ATTENTION TROOPERS! Feeling creative? Want to see your artwork and creativity immortalized and worn by hundreds at the biggest SW convention in the world? We are holding a contest to come up with an original FISD inspired T-shirt design for Celebration 2017 in Orlando this April 13-16. The finished product will have it's own sales thread and will be available to order in any size directly from the manufacturer! HOWEVER, you will be required to be a member of the 501st Legion to order one. UPDATE!!!!! We have a winner, folks. Here is a link to the thread! http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40877-winner-fisd-c-8-t-shirt-design-contest/ The contest will start TODAY, and all entries must be submitted by Feb. 28th. The winner will receive a free shirt with his/her design, a swag package, and best of all, bragging rights! Keep in mind that this will become the official Celebration 2017 design for the FISD, and as such and the winning entry will become the property of the First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment. All profits from shirt sales will be donated to the 501st Endowment for the Make-A-Wish foundation, which grants Star Wars associated wishes to children on behalf of the 501st Legion. So get those creative juices flowing, Troopers, and you could have your original winning design worn by hundreds and seen by thousands! Things to remember: 1. All artwork must be original and posted in this thread. 2. No trademarks allowed (Disney characters,etc.). 3. The finished design must fit in an area no bigger than 15 by 18 inches (38 x 46 cm) and be at least 300DPI 4. Existing FISD logos may be incorporated into your design. 5. If you have any questions, please ask in this thread. 6. Winning entry will be chosen by a poll, and will be announced on March 1st. Shirts will become available for purchase as soon as final approval is received, in plenty of time for Celebration!

WOW! One of the best shim jobs I've seen, Brian! As for the elastic, it should be relatively plain and 1/4 inch wide. A roll costs like $1.29. and will last a long time. (Unless you are like me and lose at least one of the danged things at every troop, LOL) -

That pack is looking GREAT, Peter! Outstanding job on the weathering, brother... not too much, not too little. -
Beginner with a few E-11 build prep/research questions

The thing with Doopydoos is that yes, they are often out of stock, and if you live anywhere other than the U.K. or Europe shipping can take up to 8 weeks, (but you will receive it). On the listing for the kit, http://www.doopydoos.com/stormtrooper-e-11-complete-anh-e-11-blaster-kit-offer-2685-p.asp, you will notice on the bottom right that there is a space for them to email you when they are back in stock. If you do this, they will email you when they are available, but it will be a generic message with almost no info. Go immediately to the site and order it. Do not wait. I have seen them sell out in less than an hour. If you do go with the full kit, and are looking to take it to the next level of accuracy, I highly suggest picking up one of these: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28444-fs-completion-sets-for-e-11-resin-kits-with-worldwide-insured-shipping-and-paypal/. I also recommend checking out the FISD E-11 Blaster Reference thread. More information than you can believe! http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32111-fisd-e-11-blaster-reference/ -
My First Build - ANH Stunt
justjoseph63 replied to Bloodhound's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Are you using Photobucket? You can edit them for image size, crop them, etc. right there before posting. Nothing wrong with large images, though. Sometimes the details help! Looks like you are well on your way to getting all your supplies in order, which will save you a TON of grief, trust me. Nothing worse than being in the middle of a build and have to stop and go to the store or order something. Also, VERY glad you decided to go with the E-6000. I have seen many, many instances on here where pieces have been ruined by super glue mishaps. Looks as if you haven't got the rare earth magnets yet. I recommend getting at least 10 of the round ones that are 3mm thick (no less) and 2 cm wide. Be sure to wrap each one with blue painter's tape, as they can scratch your armor when removing them, (sliding them off works best, as these things are CRAZY strong). -

