I'd like to announce the arm-twisting promotion of Bill Haggis to the position of company clerk Detachment Membership Liaison. Congrats to Billy! I've tried putting this off as long as I could, but the reality is that FISD has more active members that most garrisons (we have over 200 official members, 200+ more 501st folks, and I've lost count of normal regular visitors). Heck, I think the only forum larger is the 501st boards. As such, it's high time we had someone dedicated to handling all the membership duties to leave me free to party work harder on projects. The DML will 1) Handle all membership status change requests (including EIB awards) 2) Handle any call for suspension/banning by the XO/Provost when the DL is not around 3) Keep the EIB membership page up to date What's that you say? Yes, why it does mean that Billy has access to the Admin Control Panel now. Will I be able to sleep at night? Of course! Besides, Aaron (Synaptyx) is in the same time zone and also has Admin access - what could go wrong? Bill - report to the Officer's Lounge for ACP training pronto! (and why yes, those are Twi'liks tending bar...) That is all. Now, I'm off to do some more delegating hard work...

Scott - you are one of the strongest men I know. I cannot begin to imagine what you're going through. I've tried to write my thoughts succinctly to no avail, so I'll leave with this: Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers, always. That I and many others are here to help in whatever way we can. True friends are not those around you in time of plenty, but are those with you in time of need. We are here for you Scott, and your family.

Actually you're not SOL. All the CRL's are under review by Thomas (LMO). We can always include it with a justification just like we would the DLT-19 and MG-15 and see what he says.

One visible seam is preferred, but not required. If this were clones we could mandate one seam as they're all painted anyway, but we felt that was too unrealistic a goal for TK's.

Actually the seam on the back plate is too high for most folks and will be behind the belt. If you look at the screen caps the split is below the belt. I'd suggest wearing the armor first and then, using the screen caps as reference, draw a line in pencil where the split should be for you.

My TE2 is for sure not the same right and left.

This thread is open. Any post that is build related will be allowed. Any post talking about recasting at this point will be deleted. There are other threads for this. I have deleted all posts not directly related to this build, or dealing with the initial discovery of the source of the helmets. Andreas - you have indicated that you learned your lesson. Let's hope not to see more helmets after this build is complete.

Let's be 100% crystal on this boys and girls: The Legion DOES have a stance on recasting. It states unequivocally that we DO NOT condone recasting. Andreas - by continuing to pimp out this guys helmets when it's been time and time again pointed out, again very clearly, that these are RECAST AP helmets, you are condoning his actions. It's forgivable when you buy them not knowing, but you also were in denial in finding the truth when it was pointed out to you. You will need to come clean at some point brother - even if it's in the 501st only area. You owe people your integrity, else you're throwing your lot in with these folks. Especially since you are part of a costuming club that openly and clearly states that we do not condone recasting.

Impressive given the content. These are not "me too" type posts. He's made an outstanding contribution to this forum.
