  1. Well, as the email says this is really between the LMO & the UKG GML. Your GML says it himself - he holds the UKG to higher standards than the rest of the Legion. To be honest I have no idea how far this can go, and to what latitudes GML's can allow variances. Perhaps it's best to post on the Legion boards, as it would be interesting to hear from the LC & other GML's why one costume would be held to a different standard than others. To wit: TIE Pilots troop with weapons all the time, yet there is no film showing them doing so. Same goes with Officers who seem happy to wear what ever side arm they want though only the gantry officer is so shown, and that's with a Power5 and not any other type of blaster. Again, it all comes back to who has more authority, the LMO or the GML.
  2. Yup, that's what many are. Lucas was way behind schedule and over budget, and audiences didn't really notice such things at the time. Heck, I don't remember most any of these when I was 9. My worst experience was watching Top Gun with someone who had been in one of the aircraft (RIO = radar intercept officer) that was used in filming. Almost every shot has something technically wrong with it. Oh - and never watch a movie like Lethal Weapon with a real police officer either. :-p
  3. And I replied. Well if he's got an issue then it's between him & Thomas (LMO). I stated the facts as I see them and the ball is now in their court.
  4. Congrats! The updates look much better That makes Singapore Garrison with 5 Expert Infantryman - great job guys
  5. I'm just replying so it's easier to get updates. As a beneficiary of several of your helmets (just missing the ANH Stunt!), I'm eager to watch.
  6. Sure. My email is [email protected]. You can loop Thomas in via [email protected] Send an email to your GML & cc us.
  7. Not sure they can do that. Thomas (LMO) has final say in all EU characters, not your GML.
  8. Either way - found or built - I like the concept. I think it would make the armor easier to adjust than using velcro like many people do. I don't dig the exposed screw heads for my personal armor though they are of course beautiful from a prop replication standpoint. I'm surprised no one has suggested this method of strapping when the Legion was younger - sure seems easier than using snap plates actually as the straps would be more easily adjustable. I've seen some people make ABS bridges that serve the same purpose, but it's not like people make them in kits (perhaps an unserved need?)
  9. Great seeing you here Brian - this should be a fantastic thread! My own journey started out as 100% FX, then like you the AP helmet upgrade before moving entirely to something else (TE2 in my case).
  10. My experience is...it depends. I've sat in my FX butt plate on park benches and car rides. Tough ABS that. For the TE2, I've sat in tax rides but to be honest haven't been overly confident sitting on a hard surface. Then again, replacement butt plates (for ATA at least, which will be near the same as TE2/CAP) are inexpensive and relatively easy to swap, so I guess if you do break one, well then just get another.
  11. Whee! What a ride it's been. Congrats Brian, Mr. double Mille
  12. Yup, saw that come through over the evening - congrats! Actually you should be a TK, not a TX. And don't forget to have Billy update your membership to see all the 501st only areas ;-)
  13. This is outstanding! You should work with Terry to get that pinned & added to the Academy. A picture is truly worth 1000 words.
  14. Looking good. There's a small reactor leak down in detention block 1138. A squad is heading down there now, please attach yourself to that group and help sort it out. (in other words, well done )
  15. A very happy birthday to one of FISD's finest - Joey TK-2126. As the only 501st member in Bolivia, he's been a postive force for the Legion and an indomitable spirit. And, a good friend. Can't believe how young you are - and I look forward to the day of meeting you again.
  16. Madison was warm enough I walked to class (30 minutes each way) year-round (then again, that's two sweaters + a good coat). If you really want cold, live up in Minnesota. 40 below zero you're just cold not matter what you wear. I graduated in 1990, B.S. in Economics. Alas, I ran out of funds to go to graduate school, something I've regretted all this time.
  17. I went to the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Great state, great city. Loved it there and at times wish I'd never left. Hope you get it / like it!
  18. Great time for SuperTrooper to break silence & jump in, methinks. Scootch can also comment...
  19. Here is what we have so far: http://forum.whitearmor.net/index.php?showtopic=12424&st=0 Still waiting on the hi-res from TK4999...
  20. I don't know why not. I used ABS cement exclusively on my first FX kit.
  21. CAP is TE recast however the knee plate is TE2 (or TM?) recast, the thermal detonator control panel is crashman recast IIRC. The belt I'm not sure of - it's definitely not the same as you'd get from TE2 at least, and TE2 has the older molds from TE. Maybe he built his own buck for that. With acronyms, it's best to use CAP for the pulls that Chris Peters (aka weiBes aka CAP) pulled, and use CAP-W for the work that Scootch is doing.

  23. If you had at least 1 post, the account would still be there. What email address? Otherwise, there's no duplication.
  24. And thanks for all the fish! Always great having you here Pete - hope you're b-day is awesome
