  1. Good luck! Lots of great references in the Gallery here.
  2. Congrats on your approval! Welcome to the Legion!
  3. Looks like a pretty easy approval! Very nice! Good luck.
  4. He is referring to using a hot water bath to reshape the biceps a bit. Some parts can fit awkwardly because the opening is oval-like.
  5. Your shoulder bells look like they are touching the shoulder strap, which is ideal! I think fit looks pretty good. You can definitely do some mobility cuts in the legs, just don't go past the ridge. Almost there!
  6. Ooh! Wasn't a competition or anything. Hahah. (but I suppose I won! :P)
  7. Doesn't look like you have too much excess, so you may not need to use a very coarse grit, but 400-600 may take a little while. Use what you think is necessary and go up as you get closer to being done. Polish with some Novus after to give it that shin back.
  8. Looks great! Glad to hear the tabs worked out! Which style of the suggested tab systems did you end up using?
  9. Congrats on your approval! Welcome to the Legion!
  10. Side note: This is something that only 501st members would notice. The general public will probably never notice. You will, however, be able to recognize yourself in photos and your garrison mates will be able to tell you apart too if there are many TKs of similar build. Silver linings!
  11. Ideally you would have a new belt as it should be a right angle in the top corners and rounded like you have in the bottom corners. Your rivets are placed in the top corners already, so you would just be making a new hole in the thigh and attaching it there. Looks like it would move a fair amount. My thoughts on this are: you're approved, you can troop. Order the new knee ammo belt that you're going to be ordering anyway and then just trim it and place it correctly all in one go.
  12. Hope that helps! Note that this is "standard sizing" so if you need to resize anything bigger, you will probably want to make your cover strips wider as well.
  13. Okay, I see. I went back in your build and see what you're talking about. It's angled upwards. What do you mean that the ends wouldn't be able to catch the knee armour? Can you post a close up photo of a side view? I don't think I quite get why you can't just change the attachment point.
  14. Congrats on achieving Centurion!
  15. To sand the ABS paste, start with a low grit and work your way up, even wet sanding when you get to fine grit. Then give it some Novus to get the shine back in! Can you clarify what the issue is with the knee ammo belt? It's positioned up over the ridge in the front, as it should. Yeah, looks a bit short on the sides, but it's not a deal breaker. You're just looking for a solution to get a new knee ammo belt that is longer at the sides?
  16. Looks good! You'll be approved in no time!
  17. Sorry, should have worded that better; I meant three-layer belt. The only specification on the materials for the belt for FOTKs is: The belt is ribbed and made from a rubber or a rubber like material. My understanding from what I've been seeing is that the screen used FOTKs had a three-layer belt. Nylon with the buckle, then a foam layer, and then the rubber layer that is visible.
  18. Any thoughts on maybe a L3 requirements for First Order TKs to have the three-piece belt?
  19. Congrats on your new BBB! It will be easier to remove it before assembly and then you will probably need to sand once the two halves are joined to ensure that they are nice and level.
  20. They can touch. Once you have your glove with the hand plate on, you want to even out the amount of black showing between the bicep and forearm and the forearm and the hand plate.
  21. Hi Gerald, Jim's contact info is here: I know KB Props makes a kit as well. Are you looking to build the TFA or TLJ version?
  22. Yes, if you need to trim it for length, cut to a length between the indents. Even with the forearm piece turning into your elbow, you're unable to lift much higher than that?
