  1. Here are video tutorials to building an accurate helmet. http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=6353
  2. That's an amazing painting and weathering job you did.
  3. I've never heard that. There are many troopers out there that have them, and all the ones I've seen are identical. That may be possible for the MRLE though.
  4. Dark blue is fine, so you should be good to go.
  5. It's 7/16 inches, or 1.11cm.
  6. The efx is the same as the MRLE. The only mod that may have to be made is replace the tube stripes. The pictures on the Efx website look black. Although there are more accurate less expensive fan made helmets available, but they are not ready to wear out of the box.
  7. Jess, The armor looks great. We do need closeup shots of the helmet and blaster to verify the details.
  8. I have a MakerOfThings blaster. The counter is included, but the blaster is fragile, and needs some TLC to get put together. I troop with the Hasbor just because it's lite and durable.
  9. Shoot Stomper a PM. He sells the mag well/magazine and counter very reasonably.
  10. Your almost there trooper. A few tweaks that need to be made to the armor. The drop box straps need to be shortened, the boxes should almost be touching the belt. The thermal detonator is upside down, and the rivet heads on the thigh boxes need to be painted white. I'll hold my blaster critique for the moment.
  11. OK bells in the second set are trimmed, thanks for the PM Mark clarifying the bell difference in the pictures. EIB granted, nice work trooper.
  12. Great looking setup, but I agree the shoulder bells need to be trimmed down as they shouldn't cover your bicep piece. One mod and you are all set for EIB.
  13. You do it in the "my controls" menu, click on "Change Display Name" on the left hand menu a little over half way down.
  14. He's never attended a con or event to be presented with one.
  15. They are rigid and have no give, the inside will tear your undersuit to shreds if it's not laid right (haven't seen one yet that is) and it's heavier than plastic. That and most fiberglass makers are poor quality recasts. There are a few fiberglass helmets that are legit, but they are mostly in collectors hands as there were very few made of the runs that I know of.
  16. We'll be doing detachment trading cards this summer. Just hold tight everyone.
  17. I used watered down acrylic craft paint. Took a few coats but it worked better than anything else I tried.
  18. Glad to hear you got back home, it was fun having you here. BTW happy belated Birthday.
  19. Screen used forearms had a right and left. Look for pictures of TM armor for the best examples as a screen used right forearm has never been cast for the TE2 kits, AP includes 2 lefts, and FX has 2 identical generic forearms. Good luck.
  20. You might have to shim them a little, but being 5'5" your gonna have to trim them shorter. Make the fronts accurate, and cheat in the back for extra room.
  21. 4/40 flat machine screws, brass if you want total accuracy. Many troopers use outlet screws as they come prepainted and are easier to find.
  22. Looks like a GF recast.
  23. Thanks gang, it's been fun and I'm not going to stop anytime soon. Just don't tell the wife how much I post .
