  1. The thread is discussing a helmet that does not exist, just talking about a what if and what people think about it.
  2. This is not not going to turn into a FX bash thread. The purpose of the thread was to get people discussing if they would like to see an accurate over sized helmet and their thoughts on it.
  3. Guys, thanks for posting the pictures but the purpose of this thread is not to post pictures for possible use on the CRL. The pictures on the first post are the ones we are planning on using, but if you would like you images to be considered please contact Paul or me. There are also very specific requirements as to the angle and lighting for a possible CRL picture.
  4. Nice build Edwin. You even incorporated many of the EIB upgrades to your kit.
  5. I know Kev makes a nice helmet, I've promoted the heck out of it (mostly on the Legion boards). But what I was wondering was something in line with AP/TE2/TM accurate but over sized and peoples thought about it.
  6. I got to thinking, one of the biggest reasons people love the FX helmet is because it's big enough for a big melon plus electronics, fans, etc.... So would people be interested in an FX sized accurate helmet if one existed? Post your thoughts.
  7. Why PM, please share with the rest of us.
  8. I made my own out of aluminum stock from the hardware store. I think it was 1 inch wide and 1/16 thick.
  9. I have velcro on the detonators metal tabs that attach to the velcro where my belt overlaps.
  10. It's all about quality over quantity. I'd rather have 100 members that only post occasionally who's posts are meaningful and helpful, than 1000 members with 1000 cool, me too, agreed fluff posts.
  11. I thought the same thing, even after looking at the pictures several times.
  12. I use the foam padding you get at craft stores.
  13. Yes the elastic has to be white.
  14. NGB stands for New German Bucket. From what I've heard it's made out of 3mm/120 gage styrene.
  15. We don't post prices of fan made helmets and armor as they are unlicensed, but a little looking and you can find the answers you are looking for.
  16. Congrats Joe.
  17. You ca view most of the armor sets out there here: --------
  18. My hat size is the same as yours and my first bucket was an AP. It was a little snug to get one and off, but not bad. You can always trim out the neck opening a little if it's a problem. The TE2, RT are a little larger, the MRCE is a little larger than those, and the OCSC ANH is the largest (FX sized) of the accurate proportioned helmets.
  19. Well the trim seems to be spot glued on. I know U channel stays on much better than S trim so maybe it was so it would stop trying to come off. But we may never know for sure. Next question is, is this done to any of the ANH helmets that are referenced?
  20. EIB status granted. But what is this detail on your blaster?
  21. You can also try PMing him here.
  22. Here are the stock pictures:
  23. Yes I do, but with photobucket compression I don't know how much would be seen. I'll play with it and see if I can crop it so it'll be clear.
  24. It's only been 4 days. I usually only do photoshop work on the weekends, but I need to get the EIBs missing pics first.
  25. Actually I've taken pictures of the inside of the same helmet. What you are seeing is the trim curving up with the helmet profile. Now the trim is uneven on the inside, so it's possible and likely that it was S trim with the inner lip cut off.
