Look forward to seeing your progress! I unfortunately don’t have experience with fibreglass but I’m sure others can chime in. Some FOTKs use Jimmi’s kit too; you might find some inspiration there! Good luck!
