  1. Here's a photo of both sides. I originally did two tabs on the left only due to the rivets but found having two tabs and a tight connection helps keep things lined up better. I had one large tab on the right and it would kind of slouch out near the top since I had not secured it up there.
  2. Regarding your kidney and ab connection, have you strapped that yet? I created a tab system to line up the kdiney and ab and then my belt holds it all closed. Let me know if you want photos...I have seen a few folks doing this as well. It's possible you might just need to trim down the kidney. Maybe a side photo would help?
  3. Yeap, I think you should easily pass basic approval!
  4. Here's hoping your thigh fix goes well! Looks like you're on the right track.
  5. Thanks for the feedback, Greg! Yeah, I haven't seen a hard direction regarding the frown, but that's definitely an adjustment I could make. I do think I could take some more return edge off my shoulder bells...may do that for next time! I find that the tension tends to pull the elastic shoulder straps (chest to back) out from under the bridges, but I'm not sure if that will really help. Might as well give it a shot, eh. Now if only I could finish my current build... Hah.
  6. I suppose to criticize my own application, I feel like my thighs sit low. I sized these up and this is still as high as they can go. My belt also appears to be a bit crooked. Hopefully these issues will not hold back my application!

  8. Good to see you got the greeblies!
  9. Centurion hand guards available here: The issue with the belt is not actually the angle, but the amount removed. Looks like much more than 1/2" The buttons look like they are close to touching on the small button area. I don't have my button measurement handy right now...hopefully someone else can chime in. Here's a reference photo though
  10. Couple of things so I will put in bullets: The angles cut on the ABS belt are much too large. The hand guards look too large as well. The TD clips look a bit small, but you will probably be able to make them work. The buttons on the ab plate look quite big as well. Painting them smaller should help with the appearance. Kidney plate's top side should swoop upwards. Hard to tell in the photos if this angle is present on either side. It's definitely too large as per your observations. The notch should be cut where you pencilled it in, but note that it is not a requirement. Your butt plate is also too large as you have already observed... ...but before you go trimming these, you should cut keeping extra material to reform a return edge on these pieces.
  11. Yeap, looks good to me too!
  12. Okay, sounds good! Thanks Andrew. I didn't find where it was specified. Will keep that in mind when advising others as well. I got Joseph's hand guards with the duck cloth so I will use that and then hit the edges with CA glue.
  13. Just looking for a clarification on the hand guards...do they need to be glued to the rubber gloves for Centurion or can we use elastic straps to simply wear them on top of the rubber gloves? Ran a search here but only found gluing info. Thanks in advance!
  14. CRL does not specify that a bib is required. If your undershirt neck stays high reliably, you could go without it. Edit: Seeking clarification on this. Edit 2: A bib is not required.
  15. The Clone Trooper Detachment is the place to go for all things clone-related! Most people will buy a kit that needs to be trimmed to size and assembled, as creating moulds and pulling armour is not a cheap or easy endeavour! There is a subforum here called "The Foundry" where you may be able to learn a bit more about the process.
  16. Imperial Boots seems to be the popular alternative, but they operate in "waves"...their ordering window for March just closed on 10 Mar, unfortunately.
  17. Unfortunately, I don't think you'll find FOTK for that price range. Even the recast stuff starts at $600 if I recall correctly. edit: A "hybrid" as a mix of parts between costumes cannot be approved in the 501st. A CRL must be followed. Check the CRLs regarding your Boba Fett: http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:CRL If there is no CRL, then it would be a first in the Legion - you would have to work with your GML and they would work with the LMO/DL. A number of reference would be required.
  18. You're looking to keep the neck seal tucked into your undersuit? I added snaps inside my undersuit and on the bib. Just put a snap on a small piece of nylon and then sew on to hide the back of the snap.
  19. Congrats on your EIB! Lots of constructive criticisms to improve the look of your armour but you'll be looking even better with a bit of work!
