  1. I've pruned any account that had 0 posts and hadn't logged on for over a year. That may be way, but if you've at least logged on you'd be fine...
  2. All - a suggestion was made to put all the build threads in one place. I've created a new forum called "Armor Build" and bulk copied some 266 topics to that area. Enjoy!
  3. Skullworx actually offered these for a time, though I'm not sure he's selling them now.
  4. Fascinating. Can you try again? I hid 2010.5 so you shouldn't see it as an option.
  5. Fascinating - here is what I see in both IE & FF Do not use 2010.5, you should use 2010 or 2010.6
  6. Are you sure you're not hitting 2010.5?
  7. The default browser is back to being FISD 2010. There is only one known issue with this skin post-upgrade, and that's if you click on the "Today's Active Posts" link. Um, and all of a sudden quoted text is green instead of grayscale. Did you try setting it back to FISD 2010?
  8. The data is not lost - it's all there. What is not happening is that it's either not being queried correctly, or the UI is not displaying the information correctly. I have call in to IPB, so we'll see soon enough...
  9. Looking good there Blaine! If you ever get larger photos, would be good to see you in action
  10. Not sure. I tried using a different skin/different browser with the same result. The good news is that the posts are actually there in the database - for instance Billy I found your post #119745 in topic #9474 in the database. Why it's not displaying on the site is a mystery that I'll have to see if getting a better skin will fix. Here is the query I ran (yes, the where clause is redudant but it's there to illustrate the correct topic) And here is the result (invision trucates the result
  11. I can see topics & posts Billy - send me a screen cap if you can't. Not sure why posts are missing - that part is worrisome. The feedback I got from Invsion community is that I have to re-install the skin from scratch. I'm in class all week, so unless Aaron has some spare cycles it may be a few days before I can get to it I'm afraid.
  12. I've narrowed it down that this is an issue with the skin, not the board per se. Continuing to investigate.
  13. Sorry - had to update the forums. Should be good now for most features, but it broke some hooks.
  14. I'd suggest dear sir that you correct the situation with an excellent post that can be stickied, and added to the Academy
  15. Understood. I'm half thinking of getting a TX just to see what Thomas would say. Perhaps swap out the TD for a sweet Nova Elite
  16. Well, one can argue that on many EU LFL references there are many other details of the suit that are not distinguishable. We approve suits all the time with things like latex hand guards, hand painted tears/traps, etc. LFL materials can't always be used either - if you look at clones there is no way the human body can be made to wear a uniform that looks like that (your neck would surely snap), so allowances have to be made. I see nothing wrong with allowing an interpretation of the costume based on film canon sources, esp. considering that many EU references also take liberties with such details.
  17. It should be a non-issue. For 501st & EI acceptance the Hero isn't really broken out in such detail. Option: Hero Configuration An ANH EIB applicant may opt for a Hero configuration, which is defined as meeting all of the Stunt requirements above but with the following variations: * Lenses must be green bubble or smoke bubble only, not flat * Ears have only two screws used per side, one above the ear bump and one at the base of the helmet * Only six teeth total should be cut out, three per side. Perhaps later this or next year we'll break out the ANH Hero from stunt and add more requirements such as correct number of holster rivets, correct ear bump count, and correct hand plates, but not until we have some other projects completed.
  18. Thanks Brian - that would be very useful. I'd like to suggest that anyone who wants to be involved with this or the Academy first ping Terry as he'll be the coordinator. For php coding, etc. please liaise with Aaron (Synaptyx).
  19. Guys - I get it. However, what's the value of that over just using something that integrates with the forum? And secondly - I'll say this again - our focus needs to be on completing what we have in progress before adding more projects.
  20. Actually there is an inexpensive add-on for these forums that supports chat. I have a few questions though: 1. How much will it be used? On other 501st boards with it, how many people are actually using it and is it beneficial? 2. For now, we already have some incomplete initiatives for the year and it would seem to me best to focus on getting them done rather than starting something new, else we'll end up with a lot of good ideas that are half-assed. Here is what we still have: 1. Getting the 501st CRL's complete (Incinerator & Stormtrooper Commander). Need models to take & post pix. 2. Get Academy to done. Really want to help troopers? How about contributing an article for those that are still not complete. Me & PandaTrooper (Terry) have written all of them to date, and having extra people helping would speed things up. 3. Get the EIB's on FISD updated. One comment we had was that by using ANH Stunt as a base, it means while the others are short people have to refer to two pages. These need to be self contained, with better images as well. To date all this work is done by me. I could use help. 4. How about cleaning up some areas of the forum? Some threads can be consolidated, good builds threads re-organized and more easily found, etc. Right now this is also just me. I brought on more staff, but they instantly got swamped (Terry with Academy, Dan with Newsletter). 5. PHP coding. We could use some help here, such as making the EIB page be driven from the database rather than an XML file. Having the TIPS page on the Academy pull from the database. How about we get COMPLETE on the above items first, eh? I ask in that there is already a boat-load of resources to get new folks help - we have more tutorials and build threads than ever in our history. In the end, I'd like to complete what we started for the year rather than adding yet another item to the queue that will just detract from us to focus on what's in progress.
  21. Ah, the advantages to being British! TM is local, chelsea boots everywhere, RomFx is local too. Highest # of EIB troopers Legion-wide. Is there anyplace better to be a TK than the UK?
  22. Actually the action was not spurious. It was reported in the DL only are of the 501st boards, and I was contacted directly by both the Redback Garrison CO & GML. Based on the evidence/charges, I investigated the account and discovered behaviour consistent with the charges as brought. As such, there was only one option possible to take given the facts. Kudos to the Redback leadership team for their due diligence / sleuthing as well as being transparent at the Legion level in ensuring all Dets were informed.
  23. I think we have a short term fix, which is to just send out fewer messages per batch until we can get timeouts increased from 30 seconds. While it took awhile to run, it completed successfully: Yesterday, 06:53 AM 7,173 members 1478 minutes
  24. And with that, he becomes only the 6th person ever to be banned from these boards. Silly rabbits - you'd think they'd learn that sooner or later the truth always comes out.
  25. Hey Erik - great seeing you here. As I mentioned on the garrison boards, the best thing is to just relax and be a sponge for about a month as there's much to absorb. Also, we have tons of local events for you to attend and just meet people and perhaps help as a spotter. It will be a good chance to get to know your local garrison as well as seeing the various armors in person. Ta - see you at a troop soon enough
