  1. Good looking armor trooper. Should be an easy pass for elite. BTW don't forget to get your 501st access here: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=16
  2. Try looking on the RPF.
  3. Here you go: -----------
  4. Sorry Luis we don't talk about prices . But a rule of thumb is the more accurate the helmet is, the more it costs.
  5. Great to see a well done hero helmet.
  6. The hero is a style of helmet. The Luke and Han helmets are hero's plus a few of the stormtroopers have them. They have a wider face, lower brow, bubbled lenses, 3 ridges on the ear instead of 4, and the frown is shorter and narrower as there is one set less of teeth. They were also made out of ABS instead of HDPE.
  7. Now I need an action shot for your profile. Pleas no hard lighting differences like in your first couple shots.
  8. Great looking armor trooper. Looks like an easy pass. One minor tweak, see if you can get the thighs to sit higher, it'll improve the overall look, but has no bearing on your elite app.
  9. All I can say is search, these will help you out. ------------
  10. Keegan, nice post of one side of the mold story, we have armor history threads for each side of the story. Unfortunately the masses will never know absolute truth as there are too many versions and each has it's own choir singing that theirs is correct. I feel this thread like so many others popping up is going in the wrong direction.
  11. Ok guys, this thread isn't about recasting and I'm going to allow it for the moment. Keep it clean everyone.
  12. My only complaint with the haloween voice changer is my voice is so deep that it has a hard time kicking in and drops out alot when I talk. If I purposely talk higher, it works fine.
  13. Nice review, and to think I just bought a Halloween voice changer this morning.
  14. I think that this is the first time in FISD history that I'm going to rip a tread apart. First and foremost I have no stake in TM's or Gino's product as I own neither. Is TM a recast helmet or face? I don't know, while the bump is in interesting discussion point, in and of itself is not enough proof for me to say so. Also the bump was referred to as the icing on the cake, yet the cake was never shown. Until more proof is shown, I'm not convinced. Now addressing the pages of hot air and egos that have shown their ugly face over the last 5 pages. Lets face it Gino knows his stuff, and has some of the best displays out there from a distance (maybe someday he'll take up close shots and show off his goods) but his attitude and lies in this thread are inexcusable. The thing is Gino does sell helmets, not mass produced but he does. Granted they are $1000-$1100 depending on which one you want. In case anyone missed it, this is a 501st forum. That means the purpose of it is to get people in armor and costuming at whatever commitment level they have. While collectors, costumers, and fans are all welcome lets not forget the reason why this forum is here. Saying that we "play dress up" is a slap in the face of everyone in the 501st, which I know is a group that you despise, you've said it before on other forums. Another lie, Gino does sell product. He makes very inaccurate Vader chestboxes for $700, he did a run of Vader gloves for $550 but pictures were never shown, he makes Vader armor that he sculpted but I don't know what that's going for, and then he has his $1000+ stormtrooper helmets. He occasionally sells stormtrooper suits. For a guy that constantly says he doesn't sell stuff he sure sells alot of stuff. This statement just makes me sick. Enough said. You know, If I bought a $1000+ helmet and it had a detail removed or altered I'd be upset. Yet he posts it publicly... How anyone can take what he says with anything more than a grain of salt is beyond me. As for Gino constantly saying that he has been sharing his expertise for years. He hordes his costume secrets because he believes that somehow it gives him an edge. Over time all this will come out. For instance, when the ANH Vader green bolt box lights were found and became public knowledge, Gino's comment was simply that he'd been using them for years. If you knew about them why not tell the prop community. They are readily available for $7. http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=6413 Also when I was a Vader noob a few years back, I was looking for the same lights for an ESB Vader. I PMed Gino about it since he seemed to know his stuff. His response was simply that he knew what they were, but was not comfortable sharing that info. What king of sharing is that, I'm a new guy trying to start parting together a Vader and that's the response I get. All I see, and this is just my opinion, is Gino stirring the pot with the same people over and over. It's been TE, TM, and SithLord for years. But you have to hand it to him, he's persistent. I'm sure he'll blast me on his propaganda forum which I found out I was banned from this week because of what other forums I'm on. He claimed he PMed everyone before the banning, but the FISD members I know that got banned never received a PM either. That's ok, I'll take the FISD, SLD, PropDen, and DIY props any day over his. Good thing I don't take petty things like this personally. It's ashame that some people can't just enjoy the hobby.
  15. Also hit the local garrison website. It'll have a forum and let them know your coming in armor. I'm not sure where NYCC is or else I'd tell you the garrison as there are a couple in NY.
  16. Events are 100% handled on the garrison level. You could have your CO suggest a Legion event calender to LC. Personally I think it's a great idea.
  17. OK, this thread is going nowhere and leaving it open is pointless. If you want to keep bashing each other take it to the RPF. I'll post final thoughts later.
  18. Great looking armor. You'll need to suck in the gut or add some panels to address the side gap, and we need side shots of the blaster to check the T-track and you should be all set.
  19. Actually one inch strap on the drop boxes. I do use safety glasses, but I can't stand gloves. I don't have as much fine control with them, and to me a few cuts is worth it.
  20. To be honest, my 3 year old plays with my vintage SW figures as well. Most I have the accessories to but I played with them too as a kid. The nostalgia of him playing with them is worth more than any $ amount they could bring.
  21. You'll need a good pair of scissors, hobby knife, and a dremel is really handy to trim it out, fine sandpaper to hit the edges (800 grit), quality glue like E-6000 Devcon plastic welder or ABS cement. Of course you'll need strapping material, while industrial velcro, and some snaps. That ought to get you started.
  22. The greeblies are only seen in the promo shots for ESB. I posted several screen grabs and the movie blasters did not have them. The greeblies are 3 studs on the right side behind the bolt, and 2 rifle hammer greeblies on the left. For a D-ring, try your local hardware store, or Jo-ann's craft store. Or a few members have made their own out of bending coat hanger wire.
  23. Here is the link to the full roster. It loads all the way down to trooper 9999. --------------
  24. At the last con I was at they were going for $3-5 each. Rarer figures are a little more like Vader and stormtroopers, and really poor condition figures are $1-2.
  25. Officially the pauldron is an EU stormtrooper accessory. Regardless it's not cannon.
