  4. Hi Logan, just a quick glance and more will chime in shortly but the FX helmets were grandfathered in about 2 years ago now and as such are no longer approvable as far more accurate representations are very readily available.
  5. Nail biting stuff folks, can you believe only 8 more centurion approvals and we are at 500 of our highest approved rank. Keep those applications coming in people so we can again celebrate.
  6. Congratulations Scott, great to see we have a TKC joining the Centurion ranks
  7. Generally what this means is you have one leg stronger than the other. This can be caused by an injury sustained at some time and various muscle groups compensate for others. i was a cyclist, road and Criterium racer for years and have seen plenty with thighs or calf muscle at different sizes. Your leaner leg may well be the one doing the extra work so it has less fat and stronger fibers than the other. Generally isolated weights will expose the difference in strength which in turn will give you a program of specific exercises to do to bring balance to the left and right legs. Eventually the size difference will decrease but everyone does tend to favor either their left or right for work load.
  8. Very nice Eric, Nico's work is always first rate. love some of the latest files he has produced

  11. Welcome back James, we are here to help.
  12. I simply use black insulation tape so it is easy to remove the mesh and clean the inside of my helmet every now and then. It has never let me down.
  13. Beautiful work Chris.
  14. Beautiful work Caleb, glad you are still finding time to work your way through this build. Amazing detail and a very clean build thread as well,
  15. Imgur is one of the more popular hosting sites and easy to use. Definitely follow Joseph tutorial it is the way to go.
  16. Being fiber glass with a resin coat, yep it sure can crack but there are several things to take into consideration more than just the material armour is made of. Size of trooper wearing it and how it fits. Close fitting parts can catch and rub against each other creating pressure points that can crack ABS of flex fiber glass. How you troop. Some are very active and not only troop frequently but also move around vigorously. Run, jump around etc. So depending on how you act can determine how long your armour will hold up. Tall or short, removing material in some areas means less flex than the standard size which can also alter the structural properties of various pieces.
  17. Nice to see this progressing Ian, keep up the good work.

  20. Beautiful build Dan, well done sir.
  21. Congratulations Matt, very nice purchase. Don't stress too much with your build, it wont take long and you will be very confident in all aspects of it. The double snap strapping has worked exceptionally well for many members here including myself, another good choice. Looking forward to your BBB day and subsequent build thread.
  22. Congratulations Ardeshir, another beautiful build.
  23. Injection molded plastics. Polyurethane is certainly at least these days becoming very popular by LFL for many of their armour based costumes.
  24. If you need to go wider on the back of the thighs because you need that little bit extra room, 25 - 30 is perfectly fine. The front of the limbs is where you want it as correct as possible. In saying that, no one is going to scale your photos and say "hey your cover strips are bigger than 16mm not 15mm"
