DarthBiscuit's R1TK Build (Jimmiroquai kit)
Sly11 replied to DarthBiscuit's topic in Rogue One Build Threads
Some form of comfort is pretty darn important. Nothing worse than spending good money on your dream costume and not being able to wear it because it hurts too much. The small steps you are taking will have a big payoff in the long run. Great work so far. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Already sent out Joseph

It’s correct above his Avi as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s an AP kit lol, one of the more difficult sniper plates to fit. I ended up heating mine and reshaping it to align the sides with the top ridges. Challenging but fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The BigJasoni's ROTK 3D Print Build Thread
Sly11 replied to BigJasoni's topic in Rogue One Build Threads
The back plate piece is a very similar design to the TFA FOTK where it hooks over the top and the TD attaches to the bottom, minus the grooves that run down its length of course. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Congratulations and welcome aboard

No, but they are a stack of fun to build and there is some great information in the E11 build threads. The DD kit was the first part of my 501st journey, I learnt a lot during that process and enjoyed every moment of it. It's stood up to 6 years of trooping only requiring small touch ups in paint chips over the year, the rest of the time it is on display in my home office.

The BigJasoni's ROTK 3D Print Build Thread

To help answer the question regarding your kidney piece, If those tabs are not visible from the outside of your armour and are simply there to allow better alignment you will be fine. The CRL and review only cover what is visible. We ask for images internally and of strapping only to better help understand how the armour is sitting on you if thee DO's see an issue with alignment of parts etc. -

My first ANH TK Build-Assistance Welcome! (ATA)
Sly11 replied to Phat Rob's topic in ANH Build Threads
I’m just going to go back a few posts to where you are looking for a way to stabilize the knee ammo pack. I simply used gaffer tape behind mine to reduce its movement. I use a strip in the center inside of the box that runs up to the inside front ridge of the thigh. It stops it from dropping but also raising or tilting up. You would never know it is there. I chose white gaffer tape to honor the production crews, go too patch job on the screen used armour. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The other big thing you can’t replace is the feeling you get from building your own kit. You will be asked multiple times once you are approved and trooping where you bought your armour and you will be able to take pride in stating you built it yourself from a kit. You will learn new skills and be able to talk in confidence about the experience and joy that it is. I promise you, you will not be disappointed if you assemble it yourself. Just remember we want to create a CRL with this build so the LMO team might well want some Input. Action figures are only part of the story for reference the other part is the animated character to draw reference from. The animated character also did not have a black trim for the brow so because 2 references don’t have it, chances are this might be an issue. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dead Post Links & Broken Photos, How You Can Help
Sly11 replied to Sly11's topic in Forum Help & Support
I'm just going to short cut Glens process by 2 steps. Once you have pasted the right click etc into a new browser, simply copy the section that you require into a new tab rather than deleting the front and rear sections of the link. What you are copying looks like this as an example. http://i1270.photobucket.com/albums/jj610/Sly1169/photo2_zps3addc161.jpg So start withthe http://photo....... and end with the .jpeg Saves you having to highlight/delete twice and slightly lessens the chance of error. -

has it, Firefox doesn't but using your method of highlighting then clicking back space removes the information you need to keep so I'm not having success with it yet. -

Restored my own E11 Blaster build thread lol https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28297-slys-first-build-e-11-doppy-full-resin/ -
I lost quite a few images from my build thread and have been trying to find where else i may have stored them to restore my own threads here on the forums. Interesting thing was at the time Photobucket pulled the pin on the free service, my images remained for almost a year without the watermarks, then suddenly one day, that changed. I wish I had downloaded then now as it would make life so much easier with restoration.

Anyone have suggestions for a CLEAN mesh install?
Sly11 replied to Toothdoc's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
It's piqued my curiosity! -
There is no visible seam on the screen used assets, so Glens suggestion of having it face inwards would probably best conceal it for yours.

Good advice Mark I have seen that happen before.

How is the chest plate sitting with the current back plate position? You always have a little room to move with fine adjustments.

TK-36544 Requesting TFA Captain Phasma EIB status (KB)
Sly11 replied to Surgtech's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Thanks for your input Kaden, yes we do want to get work done on the Phasma CRL so will come looking for you when we start as there are probably several other things that need to be improved, changed and updated to bring it up to scratch.