Welcome, Blair, and congrats on ordering your AP kit! Lots of GREAT Troopers up in the Great White North that can help you out. I would definitely get in touch with the Capital City Garrison as Chad suggested, and you should also get in touch with Mark (Sylverbard) who is the Imperial Attache for that area. He can be a great help in getting you started on your path to becoming a TK, and you can PM him here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/user/19090-sylverbard/. In the meantime, research your build threads (especially the AP ones), get all your supplies in place for when Big Brown Box day arrives, (I have a thread here that will help: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/) and be sure to ask questions if you need to. Also, be sure to check out the Advanced Tactics section, where you will see just how far you can take your build toward screen accuracy! Here is a thread with more info.: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35371-eib-and-centurion-what-do-these-terms-mean/ -
Pull_and_Twist HWT Build
justjoseph63 replied to Pull_and_Twist's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Looks.. too... shiny! If you are worried about weathering, and being able to go back and forth between regular TK and HWT, you can always use the method I did for the armor: I went to the Dollar store, bought a black powder "pancake style" makeup thingy and a "blush" brush. 2 bucks total. It goes on easy, and pretty much stays there until you need to remove it using a regular household cleaner like 409. -
TK-16924 Requesting HWT Centurion Status [Anovos] [7]

AWESOME job, Brian!!! Always great to see another level 3 HWT submission! Incredible job on those shims, brother. They may need to see an outside view of the side shims, but if they look even half as good as the ones on your ab and kidney you should be set to go. Also, you will probably need to change out the white elastic strap on the back of the shoulder bridges... it should be about 1/4 inch wide, and is available at most craft/fabric shops (even Wal-mart) An EASY fix! I look forward to welcoming you to the ranks of the few, the proud, the HWT Centurions! -
Looking GREAT, Ricky!!!! I would suggest trimming down the cover strips on the forearms until it is flush with the edge. Easy 10 second fix with a Dremel! You don't need the optional info., but you will need to edit the post containing the photos to add the mandatory info just as in your EIB submission. I will have those Centurion rockers waiting for you as requested! Mandatory Information Armor = Armor Maker Helmet= Helmet Maker Blaster= Blaster Type [Expert Infantry Request Thread URL] Optional Height = Your Height Weight = Your Weight Boots = Boot Maker Canvas belt = Belt Maker Hand Plates = Hand Plate Type Electronics= Voice Electronics Maker Neck Seal = Neckseal Type/Maker Holster = Holster Maker

You may need to contact the MEPD and post these pics there, but I must say that you have done a GREAT job on those cover strips and the paint job on your bucket! If your attention to detail is like that for the rest of the build, I can see you at SWAT in no time!

Those seams look magnificent, Pawel! That is the first time I have seen this, but it looks like maybe there was some dirt/dust on the sandpaper or armor that worked it's way into the seam. You might try hitting it with some different cleaners, or worse case scenario you may have to (gently) grind out those areas and re-do them. If you are (hopefully) are aiming for Centurion, I don't think it should affect that, but I am sort of OCD and that would drive me crazy. I hope you find out what the problem was, and that you post some photos of how it turns out!

Just finished first ANOVOS KIT Very Nice

My buddy Jeff (Wingnut65) has a great mini-tutorial on how to set them if you need it, Christopher. It is about 8 posts down on my thread here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34902-centurion-level-rivet-sets-for-sale/ -

12 rivets? You should only need 6 for the ab/kidney connection and 2 for the ammo pack on the thigh. They may have sent extra. When painting the ab buttons, be sure not to make them too wide. Check out some of the approved Centurion submission threads in the Advanced Tactics section for reference: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/ -
My first AM kit came with all the necessary Sandie items as well.

Finding one isn't all that difficult, (they are offered here from time to time) but they aren't cheap: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/40270-fs-hengstler-counter-eagle/
-
Not a shameless plug at all. With as many people asking about these, you should consider posting up a sales thread! I feel it's better to "keep it in the family" as it were.
-
I would stick with a compression shirt. They are pretty inexpensive, (usually less than 15 or twenty bucks) https://www.amazon.com/DRI-EQUIP-Sleeve-Moisture-Wicking-Athletic/dp/B00LWHUOZQ/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&qid=1484313044&sr=8-14&keywords=men+black+compression+shirt, and do a great job of wicking moisture away from your body. The undersuit should be body conforming, and cotton T shirts will stretch and sag.

Becoming a HWT is not that much more costly, Scott. If you need sources for the accessories, just PM me.

I would test the material on the inside before using a dry-erase marker to see if it stains, Vincent. You can also use a grease pencil (china marker) or a regular pencil. Like Jim mentioned, it may be a bit time consuming but I would take it off in increments, following the existing lines. It's easy to remove, but once it's gone, it's gone. Pictures really are worth a thousand words, and feel free to post as many and as often as you like so that we can better help you. Most importantly, take your time!
