  1. OK I think it's established they are recast. Now lets try to sit back and watch a build thread take place.
  2. EIB status granted. Nice job trooper.
  3. I'd contact AP about getting a second. That should be in your price range and from what I've seen his seconds/blemishes are excellent.
  4. These are the ones I like. Watch the fingers, they will snap and pinch quick if your not careful. BTW make sure you look at their quantity discount, buying more can actually cost less when you total out. -----
  5. When you see people talking about snaps it's for securing the strapping on the inside, not closing the armor to wear it.
  6. I found one specialty tool company that had them, but they are way expensive. I used rare earth magnets, got them on line, as the ones at the local stores were not strong enough. www.magnet4less.com is where I got mine. Order extra as they aren't that much and shipping is a little high, but their prices are way lower than anyone else out there. I've ordered twice and had no problems.
  7. The AP is smaller than a TE2 and the MRCE. Many AP owners trim the opening a little larger too.
  8. The new buttons look great. Elite status granted.
  9. I hear it's rough on the Death Star, and they keep having reactor problems. There are some openings on the new Star Destroyers, go see the galaxy and enforce Imperial order on unsuspecting locals.
  10. Elite status granted. Nice job trooper.
  11. Nothing in the pictures that I see would prevent you from going elite. There are details that can't be seen in the pics like your blaster, holster attachment, cut butt plate, and lens color. You've got a great looking setup, nice job.
  12. I put velcro on the clips and place them in the overlap of my belt where it closes in the back. That way they aren't touching my armor and are even more securely mounted.
  13. I agree, the split should be below the belt. The good news is your but and back plate are a hair high so moving it down shouldn't be a problem. Remember that the back plate doesn't overlap the kidney plate, they but up to each other and can actually have a gap. Shoot a new back shot with the cut below the belt and your good to go. Nice armor trooper.
  14. Hummmm.....I trooped at an elementary school last week, and several schools before and we all had blasters all the time. I guess just look menacing, point at the camera occasionally and put your hands on your belt.
  15. Links do not work.
  16. Congrats Tony .
  17. Pinned the post. Once again Mike you've gone above and beyond to help make helmets look a good as possible.
  18. No, it's one number per person. The letters just show the costume. If you look at some signature bars they might say TD/TK/TS 1475. That means that trooper 1475 has those 3 costumes.
  19. A couple tips for being tall and hiding the black. you can cut the cot right below the belt and put in a 2 inch spacer that will be behind the belt but will give the ab plate the illusion of being longer. Also raise the thighs if you can, the black gap between the thighs and ab plate is more noticeable that the one at the knees. Overall it looks great, especially for your height. If you want to get really nitpicky the only thing I see is the drop box straps could be shortened a bit, and the biceps look like they are a hair big on your arms.
  20. There is a navigation bar at the bottom. If you look on the right side under the last post you will see in this thread "« Next Oldest · Tech Center · Next Newest »" I do know what you are talking about though, but I'm no tech guy for looking into it. I usually just open every thread I want to read in a new window or tab and close it when I'm done. But that's the way I've done it for every forum I've ever been on.
  21. That's what I just got to use on a pair since the brush on dye didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. New for a warm day to apply it.
  22. There are 2 sale threads in the sale area that have holsters. They should be on the first 2 pages.
  23. Yes it's fixable, I have to finish editing the photo in photoshop. I usually get them done on the weekends, but occasionally work on them during the week as I have time. Not to worry, your picture will be done and posted soon.
  24. I photo shopped that picture, color corrected it and can see the ab button colors. Elite status granted.
  25. We need the ab button shot just to make sure. I agree with Paul, it would help the overall look if you raise the thighs a bit but that won't affect your elite app. Nice job trooper.
